App is very frustrating

I very much like the content but no matter what platform I am watching on (new iPhone or internet TV) I have issue with playing a lot of the time and if I am lucky enough that goes well I just pray family doesn’t interrupt me because if I have to hit pause or rewind it’ll crash or freeze virtually every time. I’ve never experienced such a horrible player in all my life. You charge a hefty amount, performance should be better, and I’m sure the high cost is partly because not many people will subscribe to this content so I’m ok with supporting you as you grow your subscriptions however the irony is I watch this for my spiritual side and the amount of frustrations I get trying to be peaceful is anything but. I would recommend you stop adding new content and redirect your resources until you are able to fix this issue. It has caused me to really limit how much I use Gaia . Btw, our internet speed doesn’t get much better, we’re a top tier and have extra routers to support a house five times our small size. I personally don’t want to spend time with tech support on something that likely is not on our end. I can’t be the only one having issues. Please look into fixing it because I would really like to continue watching more of your programs with ease in the near future.

Exponential Daily Growth when you are ready!

Holy wow! I’m always surprised by how much I can learn on Gaia in just a small span of time. Fifteen minutes. An hour. Doesn’t matter. You become a sponge to information that you would normally have a hard time being captivated by and/or retain in traditional conversations.

So absolutely worth your time and money. Even in my off months of no watching I’m still happy and proud to support this community and it’s endless beautiful array of healing knowledge. The share feature alone with ANYONE you’d like it magical enough! I’ve turned so many people onto Gaia by that feature alone. Heck, it’s how I got started! Thanks close pal who shared a quick link to this and forever changed my life. You rock.

So incredibly grateful for this medium and that it’s growing larger and assisting people in realizing the beauty and information we already have stowed deep within our selves.

Love the app but Please announced canceled shows

I really like this video platform, I first heard about it from Coast To Coast AM. I love a bunch of shows from Missing Link, cosmic disclose, Beyond belief, etc.
I recommend it to anyone who enjoys consciousness, physics and/or paranormal type subjects. They also include programming about mindfulness, meditation and yoga!
My only negative comment is: please add something on the website saying when a series gets canceled or when the content gets pulled. I am a follower of David Wilcock and I had heard through the grapevine that his original interviews with Corey Goode were on this platform. This is actually what led me to signup for the trial, only to find out that the interviews and other content had been pulled due to issues between this app and Corey. Needless to say I was disappointed, I understand that these things happen, but this is the reason for the 4 star review.
That being said I am pleased with the amount of content on this platform, the ad free nature, and how a lot of shows are on a weekly schedule. I will most likely be a subscriber for years to come 🙂.

Great content but...

Love the content, but it’s not easy to navigate. The way it saves “my playlist” is all over, it will be great to view the lists by theme.
It’s not clear what you have watched. Things you have finished watching still show on top under “continue watching”. There could be a tab that shows what I have watched under my account...not on top, unless I have not finished.
The offline content, has worked very few times...it’s actually very frustrating when you plan to watch something on a train, airplane or outside the country... and none of the videos will work... some of them show like downloaded and others still pending, but none will work, even with a good internet speed. Unless you have to do one at a time...there should be a warning.
I tried to practice yoga using a TV screen, it’s very hard to navigate and many times videos will not load, so I get stuck in the middle of the practice... not good!
I also noticed that some content now show restricted for the US... when I selected to watch, it was available, not sure what happened.
As I said, content is great, lots of different variety of topics, but have couple of things to work for a great product.

Update: the issues mentioned above still persists after a long time except for the sorting of my playlist. Good feature 👍🏼 it has some glitches though.
It will be great if the tech team works on these basic things to make a better user experience, specially because the subscription is not cheap.

