Everything need to be changed

Please redesign everything. It is so easy to ask random people do they understand anything they see in fitbark tabs. Most people will need few days of active exploring to start understand it even a little. Please put straight graphs without over design them. Sharing stats to friends will never work because friends don't have that much time to explore design. Change scrolling to buttons to make it less confusing. I don't understand who told you that it is intuitive as it is right now. Of course crazy dog lovers will be OK with any design as long as it take them more time to waste on pretending that they care, maybe for them more difficult is better, but as for me, im not Simpsons crazy cat lady, I want data to be simple and straight forward, fast, easy to read + intuitive clean design

Found my fur baby with fitbark

My dog took out after a squirrel this afternoon and paid no attention to my recall efforts. I turned on the tracking and ot showed the neighborhood she went to. Postman in area verified he saw her in that area. In between was a wooded area with a slough so was difficult as no roads. Then it showed where she had moved up and drove there and there she was standing beside the humane society building which mean she was headed back to area she last saw us.
If there had been arrows point on her direction I would have probably found her much sooner. But the fact still remains that In the end we did find her with the Fitbark GPS. Also it showed me she covered 8.6 miles. She is now one tired little girl dog.

Great devices, the app could use some UI the work

The two Fitbark 2 trackers I got for my dogs are the best overall devices for what I needed. Great battery life, small, sturdy and well designed.

FitBarkGPS is also a good add but I also found it a bit unintuitive to use. Maybe it’s because I have two pets but a lot of the insights are buried behind menus and UI that needs interaction or discovery. Getting to the things I want to see most takes multiple taps, scrolls and other interactions. I don’t care for the journal and that’s the most prominent thing along with the multiple notifications that my dog has had her best week etc. I may be wrong but the resolution of the apps also doesn’t seem optimized for the big iPhone screen on the Max (11 or 12).

Net: there is a ton of potential here, but FitBarkGPS needs a redesign to make it simpler, more intuitive and easy to discover features and insights.

Now I know where my cat goes!

I bought this over 2 years ago now. The first one I received was defective. It wouldn’t connect to the wi-fi. I contacted customer service and the walked me through setting it up but it still didn’t connect. They sent me a new one once I returned the defective one. I didn’t have any issues until I moved from Nevada to Ohio. Now the FitBark doesn’t seem to hold a charge. I contacted customer service and they suggested I needed a wi-fi extender because it was having trouble staying connected. I have not purchased that so instead of staying charged for almost a week it stays charged for less than 48 hours. With all that being said, I really do feel better knowing my cat is wearing the FitBark.

Gives a voice to my dogs and more!

This is a great app! It builds an understanding of your dog's normal patterns and alerts you when things go off track. Helps you interpret what has changed and the likely reasons why. And in this way it gives your dog a voice to communicate with you. My vet has found it to me a good tool for help in diagnosing an allergy. And as an extra option I can tie into FitBarkGPS myself with my Fitbit. Now I have a motivator for myself and my dogs. Note this is not a dog pedometer. It is much more sophisticated and nuanced than that. This is an unbelievable database that will help you understand what is happening with your dog hour by hour and day by day plus give you access to other people and their dogs around the world. Lots to explore in FitBarkGPS. Plus customer service is unbelievably terrific. You will be impressed.

Couple of small fixes but otherwise great!

I have this problem that whenever I go to yesterday’s chart it won’t let me hit the back button. I end up having to restart FitBarkGPS . The same thing happens when looking and another dogs profile. I think it should be encouraged more to fill out your “journal” with the activities that your dog has done for the day to help other owners get ideas. A good way to encourage this is to have sort of like a browse page with just journals that people have filled out. One last thing is that I don’t think you should limit how many dogs you can follow or even see. That being said I love FitBarkGPS and all the different settings to see sleep and exercise and how they are doing compared to similar dogs. The help chat was quick to respond and very helpful. Overall I recommend.

You can run, but you can’t hide!

I recently moved out into the woods after always living in the city. It was a huge change for my 2 Labrador Retrievers. They’ve always had a fenced in yard, well, now we don’t have that luxury being out here in the woods. With the Labs only being 2 & 3 years old, they are still very rambunctious and want to run. Any chance they get, they will both take off together and I wouldn’t see them for hours. In the meantime, I would be sick to my stomach from the nerves. Thanks to the FitBark, my mind can rest a little at ease with the GPS tracker.

I do feel as though FitBarkGPS itself needs some work with location accuracy, though, it is partially the fault of we do have poor WiFi connection out here, so it’ll sometimes say “Stella has left home” when she would be sitting right next to me in the living room. However, what makes up for that one little minor detail, is that the customer care is quick to respond and available to you 24/7, so the few times I couldn’t find my dog, they could track my dog’s location very quick for me!

I would also like to add that I love the battery life!! It can go 2.5 weeks between each charge.

Thanks to FitBark, I know that my dog is safe, I know where she is, and I can also keep track of her sleep quality, milage and calories burned each day. Best purchase for any and all dogs with mischief!

The best there is!!!

