Bulbapedia used to save where you left off, and no longer does so. It does not include updates for new Pokémon on Legends Arceus, even though the site itself has said updates. They still haven’t made it possible to zoom when using Bulbapedia . The search function now works worse, giving absolutely no suggestions or anything of the sort until you have typed the entire word, killing the whole point of having suggestions. If Serebii ever gets an app, I’m switching to that because it seems that they largely have themselves in order.

Bulbapedia used to work wonderfully and could even be used offline. Something changed and now I can't even get anything to load online or offline. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times. After waiting patiently and seeing others have report this issue I cannot recommend Bulbapedia to anyone. Their website is littered with ads and this was my go to since I paid to get rid of ads. If this issue gets resolved I'd happily rate it 5 stars however at this moment just avoid Bulbapedia till then.

So I got the new games and I was excited to research the new Pokémon and region. And it won’t appear in searches When I was looking for Dudunsparce, it said on Dunsparce’s page on Bulbapedia that it doesn’t evolve So I go to the website and the website is up to date with gen 9 stuff. It is Bulbapedia using old backed up pages from before gen 9 came out. Can you please fix it? I like Bulbapedia better than the website

Please bring the Appendix walkthroughs back into Bulbapedia . Over the years, my main source for walkthroughs has always been Bulba. When I first realized there was an app, I immediately upgraded to the paid version so I could have a clean, ad-free reference to look at during my play throughs.
I curated a full favorited list as well where I bookmarked all of the “Appendix:” walkthroughs. But my bookmarks also seem to have disappeared during the redesign. I’d rather not have to access the Appendices through mobile Chrome, it’s a much more clunky experience. Bring the walkthroughs back to Bulbapedia so we can continue using Bulba as a valuable source for many more years to come.

I like the updated search and new streamlined approach. However, I use this app a lot for the walkthroughs and it seems impossible to access the walkthroughs via Bulbapedia . I find them easily on the web but searching for them on Bulbapedia turns up nothing. This needs to be fixed asap or I will have to find another walkthrough service as I assume others will as well.

It’s late November and we still haven’t got the Legends Arecus dex and no sign of Scarlet or Violet anywhere.
I know there’s the web site that’s actually updated. But when I pay a good amount for offline usability, I would expect Pokémon from over 6 months ago to be on it. Especially when the description makes it sound like it will be constantly updated.

The content is extremely outdated, as for some reason it seems to include an archive rather than the live web version of this app. The search function is also lacking, as you seem to need to almost fully type out a Pokémon’s name in order for it to be recommended.
I’d love to see a feature to collapse sections across pages (e.g. set “In the Anime” to be collapsed for every article), but I don’t know how feasible that would be to implement.

Having the wealth of knowledge in easy reach is nice, but that’s only if the wealth of knowledge is current. At the time of writing, Bulbapedia hasn’t been updated in 11 months. It contains nothing from Legends Arceus or Scarlet/Violet, although the actual site does. It’s not a this app problem, it’s an app problem. Considering new games is what many people would turn to Bulbapedia for, I can’t say it is useful any more.

While the update to Bulbapedia is nice and compact to be more mobile-friendly. I miss the Read More feature from the old version where I could move on from one article to a related one, similar to Wikipedia’s application. And I also have the same critique about the search function as many others stated already, where Cosplay Pikachu and Pikachu (TCG) will show up instead of Pikachu’s main page. And also any word on when some of the latest articles will be updated? Sometimes I find myself having to go to the browser if I need any info on one of the latest anime episodes since for some reason they’re not updated on Bulbapedia . And lastly, I have one request, and that is to see if it’s possible to add a dark mode to Bulbapedia sometime in the future.

When the I.T. Department starts writing cool interfaces, just because they can, with complete disregard for user experience, it's time to start firing misguided employees.
Before retiring, I was .IT Manager for a large software firm. Form was top on our list, and function was mission critical, but at the end of the day, if we failed at excellent user experience, we delivered junk.

Bulbapedia is no longer current with the info on the this app website. All of the new information that’s been added to the website since Legends Arceus released doesn’t show up on Bulbapedia . Please fix. Real-time updates with the website is the most important aspect of Bulbapedia.

Not sure how this is still an issue but it still is after the most recent update. I should not have to type out a full pokemons name to find their info for the video games. It was never a requirement in the past and the fact that it is now is irritating when it isn’t necessary. Also we should be allowed to pick if the entire database is downloaded or not as Bulbapedia now takes up a bunch of space I ant afford it to use.

I'm a long-time fan of this app and use it over other wiki pages for Pokémon, specifically due to its great layout and the vast amount of information and details for each entry. This has been super helpful for folks like me who play the main "core games" and constantly are looking up info! The mobile app is okay, but could be better. As others have stated, the search engine could be improved. I think that it could be "smarter". For example, typing in "Explou" gives no results, so you have to type in "Exploud" to get its page. Sometimes, I can't remember the spelling fully, so if the engine could give suggestions (prioritizing Pokémon pages first over anime episodes), that would improve the experience so much. I also really wish I had the ability to link my Pro version of Bulbapedia to the web version. Integration between the two would be amazing. Either way, thanks for all you guys do and I look forward to updates and QOL improvements!

It’s nice that Bulbapedia is getting improved after all these years but there are still a lot of issues. The search feature is very unintuitive and you have to type in the full word to have the page you want pop up as an option. This is especially troublesome since many Pokemon do not have easy-to-spell names. The layout of the pages is also a bit odd, and some tables like the stats table are spaced weirdly and are uneven. Lastly, there is mention of a pro version for offline viewing, which would be awesome, but I fail to see any option anywhere within Bulbapedia to purchase this upgrade. These problems are unfortunate, since this app is hands-down my favorite Pokemon wiki. If the pro version ever becomes evident in Bulbapedia , and the interface problems are fixed, I would gladly purchase it as a show of support for the devs who maintain this excellent wiki. Sadly Bulbapedia version is just not in a great spot… yet.