Apple TV Support and App Support Not The Best

Updated Review (4/4/22):

Thanks for fixing the timeline preview and the 10 second skipping feature on the Apple TV app. I still have issue with the Apple TV remote app on my phone and watch not working with the Apple TV this app app. So I just use the iPhone this app app and AirPlay it to my Apple TV, then I am able to use the remote app to control the Apple TV properly. I love the iPhone this app app. Works as expected most of the time, but I still have problems every once and a while with it glitching when rewinding while using AirPlay.

Old Review:

They have a great collection of spiritual and health content. Their support for Apple TV and iPhone app are not the best. Their apps actually take away from the overall video streaming experience of Apple TV and iPhone. The timeline preview to see where you are fast forward or rewinding to is not enabled like all other video streaming apps. Also the 10 second skip and fast forward only works on some videos. If you use the remote app on the iPhone or Apple watch it doesn’t recognize that a video is playing at all, so the Apple TV ends up playing music instead if you press pause or play. I have notified support for the past year or more about the same issues. Recently they have an subtitle/closed caption issue where it is out of sync with the video. I report that issue also. They said that they were already aware of it. It’s been a week and the issue still exist.

Dysfunctional app and poor customer support

Gaia has been nothing but problems for several years, I only keep it in case there is something worth disregarding the poor app capabilities to watch.
I have always had random issues of certain episodes not playing or not being available at random times, there is no English subtitle for this of us who have a hard time understanding the speakers who have a thick accent. Even to this day still no English subtitle option. But the main reason for this low review is because for 3 months Gaia has been freezing as soon as I click on any content. Whether it’s an episode or my profile, Gaia freezes as soon as I click something on the main screen. The support has not been helpful and they keep telling me to update Gaia . Um...Gaia is up to date and you guys need make changes on your end to fix Gaia . They also tell me the streaming speed is extremely slow, but when tested right next to my router it still freezes. Other streaming apps and video game consoles have no problem streaming other apps. So this is definitely a this app issue, but they won’t listen.

My Daily Ritual

My absolute go-to. I have been subscribed for three years, as when I was reading up on yoga, I had no clue how impacting that decision truly was on my life. Finding this app has been my tool that I use on a daily. It has allowed yoga and meditation to balance and better my life, calm anxiety, center myself so well to be able to envision my goals and reach them, see the greatness in the ones around me, leaving me feeling so grateful and full of love and light, every single time on my mat. Clara Roberts-Oss was the first instructor that I felt a connection to, her energy is so powerful, she can impact your life through a screen, portraying such a unique message, and mentor you through your day. For me personally, she is the perfect match for me because she flows so fluently, expand your ability, and does not forget how important it is to connect to yourself.
The best decision I have ever made was in countering yoga and Gaia into my life.

Seems worth it!

My daughter practices yoga daily, and recommended Gaia to me. I’ve been using it for a couple of months now, and with Gaia Store having an article on some other yoga apps, I tried them out a bit.

What I don’t like about this app is the cost—$99 on the year plan, or $12 per month if I don’t prepay a year. I think most of the other apps are a bit less, but they seem to offer so much less. I have an excellent yoga place nearby, but its schedule and mine don’t often agree, it’s definitely more expensive than this app, and I don’t have the option of short classes.

What I do like is the quality of the classes and instructors, the variety of what’s offered, the reliable way I can stream videos on my iPad (or to my Apple TV) for me to practice.

My own peculiarities also influence this—I’m not going to go out and do yoga for 90 minutes. Being able to locate videos that are 15-20 minutes fits well with my attention and energy span.

In addition, I like to vary what I do. I think I’m fine doing my own meditation, but there are good videos for that. But I can change up between yoga and Tai Chi or whatever and feel I can do what my body needs. I can download so I can even squeeze in a session in the office, where I don’t have a WiFi connection.

So I think I’m sold on this app...!

Love Gaia, but app stinks

I'm so glad this app finally came out with a mobile app, years later than they should have, but for some reason they never take the time and effort to do it right.

This version is much better than the previous one, but I still have problems with basic things like rewinding 10 seconds. Either pressing the 10 second button doesn't work, or you can only press it 1 time and it stops responding, or the whole player freezes or crashes, and you have to exit or restart the whole player again to continue watching the video. Heck, sometimes the player freezes even when you press nothing. It's super frustrating.

