Even with turning off my Apple Watch heart monitor and using simple scorekeeping, I can’t finish a round without the battery running down completely.

Also, you can’t get a monthly subscription or 7 day trial with GolfGPS. The only way I could use GolfGPS on my watch was to buy the $80 premium membership. Vimo Labs will not refund my purchase, and GolfGPS is totally useless to me. They refer me to itunes support and they won’t give me a refund either.

Another negative. You can’t get your 9 hole or total score until you quit the round and look it up as a previous round.

Difficult to select club on watch. My crown rotated too quickly. Probably me. Should pick driver when switching holes. Didn’t always advance to next hole. Putter should be at bottom. Never could enter a penalty stroke without a club ( created 2 strokes). Difficulty editing stroke on phone. Some drag some don’t. Watch often went to time face after stroke. Had to reopen on watch. Requires more focus on app than I liked. But it is ingenious if some of these can be fixed.

I buy GolfGPS and pay the $79 for the premium version. I get to my club and see another course down the street. When I tap on the watch screen it says my course is only available on the premium edition. Go back on your phone and buy it. THATS WHAT I DID YO BEGIN WITH! Great, I don’t care how good GolfGPS is if I can’t use it! Good thing I brought my Garmin! Where do I go to get my refund?

When they said it decreases battery life in the watch; They mean it. I can’t even finish a round without my watch dying. I have to switch to just using my phone and that’s super annoying cause then I have to manually log my swings. Being a premium user it’s a little frustrating because I really do like GolfGPS. The other thing is when I customize my clubs they don’t show up on the watch, only the phone.

Despite many good features, it lacks fundamental functionality so 3 stars. GolfGPS does not have correct scorecards for ladies tees. You can select the forward tees, but the scorecard does not change nor give an option to select the ladies scorecard. My wife was looking for an Apple Watch golf app and is willing to pay for the premium service. Unfortunately GolfGPS doesn’t provide the basics. Still looking for a solution.

GolfGPS was brilliant until the recent update. I already have the premium package (the once off fee), to which I had full functionality of GolfGPS . Now, when I try to access, it doesn’t recognize my membership and requires me to go premium (again? After 2+ years). Also, it doesn’t want to sync with my watch anymore either, which means I can’t open a golf round unless I use my phone, which also has limited functionality now.

I had posted and earlier less enthusiastic review based on difficulty of using the Apple Watch interface. The developers must have been listening, because the latest updates make both the watch and phone interfaces much more reliable and user friendly. The ability to correct lost or missing data is very good.

The swing analysts is a nice addition, but I do wish the instantaneous analysts was saved on the phone for later review.

I have used the regular version app for years now and it has always been reliable. It's a great tool on the course and it's the best range finder available for you iPhone and watch. Love the new pro version.

Very accurate yardage, nice to be able to move your landing zone and plan out your next shot and learn your club distances. Very easy to track score, fairways hit, putts, and automatically tracks GIR. Watch app is the best. A must have app!

Tried for the first time yesterday on my Apple Watch and was almost completely impressed. Worked just as well as my old golf buddy, except on one dogleg where it seemed to want to give me the distance to the hole “as the crow flies” from the tee box instead of the actual distance (including the dogleg). It only happened on the one hole, so I’ll try it out again within the next couple of weeks to see if I have the same issue. Otherwise, no complaints and is a great replacement for the golf buddy!

GolfGPS works very well. Yardage is very accurate and GolfGPS is so simple to navigate on watch or phone. App communicates with apples activity rings and tracks your movement and exercise goals when your waking the golf course.

Use your watch to get yardage to front center and back of the green and leave your phone in your bag, back pocket or golf cart to consult your the map and plot out hazards and distance to carry, lay up or shape a shot to avoid.

Love it better than a Range finder!

TrackMyGolf is a great golf GPS app with many features that golfers would love. Very accurate distances to targets, wonderful flyover feature that lets you see blind shots and hazards, and caddy club recommendations. Even though I have 4 different apps on my iPhone, I always use TrackMyGolf

Works well for me. Using for basic score keeping and distance to the green. Stats look interesting. If comprehensive analytics is what you want, this will do it. It just takes time, and constant attention to your device.

Now you're in the game with the latest update to TrackMyGolf and Apple Watch. Regular versions were slow and hard to read on my watch. Now my phone pretty much stays in my pocket because I can do most everything from my watch. Great update!

Going on my 2nd year with GolfGPS and i can say it is my most trusted golf app. Plenty of features and accurate. I use a gps watch as well and they are within 1-2 yards always. It keeps getting better with every update. If you have not, switch to this pro version.

I've been using TrackMyGolf for a year now and I absolutely love it, now comes the Pro version, I am switching. I've played more golf than I've ever played and now I'm more informed than I've ever been. I make better club decisions and also inform my teammates of tips/tricks. My buddies own the expensive yardage readers .. I'm like yo dude.. let me pull out my watch Boom! There is your yardage. If you play golf. Get GolfGPS!

Very happy with GolfGPS on my Apple Watch 3. Appreciate that I can glance at my Watch and get into the shot without hauling my iPhone around with me. Must especially recognize and commend developer’s professional, prompt assist when I had questions - thorough and fast. I am premium on iOs 12. Looking forward to many more rounds with this great app.

I have been using GolfGPS on my iPhone for years with much love. Now, the pro version on the Apple Watch is terrific. Distance to carry, etc are quickly accessible on the watch. Apple Watch 1 with iOS 3, is fast enough to keep the round moving. No one notices me keeping my score on the watch. If you have any issue, customer service is very responsive. GolfGPS keeps improving and updates keep coming. Great app & company.

Really cool app. Still trying to figure out some of the features. But the gps is spot on and simple. I really like that it stays loaded and is real time
Did have trouble getting account set up and was double charged but that was quickly resolved

I could never get the scores on my watch to sync to the phone. Kept getting an invalid ID error message. FAQ instructions are to delete and reinstall app. But when you do that you lose your scores. Hence, I’ve paid for a lifetime subscription with no retention of my golf scores. Absolutely worthless.