Fitbark has been a game changer for us. I have a high energy breed and we have been using Fitbark since he was a puppy. It helped to track his sleep and calories burned but mostly was very instrumental in helping us to gauge how much exercise he required each day. A tired pup is a happy pup! And helps to keep us all on track and in shape! typically we do up to 3 hours of exercise. Fitbark allows you to see details like steps per 5 min interval. I know when he is just getting a leisurely walk and when he is really running. It’s also been an excellent tool to use when I can’t be there to exercise him and have had to rely on others. He once went to doggy daycare and they told me he played all day and sent pics etc. They didn’t know I had the Fitbark and guess what, my boy barely moved that day!! Peace of mind! Also their customer service is EXCELLENT! You can tell that each person that you interact with is a pet lover and loves our pets as much as their own.

What a fantastic little idea!

Just got my FitBark for Assisi yesterday and loving it! Perfect companion for my little girl trying to lose her "after Christmas" pounds like her Mom. My Fitbit is part of me--I never leave home without it and Assisi will be the same. Now we can get slim for summer together! My only complaint is that you can't edit a journal entry and add to it without deleting it. That really would be nice so you dont have to keep making new entries to correct.
Update: we completed Week 1 as of yesterday and we are both just really having “a ball” (pardon the pun!) with this wonderful little device. Sisi actually lost a whole pound, she’s sleeping really well (wonderful being able to monitor her sleep with this!) and she’s a much more active dog. We’re having Amit of fun bonding time and she’s getting her sometime procrastinating Mom to move more too.
Really doggy parents, you’ve got to get one of these!!!

This app is fantastic! Support is great!

Our dog has a clinical anxiety so she stays home all day, everyday. We looked for a solution for monitoring her activity levels, so that we can be sure she stays active despite no longer being able to attend doggy daycare. FitBark gives great insight into the activity levels throughout the day and sets a goal based on other dogs of similar size/weight etc. the battery lasts multiple months without needing to recharge and the device can sync retroactively if we haven’t opened FitBarkGPS in a few days.

At some point we were experiencing an issue with the device not syncing properly, we contacted support and within the hour they were able to push a firmware update. That’s incredible! As an engineer I am in awe of the speed at which they were able to troubleshoot and push a fix, to a hardware device no less! Impressive!

Highly recommended!

Amazing Customer Service

I got a Fitbark for my 6 pound chihuahua as a safety mechanism. Being so small, it’s easy for him to escape through small gaps in fences and dart out of doors without being noticed, so the comfort of knowing exactly where he is at all times provides an immense amount of comfort. We chose this brand over other GPS collars bc it was the smallest/lightest and because their customer service was by far the most responsive when I reached out with questions. We’ve had our Fitbark for about a year now and every time I’ve had an issue, I was able to connect with an actual, knowledgeable human (no A.I.!) within 2 minutes and given solutions that easily solved the issue every time. I’ve never experienced such great customer care from any company, ever. Beyond that, the Fitbark does its job well. I love being able to see when my pup’s being active and playing with his friends or going on walks while we’re away. He’s young and healthy, but I know that we’ll one day run into a situation where he’s not feeling well and the activity and vitals trackers will provide data to help us identify and nip issues in the bud before they become more serious.

Finally the GPS for us!

I tried all the GPS for dogs out there and we have been waiting for the FitBark to do a GPS version for a while. The activity data is by far the best one out there. Many other products have taken the FitBark app as THE reference for data.

I got the GPS on black Friday and I started using it on December the 6th. I am on the 25th and the battery still is at 30%. Every time the dog leaves or gets back to the safe place I get notified within a couple of minutes. This is in line with the Whistle 3 and GO. The Fi did not work at all for me: quality is questionable and support is non-existent.

The best part is the design. Slightly bigger than the FitBark 2 but still the smallest GPS for dogs on the market. Much better for medium or small dogs, and much lighter too. You can see it fits on the collar so much better than any other.

Setup and apps were a little glitchy. I had to contact support to move on from an error while creating the safe place but they promptly replied (less than 1 minute to get the resolution!) and I was up and running a few moments later. I did have a couple of false notifications, but with few safe place adjustments, everything is working fine now.

Happy (Dog’s) and FitBark adventures

This has been such a comfort to have and not live in fear that Happy will get out of the yard while I am gone and I will never see him again. We have three homes and I have been able to set up three Safe Places and know I do not have to worry. Since I have set up my three Safe Places it allows my battery to be conserved when he is in any of the three Safe Places. This is a wonderful device (and I have tried them all) and am so excited about the new upgrade where the device can be traced over several different wifi providers. Excellent client support also if you need to text or talk to someone. You have earned your five stars and Thank you for this product and all the updates.

Just the motivation I needed!

I got FitBarks for my two German Shorthaired Pointers (high-energy dogs) for Christmas. Throughout this whole pandemic, I’ve been telling myself I could at least go walk or run with the dogs more (I used to do so daily), but I’ve been in a bit of a rut (haven’t we all?) and haven’t mustered much motivation to do it. On my first day of using FitBark, I was standing in the kitchen in slippers and with a big (and early) glass of wine, resigned to be lazy again, when I received a FitBark notification saying, “George completed only 44% of his daily goal by 5:40 pm. Time for a walk?” Getting called out for being a lazy dog-mom was just the motivation I needed! Just like that, I put on sneakers and a reflective jacket and was out the door. I later played chase in the yard with with my dogs at 9 pm to make sure one got in his last 1,000 steps. Highly recommend this product if you have a dog and need a little push to get out more. I’m probably benefitting more from this thing than they are.