I wish this app realized that mobile devices are how many if not most people access content nowadays, so they should take the time to do it right. This stuff isn't reinventing the wheel. There's no excuse for their app being so dreadful for years already. Get some decent app developers already!

Very Educational

I have been enjoying this app for six years. In that time I have noticed that they have expanded tremendously. There are a lot of choices one can have to watch and educate themselves. I have enjoyed many of the movies, but mostly I enjoy listening to the interviews of the different people that they have on the original programs. I want to thank Regina Meredith, David Wilcock, George Noori and Lisa Garr for their dedication and the education that they have presented to me and the rest of the viewers. With newer presenters like Gregg Braden and Dr. Teresa Bullard for a broader and parallel view of science and spirituality. Now there so many more hosts that I couldn’t name them all-but I appreciate them. this app is my go to channel for viewing my thirst of spirituality. The hosts are the equivalent of movie actors to me and I wish to thank them again for spreading the great information to the world. Thank you this app!

Could use some development

Gaia has improved noticeably in loading videos. That’s great. Further improvements could be made in how the rotation changes between portrait and landscape on iPad - the video starts out upside down so I have to flip my iPad back and then back again.
I find myself having to temporarily toggle off the Wi-Fi and switch to cellular for videos to load sometimes. I’m on a VPN but it doesn’t get consistently smoother when I’m off the VPN.
The process of either downloading or monitoring download progress is fragile. If I go to a different view and then return, the download in progress may regress or remain stuck in the queue, but if I stay on the view after tapping the download button it works as expected nearly 100% of the time. Downloads also are slower than on other video apps.
But this just might have to be expected considering They probably don’t want this material out there.

Universal consciousness and pineal glam, what the bleep do we know

I’ve just subscribed but.... I’m beginning to put together how everything works. I’ve always known there was more. I have abilities and gifts opposite of what I was raised to believe. But..in listening and studying spirituality, through meditation and prayer and dreams..I realized there IS One. No matter what faith or religion..one. This One loves me..cares about me..won’t ever leave me. So much so..I receive miracles and Divine Intervention... again and again. I transcended and I’m on my soul path..never knew anything positive or taught how to think right about myself or others. The world was scary. Now I’m learning a whole new way.. I’m soaking it up like a sponge. I’ve experienced many things I couldn’t explain..here the pieces are beginning to fit. Thank you,
This world truly needs more education in this area...love.

My Thanks.

Can’t actually afford Gigi, but it is so informative I decided to try to squeeze it into my budget. I had it before but had to let it go due to lack of funds. I’m just getting started again and I’m enjoying every minute. Thank you for seeing more than can be seen with the human eye and for helping inform those of us that believes there is more to life than what our 6 senses can conceive. Also for taking on Jeffery Thompson as a part of this app. His brain entrainment CD’s are what brought me back after one of the most traumatic times in my life. Had it not been for his CD’s I know I would have lost my life either through a mental breakdown of the worst kind or death. Please thank him for me and thanks to the entire team of everyone at this app that makes all the wonderful things happen.

Don’t let fear be your ultimate guide

this app will offer many ideas, thoughts, concepts and practices that seem foreign, different or even in conflict with your beliefs, practices or understanding about life. This can become a stopping point for some. I am glad I did not allow fear to stop me from exploring what this app offers.
this app has blessed and enriched my life. Do I agree, connect or find truth with everything offered? No. Yet, there is so much that has been of value and brought new perspectives and inspiration to the things I believe are true and expanded my understanding of those beliefs . I find this is a gift. Remaining open to learning is a choice and having a resource such as this app has expanded my heart, mind and soul. I feel connected and hopeful as I hear and learn from others who are in their unique way making the world a better place.

