WeRescue – Adopt a Pet Reviews

I can’t stand apps with condescending or manipulative content. Fortunately, if you like either, you don’t even need to sign in to get both!
On the front page, there’s an option to create an account or “skip.” “Skip” simply opens a pop-up with an explanation of why it’s “important to sign in” to “save your data from being lost.” Thanks, I learned that when I lost my first important essay in grade school to our malfunctioning computer. I think everyone using a computer knows it’s important to save. But I save things that are important to me. WeRescue is just not important to me, because there are so many others like it.
I think my data is important to the developer, and it’s definitely important to adopt, not shop. I’ll just be using a different app for it, because I don’t want some developers with a freshman year’s grasp of manipulation tactics to have it.

I was hesitant to spend the money to block breeds I wasn’t intentionally searching. My breed search was retrieving many additional results with similar breed names. I contacted WeRescue creator and he responded immediately to assure me that if I was unhappy with my in-app purchases (for better filtered searches) then my money would be instantly refunded. Because of this I paid to focus my search and it’s working brilliantly. Such a great app! Can’t wait to find the right little buddy to rescue.

So far I love WeRescue (we are searching for our first puppy or young dog after the holidays).
I’ve noticed that when I do a search, I get a listing of dogs in the order of distance. Great. But then when I scroll downward I noticed that the list of available dogs is repeated 3 times. Not a big deal but I wanted you to be aware. So if I’m searching within a 100 mile range of home, I’ll get to the last dog at 84 miles out, and then I see the first dog that appeared at the top of the list (2 miles from home). Then I scroll through that list again and it repeats for a 3rd time showing me the first dog that’s 2 miles away.

I’m on iPhone 8 Plus, fully updated at iOS v12.1.2 (I also noticed it was happening with v12.1.1).

I’m on a serious hunt to rescue a dog or two after our two recently passed. I used WeRescue to find dogs, sent e-mails, & of the 10 I sent, I’ve heard back from 2. One did a home check & I still haven’t heard back other than our home checked out ok. The other, I have an appointment in mid September. They couldn’t get me in before then. I know there are a ton of dogs on the street, but after going through this process, I can see why people go through breeders & people selling. I won’t do that & will continue to be patient & find other avenues. WeRescue works great though, just wish people would respond when I contact & submit an application.

I am very impressed with the work you do!! I have always had 2 dogs with me. My black Labrador (Samantha ) dyed 2 years ago. I still have Jack my Jack Russell for almost 10 years now and we are so broken hearted over Sam!! Jack was a rescue dog! I just found out he has Cushing syndrome. I am older but another dog would give me pep and I have a lot of love to give!! I love dogs and they love me!! I like big dogs! Although I love my Jack with all of my heart. I am looking to save a life!!! God Bless all of you all!!

Me and my family have been trying to find puppy’s on all different apps, but none of them were quick responses. We decided to get a different app (this one) and it was the best decision of our life. We put an application in and minutes later we got an email saying we were pre approved and would have to wait till the morning. We have the most amazing dog now 💕

Turkey an amazing app! Lots of animals and an alarming amount of accuracy! ❤️ There have been 1 or 2 problems, but they always are fixed ASAP with AMAZING customer service, always reeling within a couple of hours 😍 I would highly recommend WeRescue, if your looking to rescue, or just look at cute animals this is the best app for it! Which is also completely free 😱

I love WeRescue! It’s very easy to use and I was able to find a furry friend to adopt. The information is updated frequently which is very useful. The only improvement I would suggest is making photo navigation simpler I wasn’t a huge fan on the pan image option. Other than that I’m very happy to have found WeRescue. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to adopt a pet.

Found our dog on this last year. Downloaded it again to get a playmate. You cannot share animals you find anymore. Also the clear the shelter feature is broken. If you choose not to share your location but instead manually enter your zip. Clicking search does nothing but give a pop up giving you a short info promo on what the program is. Searching for breeds is a pain. No longer can you enter the name manually. You must scroll a list of 500 breeds to find what you want.

WeRescue has great search options and is very easy to use. It has never crashed or hung on my iPhone 7 Plus. My only complaint is the round pictures in the search results list. Many of the pictures are hard to see because ears or noses are lopped off by the circle formatting. Please change them to squares!

WeRescue was straightforward and easy to use.. which was helpful in finding the perfect animal to adopt. The only criticism I have is that I wish the picture frame wouldn’t be a slideshow.. I rather it just allow us as the user to flip through.

I’ve been looking to adopt the first couple of days searching on here has been fine. I love the option they have where you can find tons of details of the animals and a written description but I absolutely hate that WeRescue has been quitting on me a lot today. Just when I was finding a dog that I was interested in it quits and I would have to search all over again. I hope that bug gets fixed soon very frustrating.

Hello! Really like WeRescue but I must be missing how I would share one of these adoptable animals with anybody else? I don’t see a button where I can send all the details of a specific animal to others. I try to send folks to WeRescue store to download WeRescue and then look for the dog, but it would be great if it were more simple. Thanks!

Finding our new little fur baby was super easy, and now we have a wonderful little addition to the family. Couldn’t ask for a better pet or service that allowed us to find him. Thank you guys so much!

I used to love using WeRescue and I thought it was very easy to use. However, the update cleared my profile so I lost all of my profile information and all of the dogs I had put a heart on. I am also having trouble using the filter option. I have tried to use a filter for a certain breed, but it doesn’t seem to work anymore. Now I have to scroll through ALL dogs rather than selecting certain breeds.

for some reason WeRescue logged me out so I tried to log back in but it kept saying that it was incorrect but I use the same password for everything so I’m not sure why it isn’t working, then when I clicked forgot password nothing happened so now I can’t get back into my account because it won’t let me reset my password

Every time I try to sign up it says that email is already in use, even emails I JUST created, and I’ve never signed up for WeRescue before. Then when I try to sign in with said email that’s already used it says the pass is incorrect and gives me no option to reset a password anywhere. Then, when I click the X at the top to close out of the sign up window and click maybe later, the window doesn’t go away.

WeRescue was going great and I was throughly enjoying using it. However recently every time I bring it up now it says my active filters and yielding no results and I refreshed it over and over and it doesn’t change anything. Every time I hit the cancel button it keeps popping up.

I love how user friendly it is- loads quickly too. It would be so great if you could add “bonded pair” in the header so you know up front if the dogs are a pair. Also I don’t see a category in the description for “gets along with cats”.

WeRescue is easy to use and is serving a wonderful purpose! I can’t tell you how much I love being able to easily look through all these beautiful animals and learn about them. I wish I could adopt them all!

After applying to adopt I was told we could not have the dog. Either too far away, or already adopted, or didn’t respond to me at all!! Then, you later come back and list the dog on “dog available” list again. Lets get it together, or discontinue your service. This does not get dogs into good homes! After completing over 25 failed applications, I have now placed an order with a breeder for a future puppy!! Please remove my name from your correspondence list!!

Bless WeRescue 😍 I found my best friend on here. I highly recommend RappCats, their location is so clean and they truly take care of all their babies. I am so excited to get to bring my baby home soon.

I don’t have a preference it just has to be hypoallergenic for a person in my family and they have so many great choices. 😀🤩🐶🐩🐕

I love WeRescue so much! It shows you where they are located and if they need a fence with a description and so much more thank you so much we rescue I will definitely adopt an animal from WeRescue
