I just recently opened an account after a friend recommended them and I saw the positive reviews here. I provided all the security verification information required upon initially opening the account, which for the moment I only opened to explore the UI and features. A few days later the sent me an email enticing me to fund my account with an offer to award me $10 in Bitcoin if I made $100 worth in transactions. I thought this was perfect for me to take it for a test drive. Well, about a day after I deposited my money and made a few transfers I received an email from their “Risk Team” saying they had reversed the transactions I made and demanded a copy of my bank account statement and until I comply the account and my assets were frozen, with no explanation whatsoever about what prompted this. These gestapo tactics are not going to work with me, if they had simply asked for additional verification information I would’ve happily provided it to them, but instead they feel they can strong-arm users into compliance just because they can. I am not going to provide them with another iota of my personal data, so as a result they replied that I will not be able to recover my assets for 65 days or until I hand over my bank statement. This is what you’ll get when do business with them.

Invest with these charlatans at your own risk.

I have this app for a few months now, so whatever they advertise is mostly lies, in my case the start offer the miami coin and staked at 480% APY, which I did it sounds a great deal, i staked for 6 month where I’m supposed the get my earnings every 2 weeks on STX coins, however is been almost 2 months since I staked my coins and I only got pay once, and they customers services say they don’t know nothing that we have to way. So I staked my coins and I can’t sale and I don’t getting any interés. And now they drop the interest to 280% and this week to 180% …. This company is bad don’t invest here.

I’ve left a review before saying that it’s a good app that has a frustrating verification system. I’m updating my review to warn anyone looking to use Okcoin. I’ve slowly realizing that Okcoin is an outright fraud. They couldn’t verify my ID but never gave a reason why. It took almost 2hrs of chat messages and days for them to finally tell me that news. In response to not verifying my ID, they gave me 9 days to sell all my assets and withdraw my money or I lose it all. Over 24 hours I’ve submitted 4 “Sell All” orders but they never sell the holdings. I still have all my BTC (and lost over $100 in value since my first sell order). Now I’m hearing that my withdrawals are suspended but I don’t know why. On top of that, as others have said, this app will take up to 10 days to send your money back to the bank. But they gave me 9 days to take care of this issue. Basically I’m being set up to confiscate my money all because they couldn’t verify my legal, valid drivers license. Steer clear of Okcoin, they are a fraudulent organization just waiting to be exposed.

The only thing that this company does well is hold your assets. Unfortunately, everything else we need them to do is a trader they are in capable of. The minute that you would like to transfer your crypto to another wallet, all of the sudden you have no credits and none of the crypto that you own is actually available to use, regardless of how long you’ve owned it or had it in this wallet. They then tell you that there is not enough to transfer so that they can keep the assets inside of their wallet, you also can’t sell it transfer it to US dollars and then wire it back to your account in less than 30 days. If you are trying to find a wallet to trade on that’s going to be able to quickly get the actions you need done to make sure that your money is working for you, this company and Okcoin or not the way to go. You might as well use Robin Hood at this point because these people are just straight up unprofessional, do not answer you and are looking to steal as much as they can. Run!

The exchange is deceptive and lies with an incompetent customer support staff. I signed up on the last week of the month and then on the last day of the month they send an email for you to deposit $100 to get free bitcoin. I emailed customer support to confirm if I will still be eligible and they said yes you have 30 days to do it. All to find out later that they wouldn’t pay it out. They said you should’ve read the terms and conditions and basically too bad. I obviously read it and tried to confirm with their support team prior to the deposit. They are liars and just looking to keep the money for themselves. This is a scam exchange and do not trust them. You’re better off on Gemini or Coinbase. Protect your assets they only care about generating profits for themselves. Do not trust.

After an entire week of going back and forth with this app’s customer service, they told me that the reason I’m not able to withdraw the money in my account ( past their ridiculous 10 day requirement for clearing payments) is because my balance is under $50. Are you serious? No other exchange or brokerage has that sort of restriction!

I’ve been trying to close my account for weeks now and their customer service is purposely being neglecting.

The SEC will come knocking on their doors soon.

