I have contacted the bank about my balance not being “live” but instead 2-3 days old. Deposit on Friday and it shows up on Monday from GermanAmerican . Use the debit card and the deduction shows up 24-48 hours later. Asked a bank employee and she was more concerned about which phone I had Apple or Samsung. Would love to give GermanAmerican more stars, but I can’t.

Withdrawals reflected from one account but never as a payment in the account that it matters. Has happened twice in past year and is still reflected inconsistently in spite of inquiry. Extra payments on HELOC as well as regular payments. Concerning. Raises questions that we shouldn't have.

I really miss the quick balance widget. It hadn’t been updated in forever because it wasn’t truly compatible even with the widgets in iOS 17, but with iOS 18, it’s completely gone.

Very frustrating! Locked me out before I could even start. They sent me about 3 difference pieces of mail containing 3 different pieces of login info. Very frustrating!

I’ve banked with German American for years, my local branch is great! I love being able to use GermanAmerican on my phone and have a constant accurate balance in my accounts. I am an iPhone user and there used to be a quick balance widget that I utilized all the time! After the recent iPhone update that widget is gone and I can’t find it anymore. That’s pretty disappointing that such a great feature was removed.

It is very annoying that each time you open GermanAmerican to make a deposit you have to rotate your phone for 15 to 30 seconds before you can actually start the photo process

Just moved and have recently started using GAB. GermanAmerican is very handy, just wish it had a little better UI and dark mode. Even my much smaller previous bank had dark mode on their mobile app!

Instead of using Face ID to log back in after leaving GermanAmerican , it tells you your session has expired. You have to hit okay, then log in, and then you get Face ID prompted. It’s kind of annoying hitting “Ok” to the prompt every single time I open GermanAmerican . Everyone who uses banking apps knows that sessions expire, my face doesn’t though, so just log me back in with my face without telling me my sessions expired in a prompt I have to dismiss before being able to see if I got the extra cash for McDonald’s.

The site is easy to get around and access. I can do pretty much and I could do on a desktop computer with my online banking. The Touch ID makes it super fast to check my account whenever I need to.

I love our German American mobile app bc I have access to my account 24/7 it’s so convenient

GermanAmerican is so user friendly and has simplified at home banking 100%. The only downside I have found is I miss seeing the sweet ladies at Holland Ind branch

GermanAmerican has not worked well for me. I have to uninstall and reinstall it several times per week to get it to work. Very frustrating!

The German American app is the simplest and most convenient app. Having the ability to deposit checks & check my account balances at all times of the day is awesome.

This is one the easiest Aps to use. Great detail, nice transfer ability and easy to pay bills, if you have bill pay. Great job!

They take many days to give you the balance and to show what you spend

I would give it a 5 stars but you can’t access your credit card from GermanAmerican

It tells me everything I need to know right away, and I love how you have to use the password to open GermanAmerican . I’m currently using an iPhone X and it works perfect with my Face ID. Great job everyone!

It’s just easy. I can find everything I need and quickly. I have other banking mobile apps and they don’t compare!