I’ve always been a fan of this app , on the website where the ads are to the side and don’t interrupt you it’s fine and I don’t mind looking at them to support the creator, but on Bulbapedia it shuts you down and forces you to watch an entire ad before you can continue to do anything and they are long ads , you can’t just get in real quick to do a couple quick searches , or you’ll end up with 2 minutes of ads
by MoriyaFaith
Bulbapedia is mostly great, but the search function is broken. Most of the time, it only will pull up results with an EXAXT match (ie. Technician’s page only shows up when you type in the full name) which can make finding some things rather hard if you don’t remember the exact spelling. Also, my review text is in complete white and I can’t see what i’m typing.

I am a regular user of Bulbapedia and the most important difference between Bulbapedia and the website is the ability to quickly navigate through articles. Often I reference a Pokémon during battle. Having the section navigator at the bottom of the page as opposed to the left side makes it more difficult to scroll through then it used to be. In addition they removed the search within page feature so you can’t quickly jump to key words. Overall I don’t understand the changes made with the upgrade. Everything seems to be more difficult to navigate without any noticeable added benefits. Sadly all my bookmarked pages were deleted too. Major bummer.

I have to agree with everyone in regards to the search feature, not being able to have any recommendations on what you’re searching is annoying.
My main issue is that the ads will pop up out of no where and if you try to select the premium edition to get rid of ads the button for it does not work. So you’re forced to randomly switch to whatever search engine you use with a “you’ve won a free iPad” scam ad. I just wanna be able to search without constantly having to switch every 2 seconds.
I love all the information this app gives you in regards to all the Pokémon with continuous updates through the generations. I just wanna scroll without ads!!!

I bought this and the in app purchase for no ads, because bulba is my go to for accessing Pokédex info and walkthroughs.
I was surprised to see no walkthroughs and Legends Dex is just missing, last update was 5 months ago.
Pretty disappointed. Three stars for being a decent Pokédex app, lost two due to lack of updates and missing an entire game from the library available.
Somehow managed to get Pokémon cards of every type for each Pokémon but not a single thing about Hisui except for three announced Pokémon from before it came out.

I just updated Bulbapedia . I just started playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus and I tried to search for Rowlet on this app app and it is not pulling up any Pokémon. It somehow turned into an article finder for random things about Pokémon. I may as well just use Google now. Bulbapedia is not working. I’ve used it for like 10 years so…
by Satan4Lyfe666
The latest update did improve the searching but it doesn’t have any sort of auto fill, so if you’re looking for a specific Pokémon you have to put in the entire name of that Pokémon or item. Basically if you don’t know how to perfectly spell what you’re looking for good luck finding it.
by Trichanis
I’ve been using this as my go to for looking up information about specific Pokémon for a very long time now, but I’m starting to get a bit frustrated with how often Bulbapedia crashes. It’s also very disheartening that there is still next to no information about Legends Arceus Pokémon in Bulbapedia . Please don’t abandon Bulbapedia! It’s such a huge help to have all this Pokémon knowledge on the phone ready at any time.
by Cpatti16
Bulbapedia is a great resource, but it is way behind the web’s this app. App Devs can you fix this ASAP. Like bug fixes are nice, but it doesn’t help when your app is behind the website. But otherwise a useful tool for all your Pokémon needs.
by Z Sleepy
I love Bulbapedia, I even use it over serebii, however, the last update broke Bulbapedia . You’re no longer able to search for the newest generation of Pokémon, when searching under the complete list, the final Pokémon number is 898 Calyrex. The newest gen doesn’t pop
Up at all, but on my older version it did. Hope
To see a fix in the future! I really do love Bulbapedia
by Lazors70
App works great, displays information well. Search needs a better auto fill / prediction, if you search “gurdur” you get 0 results because it wants the full “gurdurr”. Instead of 0 results, maybe show most relevant results?
Thanks for the great app!
by DeferredThree
The regional forms for the legends game are now showing up, I like Bulbapedia but you need to update it a little more frequently, that’s all I’m saying. If you don’t people won’t be able to learn about them more on Bulbapedia .
by Sushistorm
I love Bulbapedia. When I found out the website had an actual app I didn’t hesitate to get it. All my Pokémon information with easy access? Bet. But I can’t say the same for my computer. It’s a chrome book, so there’s no app, which make my life harder. It also seems that if you go into a different tab a ton of apps appear. Also some of the ads are inappropriate, so I’m constantly looking behind my shoulder to make sure my little brothers don’t see something they shouldn’t be.
by Sonra The Hedgehog
The Pokédex on the mobile app needs to be updated with all the new Pokémon we’ve seen from Pokémon legends Arceus and the first bit of info of Pokémon scarlet and violet since it’s coming out in 3 months can you get this done as soon as possible
by Saint Roscoe
I left a review a while back and in my attempt to edit it to reflect the change, I accidentally deleted it. I wanted to come back and say that it has improved since that time (Jan-Feb ‘22). There were search issues that made it tough to navigate, but the developer responded quickly to those complaints and the search is much better. The only thing I would request is that in the menu on a page (where you can see all of the other articles on the page, such as base stats, trivia, origin, etc.) it would be nice if it started with collapsed headers so it is simpler to navigate. Besides that, great work responding to the issues!

I have been trying to use Bulbapedia for a month and it still isn’t working. The search won’t work nothing appears. It was AMAZING before
