Best PTCG app out there!

I’ve been using Collector for a while now. I have tried others in the past, but this one is far superior. They’ve recently been very good with keeping up to date on new expansions too. If you’ve ever had a hard time finding comprehensive set lists for all of the Pokémon expansions, look no further. Every single set in existence from base to swsh, including pop series and McDonald’s promos, you name it. And to top it all off, it’s free! There’s a paid version which, frankly, I forgot about because they don’t push it on you like a lot of other free apps, and they don’t force adds on you either. I’m definitely going to upgrade to the paid version to support the team that brought us this. It is so easy to search for a set and look at all the cards and their rarity and number and whatever other piece of info you need. There’s a wishlist for any cards you want and set lists for cards you have. There are even more options that I haven’t gotten around to exploring yet too. I’m constantly recommending Collector to people in the community and you should get it too.

Great info, but terrible bugs makes it hard to actually use

I love Collector for keeping track of my collection, and it’s certainly worlds better than the official Pokémon company app. Great database of all available cards. However, major bugs/issues brings it down from a 5 star to barely a 3.

The UI is definitely not user friendly, even counterintuitive in places. An example of a necessary fix is making it easier to remove cards from your collection. Also, for whatever reason, adding cards to your collection doesn’t always save - I’ll add a few cards, and get the pop up that they’ve “been added to your collection”, then later I’ll look them up and they won’t be there. This is the worst problem: very frustrating to spend hours inputting cards, and the next day, they’re gone.

All in all, well worth the small purchase amount if you want to start to keep track of your collection. Great work by the developers getting started. However, needs several improvements before being a 5 star app...notably, adding cards to your collection not saving.

Decent app

It’s a pretty good app (one of the best out there) with awesome features, but it’s also pretty glitchy. I currently can’t log into my account because I tried to log in on another device and it logged me out of my original device and wouldn’t let me log in on either.

Basically if you’re looking for an app to track your collection, this is it. It has every not brand new set (including trainer sets) and has great features to view info about your collection.

What it CAN’T do is sync your collection to multiple devices (it appears), remove all the cards you have from a set in one click (you have to go card by card), and provide accurate pricing info on cards (it mainly used TCG player which sells a lot of HP or damaged cards)

A Genuinely Good App

To start, Collector is free to use, so that’s immediately a plus. It’s also one of those free to use apps that doesn’t destroy your phone with Ads, which speaks volumes to the determination of Collector creators. There is a paid addition to Collector that adds some extra features, and it isn’t a ridiculous amount, so on the consumer end, it’s an easy choice to go for Collector over other card tracking apps.

I’ve been using Collector since the Sun and Moon Celestial Storm expansion, and overall I’ve enjoyed it. There isn’t a lot to say other than it’s a really good app.

At the current time of posting this, Sun and Moon Cosmic Eclipse is a few days away, and the only complaint I can possibly make about Collector at the current version is that the Deck Creator feature can be a little glitchy, while it does work, trying to remove cards from a deck usually doesn’t work.

Amazing app, just needs one more thing to make it better

I absolutely love Collector and the UI it houses. Makes it very easy with finding the cards for the various sets in the database to place in my collection. The only key improvement I hope to see focused on in the future is the deck builder section. As of now, you can only buy or by looking at all of the cards in the database. I want to be able to also build a deck by looking exclusively at the cards already owned/in my collection. I notice tabs appear for “owned” when deck building but when you click it, it’s blank. Perhaps it’s a glitch? Perhaps it’s being worked on? Either way I love Collector but that particular detail is what I wish to see fixed hopefully very soon. Would make deck building all the more easier by being able to build from the cards I placed in my collection.

Works as advertised

Pretty easy to use. Helps keep track of cards, decks, wishlists etc.. Card scans look great, esp when in zoom mode on a large screen. No major complaints. However, app update info says their is prerelease content (UP) loaded but as of right now that is not available. Hopefully, it will be available by the 2/2 release date. Also, current eBay/Amazon/Center prices for a card often do not load,

Wishlist- app could give collection value based on the eBay/Amazon/Center prices. Also, that app could be used to compare two collections and generate a list of cards in one collection that were not in the other collection- could make trading easier, as well as just show how much “better” or “worse” one collection was compared to the other.

