Complete theft!! Prices are virtually impossible to find and when I sent an email to customer service I got back an email that basically insulted me and didn’t address my problems!! Beckett is garbage!! DO NOT GET THIS EVEN IF ITS FREE!! I just read a review by jced and it is a perfect description of how frustrating this waste of space is to the web!! It’s almost like it’s ran by people who have no clue about the industry!! I canceled my subscription after two weeks of trying and trying to figure out how to utilize Beckett !! I’m not even gonna try to get my $33 back!! While the name this app used to be an authority in the trading card industry it is nothing but a “money grab” and a main reason if not THE REASON the industry is dying!!! Bring back Price Guide Index or some competition to these bums!! If you need prices on cards or memorabilia just google it or at least check with a palm reader or fortune teller!! At least with a palm reader or a fortune teller there is a chance their predictions, estimates or whatever they do, will be close!! IF, YOU GET ANYTHING (other than a headache and a bout of rage) chances are it’s WRONG!! Shame on you this app for theft and tearing down an industry I have loved my whole life!! I am 50 years old and if this would have happened to me at 12 years old, I would’ve never collected another sports memorabilia or trading card for the rest of my life!!

I am giving Beckett a 2 star rating only because after having this app for years, I have utilized the price guides a lot. I find it ludacris that the prices continue to rise, now at $11 and unless you use every feature daily it's excessive in my opinion. I attempted to call to cancel over the span of several days with no one answering the subscription hotline. Finally on day 3 I tried a different option and got a hold of a gentleman who said he got through just fine and that I must've not called during working hours. After informing him that I tried just before getting him he said sorry you've already been charged for this month as of this morning. I told him that I've been trying for 3 days and he then tells me it must've been during hours they weren't open. I am appalled and disgusted by the level of customer service this app offers and will NEVER utilize anything this app again!

If card collecting was your childhood hobby and you haven’t touched your collectibles in 20 years.... Beckett is not for you!!!

The organization for picture recognition fails 8/10 times. Maybe Beckett works for newer cards but forget about it if your cards are from the 80’s and 90’s. Worst of all, after wasting an evening over Beckett the customer service team was completely unempowered to issue a refund. $40 for an app that just frustrated me for four hours and was identified to be a failure. I asked for a manager to follow up with me but they never bothered.

So at the end of the day, I don’t mind spending the $40 dollars if I can help just one person not waste their time and money on Beckett that needs to be clear about its lack of capabilities. Great concept, just overpromised and underdelivered.

Horrible app. I came across all my old cards from my youth. Saw this app was still around and with an app. Downloaded (without reading reviews) and was excited to see what my old cards were worth. When Beckett does load, I saw I needed to buy a subscription to see their worth. No big deal, just like when I was younger buying the current this app mag to see, $15. Spend the $15 for the subscription, load Beckett until it actually works, and it tells me I have no subscription. My receipt says $15 to this app but my account on Beckett says “nope”. I contacted this app customer service 3-4 days ago and haven’t heard anything back besides a automated reply. Log on to Beckett Store and see the all the bad reviews they have. People having similar and different problems. Don’t waste your time on Beckett. Read the reviews first. Don’t let nostalgia get you

I have found Beckett to be very useful. I find the search by name of player to be very useful. Once the search terms are entered by first and last name, the search results show all cards assigned to that player by year and alphabetical.
But every update leads to problems with opening Beckett on my iPhone XR. Upon opening Beckett , the loading screen hangs. The concentric half circles which show as working, spin, but hang. Beckett does not open. I must depress home button and swipe app closed. Then I restart Beckett . Lately, even the restart hangs. This is an expensive app. I am charged monthly. Please fix this.

Beware, the website and app automatically set you up for Auto-pay even if you select one time payment. Then it won’t let you stop auto pay. Beckett will say that you have to turn it off in settings. But there is no option to. In addition it will say you have to turn it off in Apple Pay. Even if you don’t have Apple Pay even set up. Then if you try on the website, it will keep giving you pop ups asking if you are sure you want to cancel it. By the end when you submit, it will give you an error. And if you go back into your profile your will find that you are still on auto-pay.

This company is horrible and I’m not too sure that what they are doing is exactly legal. Beware if you buy any of their subscriptions.

Beckett itself is okay. The search engine is very poor and will not fine what you are looking for most of the time unless you are extremely specific.

The shady part is when is comes to auto-renewal. When purchasing a 1-month subscription from my phone, the subscription management was tied to my iCloud account. I canceled from my iCloud account but continued to be charged because I didn’t go into my account IN this app’S app to cancel there as well.

That is a pretty deceptive practice in my opinion. I have never had to cancel a subscription in multiple places for any other service in my life. I wonder how much extra revenue they generate because of this extra, unexplained step. I will not pay them another cent.

Do not download Beckett if you intend to manage your collection via an iPad or tablet. Beckett doesn’t allow you to actually enter your cards into the collection.

The description states you can, “...access these same great features you find online.” You have to use a browser to do that. Why would I download an app if I had to use a browser?

So someone who downloaded Beckett , signed up for the pricing service, realized after a few minutes of trying to upload cards that the feature they’re searching for doesn’t exist, they’re stuck with a non-refundable payment to this app. I used Beckett for less than 15 minutes and asked for a refund. It was escalated to a business development executive who told me, “We apologize however online subscriptions are non-refundable.” It’s a shame. I’ve been a this app customer since the first year the company started printing a price guide and have also gotten nearly 100 cards BGS graded.

I bought the service to go along with Beckett . Beckett doesn’t support what I want to do. The company should refund my money. PSA and SGC will get my grading from now on.

