I’ve had two of the cameras for a few months now and I really wanted to like the setup with SpotCam . After updates and even contacting support at one point, I can’t really say that I recommend these products. SpotCam is plagued with crashes, freezes, and stuck just trying to load when trying to replay a recorded event. It’s actually kind of frustrating. I’m going to be looking around for a new setup and ditching these soon. Before anyone wonders, it’s not the internet at the location of these either. That was the first thing I checked from top to bottom.

I bought their this app Ring 2. It’s more expensive than the real Ring products and they tricked me to think they are the Ring in Taiwan. TBH, it not marketing, it’s lying.

Back to SpotCam . It’s horrible. It’s slow, buggy, not user friendly, and not really usable for daily use. It’s just a security camera on a doorbell, not really an interactive doorbell camera. SpotCam is not interactive AT ALL. Not to mention the GUI was not professionally designed and the characters are very difficult to see.

As title. The live view prompts you to continue every 10 minutes for no reason. Very annoying. It is unacceptable as a baby monitor for night sleeping.
Also doesn’t provide streaming over LAN. All traffics must go through their cloud controller which is a security risk, and makes product unusable when your WAN connection has limited bandwidth.

My experience is the camera broke in one year.
Don’t buy it.

Anyway, I'll write again.
To make it short, SpotCam is very glitchy. I must say it got better compared to the previous versions, but still... Also, we bought two of this app cameras, and they both stopped recording sound after a month of use. Tried to fix it but couldn't get any troubleshooting help from the website. And there's about 5 seconds of delay on the screen, which is a pretty long delay if you use this for a home security purpose.
We also have Piper, and it works a lot better and their customer service is great: we had a minor problem and emailed them, and they emailed us back on the same day w/ helpful instructions.
The only thing we like about this app over Piper is that it records and saves for a 24 hour period.
But because of the dysfunctionality we won't get this app anymore and won't recommend it.

Sound does not work on iPhone 6 with latest iOS.

Would be 4 stars if the sound worked.

Would be 5 stars if I could disable sound events for when I am home.

Glitchy, sometimes app just won’t open, nearly impossible to get past events to open.

Pros: it works, fairly easy to set up, durable, all the buttons and features seem to work at least on my phone. Paid only 40 bucks.

Cons: very slow! By the time the live video pops up they have already left and no one is at the front door! Lol also when it sends me a notification that the doorbell has been pressed it shows me a video. I press play to watch the video and it takes me to a live video stream, not the recorded incident. Most of the buttons are extremely hard to see at least for me very small and almost the same color as the background, ridiculous! I’m already looking for another brand because all the features I thought I was purchasing cost extra 30 to 50 bucks a month per feature again ridiculous!

Camera won’t connect no matter what I do. Apple says SpotCam is blocked due to security issues. Update. Took 5 days to get it connected. Had to use a different device. Message from apple is the developer has not updated SpotCam and it won’t open. Absolutely zero support from the manufacturer unless you want to count two videos on YouTube telling me what I already know. I’ll use it till it stops working but will not buy this brand again.

The latest version finally fixed the streaming problem in T-Mobile LTE. Finally works properly. One small annoyance is that SpotCam doesn't seem to be built for iPhone 7 Plus screen size. When SpotCam is launched the iPhone system fonts are magnified. For example, the signal strength bar and carrier name is magnified.

I am happy with all the features I got with SpotCam, will be perfect if video export can be added to SpotCam .

Its a simple camera apps. You can use this apps easyly. You can upload photos from this apps.