Great Potential

The UX is visually on point but what’s missing is Collector responsiveness and reactivity. “Button” presses, highlights and general fixes to make Collector experience smoother would make this a 5 star app. It also took me forever to figure out how to remove a count from a card once I added it. FOR OTHERS: tap the unlock button on the list or grid view and then a “+” or “-“ sign will appear allowing you to change the tally.

It does exactly as advertised and it’s a great way to track your growing collection and set completion progress! It would be nice an option to download all the high res images so you can keep from using data while viewing any cards on the go. Love Collector and hopeful for more quality of life fixes coming soon. Keep it up 96

A few slight changes to be made

I would like it if the pictures were different between the base first edition and non-1st addition shadowless and also the shadow cards. They all use the same stock photo and that could be a little confusing to some. I would also like if it had the ability to add cards like the jungle error missing symbol cards and other cards of that nature like the dark dragon the hollow error form team rocket set. Also I can’t correctly organize 1st edition machamp as there is only 1st edition shadowless and 1st edition shadow, kind of a weird card honestly but better organization is always nice. Otherwise thank you for the wonderful app!

Love this app!!! Keep it going please!

Simply put. I love Collector! I’ve got my entire collection up and logged in Collector. Took a long time and it’s still ongoing but Collector is very important to my collection now!

Yes there can be some slight UI issues and a bug here or there, but for an indie dev job it is still fantastic.

The ONLY thing that is a gripe for me is the fact that new sets are added sooo slowly. Please please please add the newer sets faster so I can catalog and save those collections as well in my favorite this app app. Right now they are literally saved on paper waiting to be transferred over into Collector. :)))

Key Features

I’m hoping the developers will see this. I love almost everything about Collector, especially when compared to other apps on the market. But a couple things that are bumming me out.
One: the ability to remove things from your collection? All it takes is one wrong button push, and now I can’t take away specific cards from my collection. At least not that I’m able to tell easily.
Two: I can’t actually SEE the cards in my collection. It’ll tell me the number of cards I have from each set, but not actually show me the individual cards.

Collector would basically be perfect if those two small things were changed.

Frustrating UI issues, and does NOT support non-English cards

This is definitely the best app for managing your Pokémon cards, but I find it infuriating how unresponsive buttons or Collector can be. When you have thousands of cards, having to restart Collector constantly or try to figure out which buttons actually responded correctly is a nightmare.

Additionally, I did not know before purchase that it does not include non-English sets. I have several Japanese exclusive cards, and it was very disappointing to find out I couldn’t include them in my collection, even though many of them are not particularly valuable nor difficult to find. It was pretty disappointing as I hunted for a few of them, only to realize it later.

Better than Nintendo’s app

There’s regular updates, and I’ve even reported a missing card and they listened and added it in the next update which I appreciate so much.

Animations aren’t that appealing (as of right now) and ui is slightly hard to navigate at the start, but this is by far the best way to keep track of your cards that on Collector Store.

I think in the future if Collector continues to catalog more Pokémon merch, like they have with pins, then this would definitely be worth paying for or possibly even paying for a subscription, I’m hoping the next thing they add is coins

Good app but wasn’t able to log back in

I’ll start off with the only positive is Collector is good, for what that’s worth. But I deleted it off my phone because the newest expansion, being Unbroken Bonds, wasn’t added until 6 days ago when the expansion was released quite a bit before then. So I thought it was a dead app that would no longer be updated. So I deleted it. I had a paid version of it too. So out of curiosity I checked today to see if it was updated by chance. It was. I redownloaded it and tried to log in. I needed a password key. I searched my email. No where to be found. So I was out of luck. Can’t use the account that I spent LITERAL DAYS logging my cards in. I’m highly disappointed in Collector and it’s ridiculous you have to pay to log different types of collectibles (such as coins). Everyone beware.

