I guess I’m going to be one of the MANY that has issues with AlabamaPower. I cannot even login with my credentials yet I can sit in front of the computer and login with the same credentials.
Someone else mentioned it being just as bad as the website. I Wholeheartedly agree the website is crap also. Every time you login to pay a bill, you have to put in your account number, credit card information, etc. I think whoever built their website also slapped together AlabamaPower just to give it the Alabama power name.

I log in to my account, it gives me all of my information and even a pdf file of my bill. The problem I have, when I click the “pay my bill” link, it asks me for all of my information, acct number and amount to be paid. Seems as if that information would be readily available, once I logged in my account. Also, you click payment type, and then get in to the payment information, it asks again, payment type. AlabamaPower doesn’t nothing to help or speed up my process for paying my bill. The website is just as bad, all terrible.

I don’t know what this was an improvement of, but frankly it must have been really bad for this to be considered an “improvement”. It literally is just the website. Except it’s actually worse since it won’t let me paste in any information into the password field. It’s almost as if the group that made this “app” published this so that they could say that they had done so, and not because they actually did any work on this or cared about it beyond the bare minimum. Really pathetic.

AlabamaPower is basically a mirror for the website. I tried to transfer service several times and get an error message of “unexpected error occurred. Please try again later.” Well I did several times until they closed my account when we moved. So now I’m trying to set up new service. Same error message. Of course you can’t get anyone on the phone. Don’t have to be good when you’re the only game in town. Trash.

AlabamaPower is supposed to make paying your bill easier but this does the complete opposite. I have to get out of AlabamaPower and get back in several times before my information even loads. There’s no Face ID so I have to enter my password every single time. I haven’t tried to make a payment but judging by the other reviews, that’s going to be a nightmare. Plus you have to pay a fee to make a payment. This is definitely not worth your time.

Seriously, if you’re going to overcharge us for power you could at least make an app that works and makes it easier for us to pay! It won’t even load, the blue loading bar fills up at the top of the screen and then I’m stuck staring at a white screen that says Alabama Power on the bar at the bottom and that’s it… just wow! Guess I shouldn’t expect much more than mediocre out of A Southern Company. And yes “AlabamaPower iS uP tO DaTe”

It’s quick and easy to navigate around, it saves my bank account info so I don’t have to re enter it every time I want to make a payment. Don’t see why there’s so many negative reviews.

Why do y’all even offer AlabamaPower. It is totally useless. A company as big as Alabama Power should be ashamed to own such a unprofessional app. You shouldn’t have to remember your account number every time, it never remembers method of payment and never allows me to set up checking account therefore I have to pay the retarded $2.25 inconvenience fee. Would someone at Alabama Power please take time and make AlabamaPower useable like everyone else in the world does.

Super easy to use. All my information is there. Took me two minutes or less to pay my bill. AlabamaPower should have a higher rating by now.

App does not make paying your bill any quicker than having to log in on the computer. I still had to enter all my billing and payment information, even though AlabamaPower already had my acct #. It gives you a view if your bill, and if you pay online you already get that in an email! Apps are created to make thing easier, AlabamaPower isn’t worth it!!

AlabamaPower is nothing more than a copy/paste of their mobile website, except with AlabamaPower , you’re much more likely to get repeated Session Timeout errors despite doing everything in a minute or less per page of info. I have no idea why this only happens in AlabamaPower , but it makes paying bills nearly impossible. I’d recommend just bookmarking their website in your browser.

As much money as Alabama Power rings in, they could at least spend a little of it on some quality for their app. If you’re using this to pay your bill, be sure to have the account number memorized even after you’ve logged in along with the exact amount. This also does not save cards so you have to key your information in every time.

Now with the Gulf Power app I have no idea how to get into my account and it says it doesn’t even recognize my account numbers. How can you possible have screwed up the original app this much. To pay my bills on 2 accounts, I now have to use 2 separate user ids and 2 separate passwords because it won’t let me add an acount.

Horrible app. Can't go back, have to write down numbers so you don't forget because AlabamaPower doesn't populate your acct information on subsequent pages. Needs a straightforward log in. And in typical Alabama Power fashion, you're penalized for using the service. Should not have to pay a fee to pay a bill.

AlabamaPower is worthless. Can’t view my bill. Tried deleting AlabamaPower and reloading. Made no difference. Had to switch back to receiving a paper bill so that I can see it. People are being paid to create and maintain AlabamaPower. More people being paid to not do their job.

No problems, gave me a convenient way to view and pay my bill.

AlabamaPower worked when I first got it, but within a month it stopped. I can’t even log in to my account anymore. It says the password is wrong but when I go on the website and use it, it works. AlabamaPower is broken. 0/5 stars

AlabamaPower and web page keep saying my session timed out when attempting to make a payment. They shouldn’t take away or restrict the convenience of person to person interaction, for the so called “convenience” of not having to go pay in person. It’s not convenient, and they don’t work.

I'm able to log in and access a variety of information, such as FAQs as well as the option ”Pay Now” which is helpful. The problem I've been having, every time I log in I can't recall a single time in the past when it actually loaded my ”Bill Overview”.

Had difficulty opening app : deleted and reinstall but was unsuccessful getting app to install or load (from cloud) resorted to using a web browser and finally able to access web site and paid bill

Copy/Paste does not work, specifically for the password field.

“Remember Me” does not work, as I am prompted to log in after closing AlabamaPower .

What happened here? Why make an app at all if you can’t even get the basic features working?

I have been trying to log in and check my bill for over a week and it will not load. I’ve tried the website and I’ve tried AlabamaPower with no success.