I didn’t even get onto Beckett . It first told me to put in a password. I put in a password and it told me the requirements and one of the things was adding a special character. I add a special character and it tells me the only ones you can add are, “-“ or “_”. I change to one of those and then it tells me my password and confirm password don’t match. I tried multiple time with different and the same passwords to get in but it still didn’t let me in. I finally gave up on what felt like the 50 millionth time trying to put a password. Very frustrated and thoroughly do not recommend Beckett from just my password catastrophe experience. Thank you for your time and for listening to me ramble.

Beckett seems to be stuck in the 90’s. The UI is garbage and makes no sense. When I tried to purchase a subscription, they took my money but Beckett failed to recognize my subscription, forcing me to contact their customer support.

Customer support was also a nightmare. I had to speak to two very unhelpful reps who ultimately asked me to send them an email in order to “prove” my purchase. 18 hours later and no response from anyone. Now I’m forced to cancel the subscription and request a refund from Apple.

Don’t waste your time with Beckett until they do a complete overhaul and make it actually work.

Overpriced nonsense! I paid for a one month subscription for total access. A lot of cards have N/A price values... sometimes the same card will be listed multiple times with COMPLETELY different values with no explanation or any reason why or if there is a difference between them. You are better off looking at market value on eBay then to pay for this junk. Beckett is garbage, it’s overpriced, and useless. SAVE YOUR MONEY. You will regret this purchase!

Update: I have NO CLUE how Beckett averages over 4 stars. I wish I read all of the reviews ahead of time. Everybody saying the same thing!

About half the time between midnight and 6am, Beckett is down for maintenance, but it never gets any better. The other half of the time Beckett has a spinning circle that says “loading” but will not load. You have to keep closing Beckett and restarting until it finally decides to load and quit putting you to sleep with a spinning loading circle. I pay way too much money for this garbage to not have a useable app but for only half the day. It’s 2021. You’d think this app is still stuck in the 1990’s with this junk!

Like Beckett for the most part except for when my subscription renews it says I have to buy a subscription but when I try to buy a subscription it says I’m already subscribed. It should just flow into the next month if I renew it yet it doesn’t do that for me. Not sure if anyone else has this problem.

Ive had a this app subscription for years, and Beckett just keeps getting worse and worse. It was bad enough that it was down for maintenance 4-6 hours every night, but now Beckett does not work at all. Sad to have to cancel my subscription, because I like to have all my card info organized here when it works, but it never works when I need it to. What a shameful money grab on a out of touch over priced inaccurate price guide service that used to be a staple of the hobby.

For a company doing business as a Collectable card pricing and grading service, I would think you could at least have 80-90% of card pictures. Especially for such highly rated players as Griffey Jr and other HOF players. Some cards don't even have prices available or are way under going average prices on EBay. Would have expected better,thankfully just paying for one player pricing.

This is not concerning Beckett in general. I do not subscribe to this app because the times I tried and it said I had paid and now had Access. I never could get in and after numerous times of calling the man said you’re not subscribed. My credit card was charged for the month but I was so ‘fed up’ with their customer service or lack of I just let them have the money. I’d rather just get Baseball America and right or wrong make my own decision. I see I’m not alone.

Beckett is awful. They have so few picture for cards and it is hard to tell which card is which especially with the newer cards. Old cards often have the wrong pictures. The search options are awful and often things as easy as card numbers are wrong. For as much as you have to pay they should update the new stuff. What a joke. And how is there no card scanner???

Love that you have the pictures but would like the option to be able to scroll through easier without waiting for pics to load.

I needed to check some prices for some older cards and reluctantly paid $35 for it. Not only was it annoying to use, but after a month, I saw another $35 charge. I never signed up for auto renewal, and Beckett would not let me unsubscribe. So I emailed customer service. No response. I called, and they said my second $35 charge was non-refundable. Such a waste. Do yourself a favor and save your money.

Not a major issue, i suppose, to waste a few bucks to find out that a large ,respected organization (why?)such as Becketts, is totally unconcerned or incapable of providing any customer service what so ever. The details on any given player cards are non-existent for the most part, and like a spoiled superstar player , this app doesn't care to answer any questions when they fail to perform.
Dont waste your time or money.

After looking at a card and its details, can you please let us press the set so we can see the other cards, just like on the website online?

Beckett is useless. A ton of prices are n/a and why have a picture feature if it doesn’t work. Most of the results come back with no picture available and the search by photo feature has been down for maintenance for over a week. What exactly are we paying for? All Beckett is currently good for is to organize which I can do for free in Excel or other apps. I won’t be renewing my subscription.

Monthly prices are way too high and lacking card prices. Not to mention the in-app purchases are extremely easy to authorize and there are no confirmations which make it easy to accidentally purchase. I contacted their support and received a sorry can’t help response when I sent in questions. Seems their support it outsourced.

I buy and sell various trading cards. This is a very quick and easy app to use! Updated with current market values! A++

Just paid $80 for a completely useless service and when I called, they tried to milk another $220 out of me. Found some of my old cards and wanted to look them up. They use acronyms in the sign up process and purposely confuse you if you’re not in the industry. This is definitely monotonous the same this app you used as a kid.

I tried using Beckett for a couple of hours and found it completely useless. No pictures were available and any info I needed required a monthly fee. I deleted it and found the information on the internet at no cost. Don’t bother downloading it.

Really needs a list option (no pics) like the printed price guides. If I have a bunch of 2015 Topps cards, I want to easily scroll through and see what might be of value.

Loading please wait for 5 mins and still hasn’t loaded. Every other page or app that I tried accessing has worked. Why is the one that I pay a small fortune for NOT work!!
