You're probably downloading this because your company told you to and you have no option. Fine. The way BTMeetMe deals with "mute" - as mentioned in other reviews, arguably one of the most important features in conference calls - is an absolute disaster. I don't think anyone at BT has ever been in a conference call. That one feature is plagued by multiple bugs and terrible choices. Chiefly amongst them:
1) Whenever you mute, a voice kicks in to say that "YOUR LINE HAS BEEN MUTED", or "YOUR LINE HAS BEEN UNMUTED", and you just lost 5 seconds of what your client or boss just said. Brilliant!
2) Sometimes mute just doesn't work at all. The button is activated, but it isn't really on mute. You think nobody can hear you, but your client or boss just heard your wife say she wants a divorce. Brilliant!
3) Best of all, if your phone is locked and if mute is somehow working, you just can't change mute status. You have to unlock your phone to unmute yourself. Your boss or client just asked a question, and now you're fumbling with your password to unlock your screen, listen to the helpful woman say that "YOUR LINE HAS BEEN UNMUTED", to respond to them. Brilliant!
4) Last but not least, the lock call screen mute button also shows the opposite of what BTMeetMe is doing. If BTMeetMe is muted, the lock screen will show it's unmuted, and vice-versa. Just... absolutely... speechlessly... brilliant.

Like all I read read, the mute option causes BIG issues. You have to wait for a 5 seconds audio to mute or to unmuted that makes you lose content and makes you unable to speak. Then, you can’t unmute in the lock screen, causing a long time to be able to reply someone, sometimes they giving up. Not mentioning when you think it’s muted but it’s not. Horrifying.

Mute is *the* most important feature in conferencing software. The Latest update “revamping” the UI made it virtually useless. Mute function inside BTMeetMe takes you out of the call for 5 seconds to verbally inform you that you turned off or on mute. Seriously?This cannot be turned off. But far worse, If you are on your phones lock screen, the mute function no longer functions at all. It shows you as always muted (you are not) and you can’t change status unless you unlock the phone and go back into BTMeetMe .
Do the developers even use this junk before releasing it? Anyone that uses BTMeetMe would never put in such stupid and annoying features that can’t be turned off.
Go back to the old version that works please.

After this latest update, as other comments already described here, every time you hit the mute/unmute button, you need to hear a message telling your line was muted/unmuted. Unnecessary to say it is annoying, you should use your app in your conferences, so you’d realize it yourselves...
Unable to view the meeting attendees in the new version. Now there is new feature where when I mute, there is a message as ‘you are now muted’ and while unmute ‘you are now unmuted’. This feature is extremely irritating as I am missing out the meeting data due to this automated message.

Having a voice over ‘your line has been muted/unmuted’ when attending calls - that suppresses the audio from call for 3 seconds .. Not able to use ‘Mute’ option due to it

I've been using BTMeetMe for sometime and was generally quite happy with it. Sure the interface was clunky but the sound quality was by far better than what I had on PSTN lines. But now it's not working with data since their last update and this is very frustrating

I have stopped using BTMeetMe because it interrupts my call stating ‘your line has been muted’ when I have to mute the line. This keeps me from hearing several seconds of speech and I often have to ask folks to repeat because of this.
This is not a benefit and is a significant pain point. I am using my phone line to dial in to conferences instead.

On the iPhone 8 you can’t use BTMeetMe to connect which means you lose the sound quality. Also there is no way to turn off notifications during calls. Bugs all the way around.
I’ve been using BTMeetMe for at least two years and I liked it. After the last update it’s no longer usable. Like others the muting function is disappointing. And the additional problem I have is half the time the signing in screen doesn’t change to the your in the meeting screen. And the mute button on the signing in screen doesn’t work, people can still here you. Change BTMeetMe back please.

Thank you for extending the screen so there is not that awkward blank gap on either side of the screen. BUT no less than 50% of the time when I open or join a bridge, I get no audio going in or out. If I am the one opening the bridge this is very frustrating (for all participants) since I have to close the bridge then reopen in order to get it to work. Kicking all participants off and making them redial in.
Also, the mute does not work if the screen times out. Unlike on regular calls, selecting mute/unmute does not work on the locked screen. It only works inside BTMeetMe . AND sometimes BTMeetMe glitches, freezing BTMeetMe and my phone as well. If I happen to be muted at the time it freezes then it takes 5-10 minutes (not exaggerating) before I can unmute myself because even after I close BTMeetMe , my phone is still affected somehow and cannot do anything.
I do not use BTMeetMe anymore as it has become a risk and liability more than a convenience.
Please fix....

Wow. So many bugs now. Half the time BTMeetMe never moves beyond the “waiting to connect” screen even though audio starts. Mute buttons are all jacked too.

Need option to stop audible mute/unmute prompts. It’s a useless feature and you cant hear people on the call.
There is a repeatable bug that stops the caller list from appearing, the connection screen is endless even though you can hear the call.

If I want to put on the speaker I see that speaker Is missing. After Recent update the mute or unmute icon has latency issues. All the above issues are faced after recent updates. Please fix it
Current version cuts meeting audio from your end while you mute or unmute your line, replaced by an audible “you line has been muted” message.
You miss what people say while the message is being spoken.
Mute should be a simple, quick, on/off feature with no delay. This may help people feel better about whether or not their line is truly muted...but the trade off of not having it work instantly (and missing what someone else is saying) is not worth it.

There are so many issues with BTMeetMe and it is a pity because none of them are major and could be easily fixed. The major problems are about the mute button, that many have already addressed and the second is that often BTMeetMe is stuck in the connection screen. It will work, but you won’t be able to change audio settings (go to speakerphone for example) or see the participants. Audio is great but these issues seriously degrade the experience.

Using the apps from couple of months now, however it still needs lots of improvement like there are no recent entries for the conference calls I dialed in from BTMeetMe in the past. Also if you switch between mail app to get the passcode and enter couple of numbers it do not hold that. It erases the number all the time and then you need to make sure you type all the numbers in one entry.

Used to be amazing if your company uses this service; one of the better audio conf apps around with Dolby NR. Somehow, bugs are slipping in more often. Current version has a "mute" button which is really laggy, making it hard to properly silence and re-enter a conversation. But overall service is good if app would just work properly.
Incoming calls still an issue

Excellent sound quality and ease of use, but please improve the way BTMeetMe behaves when an incoming phone call interrupts you during a conference call. When this happens, BTMeetMe doesn't prompt you to dismiss the call; it simply cuts you off from your conference, and sometimes it doesn't let you get back in unless you close BTMeetMe , reopen and dial in again.
Switched over to this for our office. Works well for what we need it to do. Thanks!