Easy to buy Crypto with this app. Nearly impossible to retrieve or recover your funds later. After two days of intense jumping through hoops I was able to transfer most of my funds to my bank account. These funds were available on the 3rd day. On the 4th day I was rewarded with a wire transfer fee even though OK promised there would be no wire fee.

Next I tried to close my account which is next to impossible and they require a copy of my photo ID! Nope… not gonna happen. IMO they want even more control of my sensitive information which I’m trying to have removed. There was practically no vetting to create my account in the first place.

I reported them and their practices to the SEC. Turns out the SEC revoked their registration in July. Go figure.

All of sudden without any reason this app sent an email asking me to send them a video of me with my personal information. At first I thought it was a phishing expedition and so did the this app twitter account folks. No crypto exchange worth its name should be asking for information over a non secure channel. On top of it is the most unusual request that no other exchange has made of me. Further there is no explanation as to why this is being asked all of a sudden and how will my personal information be protected. I have asked this question repeatedly to the support but got no answers. I have asked for secure alternatives but no answer. I have asked that can I just undergo the level 2 photo ID verification again but no they want video over a non secure channel for which they will take no responsibility on its use or misuse (the footer of their email has verbiage to that effect). They have blocked my withdrawals from the exchange. The support team especially the security team is a joke that asks for such information on non secure channels in the name of security. For a ‘crypto’ exchange this is certainly a shame.

DO NOT ADD MONEY TO Okcoin!!!
I have had such a nightmare experience with this app. I had issue with money deposited into my this app account, after numerous follow up (close to 2 weeks) the customer service representative finally told me that they will refund my deposit to the original bank account. However nothing has been done, I followed up almost everyday and ask for status of my refund, all I heard is that they have escalated my case with the team but nothing has been done for another week. It’s been really frustrated that my money stuck with this app for 3 weeks! This is just beyond unacceptable. I still have not get my money back! Horrible experience! NEVER AGAIN!

I tried to open an account the other day and when I got to their level two security I started going in circles because there was a glitch in their system. This did not inspire confidence so I sent them a request to close the account. I have since exchanged three or four emails with them because they are playing games with me and instead of just closing the account they told me I had to send a picture of the front and back of my drivers license and then I got an email telling me to make a video of myself completing level two of the security. Once they get you they will not let you go. I don’t recommend dealing with them.

I was told to buy 100$ in cro n I would get 50$ in Bitcoin and I have never received any plus they wanted me to buy more Eth to activate my account which my account is already activated and then there was no transfer or withdrawal buttons and still cannot connect any of my wallets so please beware they got me out of 200$ and nothing they said they have done plus I keep getting messages from random people claiming to be tech support and the actual tech support said just block them and still didn’t get any help with anything I’m really frustrated about how they screwed me

I have tried to link my chase account via mobile app, mobile website, and desktop. Refreshed my cookies and cleared my cache. Reached out to the this app support team and it feels like they are giving me the run around. Reached out to Plaid and the issue is not on their side. I have asked this app to look at my account and see what’s going on. They are not giving me a solid answer. All they say is, link another bank.

I have been trying to withdraw my account and OK coin continues to deny my withdrawal requests. I have made several attempts to get this issue rectified however the poor customer service fails to read the history of my email requests for withdrawal, creating this fiasco and after trying to withdraw for more than seven times in a month it still has not been processed and OK coin is still keeping my money this is invalid wrong and illegal and I adviseFor everyone to read through all the reviews and make sure they make the decisions properly before they download Okcoin .

The new update is not as good as the previous version for two reasons. 1) the portfolio tab does not show the actual amount of tokens is not in earn, just the percentage. 2) the prices tab does not update unless you click on the token itself.
Also, if by chance when you buy tokens and your bank account doesn’t cooperate, this app will liquidate your tokens a few days later without telling you or giving you a chance to remedy the funds or account. Gemini will at least put a hold on your account and email you that there is a problem or put a negative in usd to keep from liquidating your tokens.

I have had Okcoin for just over a month and although customer service has resolved my issues, when they decide to get back to me, I’ve had the same recurring issue. I’ve made 5 separate deposits and every time I’ve received some variation of the transaction failing. You can not be a reliable exchange and constantly block deposits from a reputable bank, Bank of America, especially when there is more than enough funds in my account to process the transaction. Very frustrating.

