🏷️ About: This is the Department of Home Affairs Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS) mobile application (the app). The app will allow you to enter the information that is required to lodge a TRS claim.
TouristRefundScheme works fine, however when you get to the airport there is no separate line for app users. You have to stand and wait in the long, annoying line that everyone else who didn’t used TouristRefundScheme had to use. Waste of time.
There are soooo many loopholes you have to jump through. It’s better not to waste your time because they’ll do anything to not give you your money back. A literal “scheme.”
It does not let me enter the value for the items. It keeps giving errors.
There is no ‘fast line’ for taking the trouble to use TouristRefundScheme so you are wasting your time at Sydney. Just leave an hour and get in the line.
This version is not compatible with the latest iOS version.

Wasn’t accepted in Sydney. You can spend all the time you’d like to enter in your receipts here one by one ahead of time and obtain a QR code, only to told upon arriving at TRS that it won’t be accepted and you’ll just end up filling out manual paper forms.

Managed to fill in my details pretty easily. No crashes. Not great experience but it works.
App worked perfectly. My refund took <1min for the staff at the airport to process since used TouristRefundScheme beforehand!

Whatever bugs there were, there aren’t anymore. I’m from the states and I downloaded this yesterday and used today. Super user friendly and self explanatory. I had no problem pulling up my QR code for the TRS agent at the airport.
