I love the content but the app has become useless. Like others in this thread, I can't watch for more than a few minutes without being kicked out to the Roku home screen. This has only become an issue over the last couple of months. I didn't even have issues during the first Last Drive-In marathon that famously broke the internet, but now I can't watch anything on Shudder, live or on demand. Worst of all, when it crashes an on-demand movie, it doesn't save your spot so you can't even resume.

Shudder app keeps closing after a minute or two & sending me back to the roku home screen. I've tried multiple times after re-installing app, etc. Can someone please fix this glitch? I really enjoyed Shudder before this and don't really want to cancel my subscription.

Hello, My Shudder keeps crashing. I’ll play a movie and then it will abruptly stop and takes me back to my Roku tv Home Screen. I’ve tried logging out and back in, and I’ve also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the shudder app but none of that has seemed to help. Any chance I could get some assistance on this? Shudder is my favorite movie app so I use it often and would really like to see if there’s anything I can do to fix :) Thanks so much!

Shudder app keeps crashing during movies. Doesn’t always take the same amount of time, but it always happens. I just watched a movie and it happened four time - three of those times within seconds of each other as I continued trying to restart the app. I have an Onn. Roku TV. This does not happen with any other app :(

The shudder channel on my Roku tv keeps cutting out in the middle of watching. Often several times within one movie, shudder just stops, going back to the channel selection (out of the app entirely). It always lets me resume but still a major inconvenience.

Movies continually have errors and drop back to menu. Occurrences fluctuate. Watching on Amazon fire tv. Other streaming apps generally work fine.

How to fix Shudder app crashes or not working on Iphone (iOS):

Close and restart the Shudder app on iPhone
Update Shudder app to the Latest Version for iOS
Uninstall and reinstall Shudder iPhone app
Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version

Fix Shudder on iPhone unable to connect to server/internet connection issues::

To resolve Shudder network issues, Reset phone network settings:
1. On iphone, goto Settings » General » Reset » Reset Network Settings.
2. Enter device passcode » confirm [Reset Network Settings].

Turn off iphone VPN:
1. Goto Settings » General » VPN

Shudder Android App Issues and Solutions

Fix Shudder not working on Android, crashes, errors or is unresponsive:

Force Stop the Shudder App
1. On android, goto Settings » Shudder » click [Force Stop]

Update Shudder to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear Shudder App Cache and Data:
1. On android, goto Settings » Apps » Shudder » Storage » click [Clear Data] option. This clears both data and cache.
2. restart Shudder.

Fix Shudder unable to contact server/ Shudder internet connection errors on Android:

On android, goto Settings » Apps or Manage Apps tab.
Click Shudder » [Force Stop]
Next, goto Storage » click [Clear Data]
Again, goto Shudder » Mobile Data » [Allow Background Data Usage].
Go back to Settings » Connections » Mobile Network » Network Mode. Change the network to 4G e.g. LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
Relaunch Shudder
