Since they updated HeineBrosCoffee //rewards like, 6 or 7 months ago I guess, it’s a joke. The store by me can’t scan your phone to make sure you get your points if HeineBrosCoffee is down (which it was for months). I was also in the top tier and supposed to get 1 free item a month. I did last year, and then in Jan/Feb I got an e mail saying I did, but it wasn’t on my app. I had to e mail support and they added it on. I guess they no longer do the free item every month, which means there’s zero perks for being a top tier member (so glad I spent all that money!!) they are always out of food, flavors, or messing up orders. If my partner didn’t like their cinnamon rolls (which they also always never have, or don’t warm it up, or put it in the bad upside down) I’d probably never order from there again. Which is a shame, because the Banana Chaiburg is my favorite thing to have for breakfast.

New app and rewards are terrible. After a week of being locked out, My points are now seemingly gone and now forced to choose a reward you set for me vs choosing my own… coffee, bakery, etc.
Will choose other coffee establishments with more user friendly app and better rewards experience. Ditch lunchbox and go back to previous version

How to lose your most loyal customers in 7 days.
The old app was great. Simple to use and functioned well. It wasn’t broken.
The new app is broken. I have not been able to log into my account or create a new account since the changeover. Back to using cash to pay for my Heine coffee run. The kind baristas at one of the Heine locations have even posted a notice on their drive thru window suggesting ways that their frustrated customers might try to get HeineBrosCoffee to work. Thanks for trying! Still doesn’t work.

Been a long time Heine Brothers consumer and user of their app and rewards system. Updated HeineBrosCoffee after all of their promo emails about it… and got locked out of my account - saying there’s no account found on their website and won’t let me reset my password through HeineBrosCoffee . Is HeineBrosCoffee just going through bugs that will eventually be fixed and I can log in? Or did they wipe everyone’s points so that we have to start new….?

The new app is so disappointing. The old app was so much better and more functional. Like many I lost points that I am no longer able to access. I had a gift card loaded onto the old app that disappeared. Also it is so annoying that you can no longer choose what reward you want and HeineBrosCoffee dictates that for you. That’s what drew me to Heinebrothers. Very disappointing. I decided to go to another coffee shop in the future.

Heine already had a terrible rewards system but at least HeineBrosCoffee was functional. I still can’t log back into my account and the forgot password feature still doesn’t work. It’s been month since the initial redesign and it’s not fixed. I lost three years worth of points, which was maybe enough to get a muffin. Kinda makes me feel like a rube. Can’t bring myself to order again.

The old Heine Bros app wasn’t the prettiest but it was functional. With the new update, the entire purpose of said app is broken. I can’t log in to my account and the “forgot your password” feature never works. The hard work and points I developed over years of going to Heine Bros are inaccessible.

Honestly, this must have been one of the worst app updates out of any app update I’ve seen on HeineBrosCoffee Store. I’ve been a loyal customer for as long as I’ve lived in Louisville, choosing Heine Bros even if there was a Starbucks or the like closer.

I’m going to give in to my wife and start buying overpriced, underwhelming coffee at Starbucks. At least their app works!

Since HeineBrosCoffee underwent its initial change, it’s been borderline unusable. You can’t even use it to pay anymore…how hard could that be to fix when my card is literally attached to the account?

Worst of all, the new update RESET all reward points. So screw any long-loyal customers, I guess. Hire an actual app developer and maybe don’t mess around with people’s account information. Bye Heine.

Try and use rewards and all I get no matter the configuration of an order is the pricing doesn’t match reward. Just trying to use my $6 or one item free reward I have gotten for a yr now. Unfortunately once the funds I have to use are gone I’ll be heading to other establishments. Been much longer than it should be to have issues resolved with new app.

Horrible app. Twice I’ve been to the store with preloaded rewards that are supposed to work when scanned. They don’t. Ever. They automatically deduct the full amount from my preloaded credit card every time. I’ve told the baristas and they do nothing. Just say it should work and have no idea how to make it right when it doesn’t work. Better off at Starbucks with their awesome app.

This “New and Improved” version of HeineBrosCoffee is not improved. The look of it may be more sleek, but the fact that they have removed the ability to choose what rewards you want to use and have to wait to get the 1500 points is absurd. And the fact that HeineBrosCoffee feels you which reward you get is angering. The old points/reward system was one of the draws for me to Heine. I’m disappointed.

The new app looks nice but is essentially useless for anything other than ordering ahead.

There is a points system to redeem rewards, but you can never use the rewards. Baristas constantly say they don't have the option to use the rewards and have even said they are "expired" when HeineBrosCoffee shows the expiration date is nearly a month away.

Despite steady purchasing, my rewards points have been atrophying and it now seems impossible to accumulate any points towards that $3 credit. I guess this started happening in the fall. Not sure if they changed the rewards system to exclude people that don’t come everyday or if HeineBrosCoffee is broken.

HeineBrosCoffee is just fine. It works well but it’s clunky. I miss being able to continuous scroll the menu and the payment page takes a bit to navigate.

HeineBrosCoffee is very convenient for quick payment and HeineBrosCoffee is very well designed. The only downside is the lackluster perk system. For every $50 you spend you only get $3 in rewards money for future purchases. They do have a few random discounts drop here and there but compared to other rewards programs this one is not very good. Ideally you would want to see more rewards back for spending $50 on coffee.

I’m new to HBPerks and didn’t read the directions for how to retrieve my order. I didn’t realize it would be waiting for me inside. Since I was already in the drive thru the employee helping me was super nice.

Love this chain. Never had a bad experience at any location. Friendly, quick, and more than a few employees actually made me smile. Love yall.

It has recently become part of my routine after dropping my son off at his practice to stop by for a beverage that’s always on point from this pleasant staff.

I just watched a new coffee franchise literally drop from the sky next to Fern Creek’s beloved Tiny Heine. NO ONE serves a better blueberry muffin. Always friendly service and great coffee. Support our local coffee. Preorder your breakfast for your morning drive in.

Bros never ever fails me especially when I need a latte with some cinnamon powder. It’s simple but it’s delicious every time. I love shopping local. I love the people that work at Heine Brothers. I love my Heine’s!!!!