Almost perfect

Ok so I love almost everything about Collector — except one really annoying thing. the lock icon at the top is too small for tapping— and so often my finger will be *just* slightly off and instead of changing the lock, it’ll shoot me all the way to the top of the list and I’ll have to scroll all the way back down. It is infuriating while I’m cataloguing. an undo and redo button would also be really nice because sometimes I’m not sure if I tapped something on accident or not. Otherwise it’s great, easy to use and really helpful

Great app, but I can’t log back into my account :(

I’d give Collector a full five stars as I’ve been using it for a while to log my collection so I can remove duplicates from my new cards before I put them into my huge binders. However, when I switched over to a new iPad I couldn’t log back into my account. I have no idea what my password key is, how to find it, or even what I set for it if I did. I’ve tried every possible password for it and a few things that I thought could be my key, yet no avail. I’d rather not make a new account since it’d be probably another day of going through my entire collection. I’m also not the most creative when it comes to usernames. Oh well.

Great Potential

Finally an app that lets you check off reverse and regular cards in the Pokémon sets. Most only offer a single list. Collector still has a few bugs to work out but it has great potential. I haven’t figured out how to uncheck a card that I mistakenly checked. It doesn’t respond to clicking it again, it only says I’ve already added that card to my collection. It could be smoother when switching menu screens as well. Overall I really like Collector and I hope it only keeps improving.

By

Really Solid

Collector is without a doubt the best way to check out Pokémon cards on your phone. While a little awkward at times, even the free version allows you to conveniently see just about every card ever created, even from the obscure collections that nobody cares about. On top of that, for just one dollar, you are able to physically keep track of which specific cards are in your collection. It’s all very well done.

Great app! Very detailed database!

I’ve had Collector for about 3 years now and am a paid member. The developers recently updated Collector (that’s why I’m updating my review) and they’ve fixed basically all the bugs from the previous version. Collector has a very extensive database that outshines the other apps. Would recommend getting the paid version because the collection tracker is so useful! Would recommend 10/10

Got Me Back Into Collecting!

After the hype around the Hidden Fates set and being unable to buy any products without paying at least 130% the price, I started purchasing eBay lots again. Collector helped me categorize everything easily and catch up on all the sets I missed out on these past few years. I purchased the full version, and I like to browse all the sets to consider which ones I’d like to complete. I’d recommend it to all collectors, starting or seasoned.

Broken Wishlist

Initially Collector looked great and worked well. I wanted to be able to track what I have and a wishlist. Unfortunately, after spending hours loading in the cards I have and want, Collector statistics for my collection seem to be off, and the wishlist is busted. When I try to view my wishlist I’m unable to scroll at all. This means I essentially can’t use my wishlist. I’ve tried to contact support but their site is just a white page with some text reading that they are under maintenance. Well every time I check over the past 3 months + they are under maintenance. Such a shame, it was really useful until it broke.

Good app if you want to easily keep track of your collection and wishlist

Very easy to use. It’s the easiest way to keep track of collection, wishlists, etc. I enjoy the section where it shows you how complete your collection is. However, that screen is very hard to click on your collections and doesn’t always respond.

I wish Collector was synced with TCGPlayer with card prices. Many card collectors purchase cards via TCGPlayer and not eBay/Amazon.

Useful for card collectors, but...

It's pretty simple and fairly easy to use, but it can be slow when swiping through list and cards. A lot of the 'buttons' and letters in Collector , are too small and makes it a bit of a hassle. I’ve noticed a couple of bugs in it. One being that sometimes it will ‘count’ a card as part of your collection even if you’ve never tapped on it. Another bug is where it doesn’t save the cards you’ve added to your collection so you have to go through the deck list again.

By

clunky UI

Collector has a lot of potential, but a ways to go. I went ahead and purchased it to support the effort, but won't be able to use it until they add the ability to edit a collection. Right now, you can not delete cards from your collection. So cards you sell/trade/burn/accidentally add are there FOREVER. Also the UI is clunky, with giant fonts and buttons and everything changes the whole screen with every menu choice. Keep up the great work! I look forward to future improvements.
