HotelsByDay doesn’t even work
Takes too long to set up. Hotel was not ready. Also, the hotel was full of an incompetent staff.
Searching and using HotelsByDay made me feel like it was designed decades ago! Really needs to be updated to use full screen space, click off screen blockers, and give summaries of search without taking 7 pages to scroll through. Use another app!
First my town isn't listed. Towns that are listed and nearby pull up no results. HotelsByDay doesn't say there are none nearby it just says nothing I click through the list of cities and sometimes 1 or two pop up. Cool if I want to see random hotels in the world.
Not sure which is the answer but HotelsByDay is worthless either way.
That app barley works, I couldn’t even sign up, and it loaded forever and never worked.
Map needs to update as u roll. Sometimes I don’t care about hotels where I am... I care about hotels where I’m going. So if I’m in Boston but I’m going to Portland, ME HotelsByDay makes me find Portland before showing me hotels there by a drop down? No good. I need to be able to scroll the map and hotels pop up as I go.
HotelsByDay is a great idea but it doesn’t let you filter by anything other than date. And it only gives you six hotels to choose from, even though there are many on the map. I’ll download again after it gets updated.
Since HotelsByDay was free I really can't complain much, but it has some problems:
- If you view the search results, there doesn't seem to be a way to navigate back to the home screen. I had to kill HotelsByDay and start it over to access the home screen again.
- The number of hotels offering this service is extremely limited - there are none in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, Orlando, etc.
Great app. Fast fluid booking process. Simple and easy to use. Really useful for traveling across the country - red-eye arrivals in LA, check out from Airbnb and have somewhere to stay the rest of the afternoon. Love it for day cations in hot hotels.
HotelsByDay is purposely designed for booking hotels for not overnight stay, which is fantastic! There really isn’t even a single app that does the same job. For regular flyer, this is the best app for you to book a hotel during day time and take a couple of hours nap. Highly recommend!

Great App/Concept, use it often.
This is an amazing app which does what no other app/website in the hotel industry does. HotelsByDay finds you rooms for hourly rates instead of nightly. HotelsByDay is great if you’re someone like me who likes to drive a lot and doesn’t need a room for the whole day and night, just a few hours for some sleep. With HotelsByDay you won’t have to pay those hurtful over $150 rates for a room which you won’t even use for 12 hours.
I use HotelsByDay religiously, really gets the job done easily, fast, and well!
