this app is great, until you’re in somewhere like south east Asia, where they rarely take credit cards, and if they do they tack on a 3% charge.
Because there’s a £300 a day withdrawal limit.
It seems ludicrous that you can not increase it!
And most ATMs are going to charge you £3-5 per withdrawal, which I’m starting to realise adds up.
It defeats the purpose of this card for me, if you’re travelling for a long period of time and need to purchase something substantial like a motor vehicle for example.
I’m sure that it’s great for travelling in Europe and USA.
JUST LET US INCREASE THE WITHDRAWAL LIMIT! (It’s our money after all)
Not only has the bank stopped any of payments going through which took an entire day of admin time for me- this bank does not allow company secretaries to do any admin so all invoicing and bill payment has to be done by a director who of course has so much time for admin.
I just downloaded this app to finally have a good banking app. Everything was going great, until I needed to enter my address. I did, but it wouldn’t let me change my country to the US. It was stuck on the United Kingdom. That’s why I gave it four stars. Will be deleting.
Amazing online bank! Starling is super user friendly, it’s easy to budget and see summary of spendings. I’ve even used it abroad for travel and never had an issue. And if you need to contact support, their team is very helpful, they’ve helped with airline dispute and made the process effortless. Would highly recommend!

Great bank! Got locked out of my app in the middle of the night ona weekend! I sent a short SOS video within 20 minutes regained access. With so much fraud I applaud the extra steps, 24 support and help directly from Starling even though I was locked out. 5 stars!!!!

I find Starling and access to account data very easy to use.
Tried to pay my house rent, took me through a bunch of hoops to pay. Not as straightforward as I would have liked
