This is an extremely useful Catan generator. Lots of different options. I have one question about HexIsleMap - when generating an “even” map, I wonder what the algorithm determines is “even”? Sometimes it seems that there are more balanced maps than others.
Our family is very fond of Catan and we have always struggled to create fairs layouts with some sort of random element. I was already starting an algorithm when I found Hex Isle Map and VOILA! So easy to achieve a fair game with or without adjacent hexes!
The seafarers layouts are also amazing.

Simple interface large variety of generation options. The seafarers "New World" generator had a couple of the numbers wrong, but it's brought that to the devs attention and fixed. Couldn't be happier with HexIsleMap .

By far the best Catan map generator
I've used the other app for generating boards but this one is much cleaner faster and has the seafarer scenarios. My only complaint is there is no paid version to get rid of the ads.
This is by far the best Catan map generator and I use it all the time with my gaming groups.
You can set it for basic Catan or Seafarers, both with up to 6 players.