I enjoy this exchange and Okcoin is very user friendly my only request would be to allow the interface to be changed between light and dark mode.

I love Okcoin, but please fix this issue. The price you display is not real time, even in the Pro-version. This can cause traders a lot of missed opportunities, and that’s a big deal!
I need to feel that Im trading with a reliable App! This should be an easy fix, please take it seriously, and resolve it.

It is simple to use yet has access to trading charts and different order types. The fees are really low, and I have been trading on it for 8 months and really like it. Highly recommended. The design is not the best but they seem to be improving it and also listing new assets. All in all I really like it!

Two days ago my personal computer was crashed when I was using Okcoin and when I signed back my account balance was cero !!!.Then contact the costumer service thinking hacker was on my account!!.Today everything is fine but to normal!! Definitely a have to say thanks to all the people who was in the chat and thanks to Laura who send me the email to help me and find the solution!!.

I had an issue uploading ID for ltc so I got on the chat help and was promptly greeted and instructed how to fix the issue I was having. Basically the browser kept rejecting my ltc upload and not letting me move forward. What I ended up having to do was to refresh browser after deleting history and cookies and what not. Mmmmh. Cookies. Sounds so good. You know chocolate chip or hmmm sugar cookies. Puff puff pass. Thank you for you help Jason. You suggestion worked like a charm but then again you probably knew that. It’s so difficult to navigate through Okcoin. They lock your funds have terrible rates. DONT GET Okcoin. I REPEAT DONT GET Okcoin

The most difficult crypto app I’ve used not straightforward and you don’t get to withdraw your investment seems like a fraud to me until they lock you out and say your account is suspended

Had found this exchange because I wanted to invest in STX , this was one of the few that carried it... was is gone!! Cant get a hold of anybody. Representative through Reddit is a bot that keeps telling not to be vulgar and deletes comments despite no vulgar language used.. Beware Beware Beware!!!!!!! Scam

Misleading app

Okcoin is by far the worst app ever.
Don’t even dare putting money into it.
It’s a vast maze. Once your dollars are in it, don’t expect to get them out.
I just received an email that they are shutting down their main reason for existence, which is to “stack or earn” interest by staking your funds. In the email, it directs you to a survey, and once there you are supposed to have an opportunity to pose questions.
Even that survey, doesn’t work. I tapped on the first section to add a question and presto! Survey ended.
I swear if I hadn’t seen an address from San Francisco, I would have believe that English was not the developer’s first language, actually, maybe it isn’t?
There are way better opportunities out there and don’t pick this shell game!

After looking up trading pairs, I decided to sign up for this app to purchase a coin that is limited to Americans/US.

I started by transferred Bitcoin into funding account. After learning the trading pair I wanted was NOT in fact available on this app, I decided to withdraw my Bitcoin back to my wallet. this app will not allow me to withdraw the Bitcoin that I just funded my account with. Instead I had to do the detailed KYC (including face / selfie to match my documents) just to pull my bitcoin back out...

So it took 5 mins to fund my account with Bitcoin, but now to get it back out I'm waiting hours, and maybe days for the detailed KYC application to process. Easy/quick to get Bitcoin in/hard/time consuming to get Bitcoin back out. I hope they will not hold my Bitcoin hostage for too much longer...Super sketchy.

UI has lot of opportunities to improve.

Do not use Okcoin. I deposited my STX into my account and now my account is deactivated. I have reached out to them and no reply. I repeat do not use Okcoin.

I never write reviews for apps but Okcoin is a must if you want to make passive income with BTC.

At the time of this writing STX is about $1.24. Hopefully you got in.

Great for trading with this app or just all around "market watch" if I could add anything it would be :a trailing stop loss and the ability to create a preventative stop loss so if an order executes a stop loss is already in place saving time and $

How did you get the company you sent Bitcoin to?Because wallet addresses don't come with names. Even though not a 100% anonymous but you would definitely have a hard time finding the ‘company’’. And how did you conclude the recipient is a scammer? These and several other questions are running through my mind. I can see scam pages promoting scam firms too. Y’all need to careful out there.