App needs updated search features

When searching for something like “full moon” I get a massive list of everything containing the word “moon” and articles containing the word “full” with limited priority at the top for the combination of “full moon”. Try “full moon meditation”... forget about it.

Also, there should be a better filter search option. Why can’t I search “full moon” specifically in the meditation section? The meditation section does have filters, but they are useless. I don’t care who the teacher is, what level the mediation is, or what the duration is, as long as it covers the topic I’m looking for. Those are the only 3 filter options, and they are all useless to me. I would like to see a category option, i.e. healing, brain power, deep meditation, etc. Also a filter for the type of video; is it guided meditation, sound healing, or is it yoga?

I greatly appreciate this update, and would give Gaia 5 stars if that happened.

Pause, forward, back

I love Gaia. I love the shows on it. It teaches us so much and I can share with others.
Any chance you can make it so I can press pause on my iPad by pressing the space bar? And go backwards and forward by pushing the arrows?
At the moment I have to touch the screen and touch the little 15 seconds button. And sometimes I can’t touch it. So I’m just touching it over and over again, which makes the button disappear by touching the screen, until I finally hit it. By then it it’s been a while and I have to go back a lot. And I like to watch this while I’m splicing ropes and building fire props. Or cooking, journaling, and we like to talk about the subjects as the show is playing. It would really be nice.
Thanks for the excellent shows!

No Dates and Times of Shows

The content is pretty good but across all of this app but the thumbnails of the shows are missing the date and time the show first aired. The only way you can tell is by actually playing the show and then the first air date shows up. This is extremely annoying, especially since many of the shows are date and time sensitive. It has actually been so annoying I stop actually watching shows because I don't want to have to constantly start shows just to see how old they are. I get it that this app thinks they know everything more than their viewers and is trying to hide the dates to give the shows a timeless quality but viewers are smarter than that. After a while people will just stop, watching or even exploring.

FIX IT!!!

Best fitness app

This is the best Fitness App I have used. It works very well with Voice-Over, and offers a wide range of Workouts I can do. It is never Boring and I want to keep using it, especially for Yoga practices! The one thing that really disappoints me is the fact that some yoga videos are missing that I really enjoy using such as: yoga for relaxation parts one and two, and the yoga for beginners bye Patricia Walden. This has helped me to keep my yoga practice is consistent, and those videos were extremely authentic when it came to doing yoga and it was old school which is what I love. This is very sad, but I would really love to see these videos back up here sense the yoga instructors were very precise with their instruction, and this is crucial for me as a blind person trying to perform yoga on a daily basis.

Not just yoga

I’ve found so many wonderful yoga instructors as I pursue the collection. Latest favorite is morning Yoga with several new short classes every week. Dance workouts, Pilates, weight training, and Thai Chi, More! Add to this all of my favorite curious minded series hosts giving me my weekly dose of archeological and many ancient historical, spiritual quests, physical, mental and egoic health quests, quirky/silly/fun propositions, brilliant people with stimulating suggestions, ridiculous ideas that nonetheless tantalize.... More. If I were to give up all but a couple of my information channels that inform my life this app and NPR and walks in nature are on the short list. this app team, would you add running in the background on Gaia , please? How bout tours of the studio in Boulder? Tea with members of the team? Thanks for all you ALL do!

Pushes a certain perspective

Gaia is different to say in the least. I’m big into spirituality and was super eager to check this out. Some stuff was pretty cool actually and really opened my eyes but it was the section on the afterlife that really irritated me. It didn’t give multiple perspectives but a single one reinforced by numerous people sharing the same one. Then I noticed the pattern. It wasn’t just the afterlife section is was in almost every section I was able to check out during the trial. They push a very particular belief system and state it as if it’s a fact. It’s no better than going to a Christian church where they believe the same as other Christians but think their branch is the most accurate out of all of them. It’s demeaning, close minded, and gate keeping on so many levels. This isn’t a spirituality app that addresses a broad spectrum across various belief systems but a single perspective is addressed excluding 99% of other belief systems.