The solution I needed & customer support I wanted

I bought this for my 7lb Yorkie that escaped a year ago and so I never allowed unsupervised access to the yard again. But when I started back at the office, I didn’t want to force her to stay inside. After much research I chose this. It’s small enough that the dog tolerates wearing it. And FitBarkGPS mimics my own Fitbit. Side benefit has been I’m getting more exercise as well!

Battery life is incredible! I can get almost a month on one charge, although I charge it more frequently.

The customer service people are top notch. Seriously, I don’t know how they manage to find these patient, understanding, and kind people who have to deal with me obsessively trying to check on my pet! On the rare times I’ve had a glitch, they were immediately helpful. And they don’t bombard your inbox with emails. They give you helpful tips each day for the first week or two so you aren’t overwhelmed. I’m beyond happy that I bought this.

Worth Getting!!!

Looking for a fitness tracker for my dogs and was kind of speckle at first thinking of it’s worth actually buying one and what is a good price for one. After trying to find the right one for my standard poodles, I ended up buying two of the FitBark collars just for activity because I have an Apple Watch so why not make it a family workout all the time. My dogs get walked 3-4 times a day with full playtime at the dog park ever other day, followed by going to daycare once a week to meet new friends. I can honestly say that buying these FitBarks were SO worth it!!!! I’m pretty sure im more excited to have them have one then they are but im sure they will understand and love when they start to realize I’ll be walking them more and getting them out to play more. It’s not about the price of one, it’s really about reading the reviews that people put on a product which is worth reading. So this is a must buy item! FitBarkGPS is amazing to check in and see how your dog or dogs are doing throughout the day, as well as how well they sleep which I always wondered if they slept well at night and they do!

From a vet - Excellent activity monitor for your dog

I’ve used FitBark to monitor my dog’s activity for the past 10 months and have been impressed with its ease of use, reliability and the information it provides. Plus it’s very fun. I’ve had it linked to my own Fitbit and Apple Watch and it syncs well with each. It’s been fun to compete with my dog and friends for steps and FitBark points. On the few occasions when there has been a problem the customer service team has been excellent and very quick with their responses. I’ve recommended Fitbark to several clients for their pets and have found it useful to informally monitor the response to treatment in some of my patients. Pets that feel good are more active and it’s very easy to see their activity using the FitBark monitor.

Love the device.

FitBarkGPS is ok but definitely improving all the time. I LOVE the device. My dog was diagnosed with IBD 2 years ago and it has been a long journey to get her healthy and stable. It has been wonderful being able to check her activity during the times I'm sleeping. Also, getting an idea for her "points" during sleep and when home alone, gave me great insight to just how much anxiety she was having when staying with family. Ive had one issue where the battery life would not sync/show properly in FitBarkGPS but deleting and re installing FitBarkGPS seemed to fix it. I had one day where no activity registered for about half the day but it seemed to return to normal. I'm not sure if that was an error in the device or FitBarkGPS .

Fitbark and GPS

I am happy to rate the Fitbark App with 5 stars.
I originally purchased the Fitbark for my dog to protect him from loss/theft. Although that will always be a concern, I love it for helping us monitor his activity levels throughout the week. I don’t need to wonder if he has had enough exercise…I have data…with goals that I have set and can change as needed. Fitbark will also send gentle reminders if the dog has not come close to their goals.
Finally, I am very impressed with the customer support provided. Technology is not my speciality but the team is available usually within 2-3 minutes. They are also exceedingly patient and very good with follow-up.

A Game Changer for Chronic Illnesses

In Early April of 2022, we got our Fitbark. Miss Molly, an 8 year old Dorkie(Yorkie-Dachshund mix) has had lots of issues with her pancreas and back. The data her Fitbark tracker provides helps not only me, as a dog owner, but helps her vet keep an eye on her activity, sleep and health. In July of 2022, about 3 months into our tracker usage, Molly became lethargic and wasn’t wanting to eat. Her health scores and activity levels showed that very much. I scheduled an appointment, with her vet, and it turns out she had pancreatitis, again, for the 5th time. However, we caught it in the very early stages, and Molly was able to be at home, for her full recovery. The previous times, she would have to be admitted to the hospital, for several days for observation and fluids. Since I knew her normal numbers and percentages, I could tell much sooner that she wasn’t feeling well, and that I needed to get her extra help. Molly is my best friend, my emotional support partner, and helps me get through my long hours of home medical treatments, I have for my own chronic illnesses. I want her to be around, for as long as possible. Fitbark allow myself to do what I need to, so Molly help me through my life problems. I am so glad her pet insurance sent us the information, and that we decided to go ahead with purchasing. Molly and I are a team, and I want it to stay that way for as long as possible. Fitbark is just the tool for that job! Thank you!
