OK. Glass half full, the updated app is faster than previous, but it comes at the cost of errors. And with errors, the user would expect support from the developers, but that isn't the case. They ignored (or delayed) their response to me multiple times about notification errors. They blamed me for not following directions but every single box was already checked and acknowledged. I took screen shots and sent to them. I followed all instructions to update and configure the settings. Still, CSmartClassifiedsFeeds wasn't sending me notifications like the old app did. Eventually, the developers stopped returning my emails. I know this sounds like I'm complaining, but I paid for the pro app and expected support that I paid for. This isn't the case with the new app. Sorry everyone. They aren't cutting the mustard with this update nor with their communication as well!

So suddenly CSmartpro (an app I already paid for pro) start bugging me to upgrade every single time I open it. Wow, thanks so much for the spam. So I download CSmartClassifiedsFeeds thinking it must be an improved version. Nothing could be further from the truth. It simply does not work. No search results. No browsing results. No nothing. It just does not connect with craigslist whatsoever. It doesn’t even try. You click search or browse and it immediately says no results, try expanding your search. Well it’s as expanded as much as it possible can be. The other app works well so why is this one a pile of 💩?
Don’t even bother wasting your time on this worthless app. I’m serious

As the title states new update can't even do a simple search without it freezing or crashing. CSmartClassifiedsFeeds was perfect before now it's junk. I have now deleted CSmartClassifiedsFeeds,no need to fix what wasn't broken just to screw the whole app.

Edit: redownloaded to newest version and still the same. Froze on start up, crashed on trying to click a search option. Easier to open safari and search the actual websites now. This is the only app I have had issues with and only after the newer more "improved" version. Was great now it's been deleted twice. Should have left a good thing alone developer. Won't be reloading this again.

Today I learned CSmartClassifiedsFeeds only shows a fraction of the posts that you can find on the Craigslist website!
I was doing work for a lady who thought I was deceiving her about the frequency of posts I've created for her. Because CSmartClassifiedsFeeds showed only a few ads per day, I decided to post every few days rather than each day.
What I found out today is since my last post 3 days ago, there have been 39 ads! Not 6, as it appeared to me! Arggh!
Don't I look stupid. I used the "contact us" option on CSmartClassifiedsFeeds but it routed to the actual Craigslist and not these app developers...making me look stupid once again.

So, you go to post an item for sale.
You select your location by slowly scrolling (why not type to scroll?!)...if you are in SF area, have fun.
Oops, you want to copy what you wrote in NextDoor, so you go to that app, copy what you wrote, go back to CSmartClassifiedsFeeds .... and start over!!! You didn’t close CSmartClassifiedsFeeds , but you end up at the beginning. Unless I don’t see the place to go or can’t decipher.. why? Why?!
Go through it all, including location scroll, get to the map for your location... and nowhere is there a place to proceed and SIMPLY post... the whole point.
Making things clear is not hard. Try it.

I like the apps basic functions, but it's a bit quirky when it comes to doing some searches. I think there should be a "select all" when looking for something nationwide instead you have to check off each state individually. Also sometimes your searches keep info from previous searches or makes it somewhat difficult to clear and start over - not difficult - maybe a bit confusing.

The search itself is great. Relatively quick too. My searches are mainly automotive related and I enjoy that you can do a nationwide search for a specific car or car parts.

CSmart is a very good app for CL users but needs tweaking to get some bugs worked out (after listing an item and Starring it, if you make changes to the ad it changes in the ad but not in the title for the thumbnail. I tried unstarring and restarring before and after making the changes but it seems to remember the original price and/or title. Even though it recalls the original info on the thumbnail if you go in the ad the corrected info is updated in the ad. It's more of an inconvenience for now until an update hopefully corrects this bug... PS, I run these on an iPhone and iPad)

I’ve been using this version for about a year. Only issue - on the map part. Once I positioned my place, the “Done” button is not visible anywhere on the iPhone screen. After getting frustrated and starting over many times... now I know you have to scroll down carefully without moving the map point and then find the Done button.

Saved searches by tittle or title and description within a specific category (or multiple) and a single region (or multiple).
Advanced search search operators like “-“ or quotes, etc work within it.
Restrict by price range or whether from a personal seller or dealer.
Get alerts in CSmartClassifiedsFeeds or via e-mail when things are found.
“Star” items you want to follow up on later... and many more power user features!

The only other thing i think would be useful to add would be a dual search function which would drastically cut down on search results and fine tune results. The feature would give me the ability to search for specific words in the title AND separately search for specific words in the description.

This is very useful for sorting out car dealers that tag their ads with all kinds of buzz or hot words meant to pull people in. Quite often those attached tag words have nothing to do with what they are selling. For private ads it allows allows me to search for example the word “lexus” in the title and “red interior” in the description.

I torn between telling the whole world about this secret weapon I have used to find and buy so many things on Craigslist for unbelievable prices, and keeping it to myself, but the developers deserve a great review for all the benefit I have gotten for my $3 purchase years ago.

CSmartClassifiedsFeeds lets you search for the things you want across multiple Craigslist areas, with an advanced search mode to exclude unwanted results and include alternative names. So if was searching for a bookshelf, I would type:
bookshelf|”book case”|bookcase|”book shelf”

This would find all the listings that use any of the four different ways of describing a bookshelf, but would exclude listings with only the words “book” or “case” by themselves, so I get many fewer listing that I don’t want to see.

It’s a great app, at any time I may have 20 searches I’m looking for going, and it notifies me of any new listing they match my criteria.

Highly recommended, and great work!

Now developers make a paid upgrade so I can send some more money your way and you keep this working forever.

Best Craigslist app I have used

So easy to select multiple locations and multiple sections within an area which saves me time looking for whatever item I want to locate

For Example:
I can select every single state in the United States if I want to
I also have the ability to select only certain states
And I have the ability to search certain cities within a particular state

You can also select multiple categories within Craigslist to search at the same time = so I can choose to search "garden" and "electronics" and "automobiles" and "pets" (if I want to), with or without using a keyword

My only problem is sometimes it freezes up while it's loading posts based on my search criteria and I have to close CSmartClassifiedsFeeds and start over

But hey, if that's my only complaint, and it is, well then CSmartClassifiedsFeeds has earned five stars from me

UPDATE: all of my saved presets and starred items were completely whipped and the initial major update a few weeks ago (June 2019) and I left a scathing review in CSmartClassifiedsFeeds store. HOWEVER since then CSmartClassifiedsFeeds has been updated almost every single day with bug fixes, usability repairs and restored user preference settings. Additionally a developer reached out to me to make sure my information was restored. Really impressed by how the developer addressed and remedied the situation.

I’ve used CSmartClassifiedsFeeds for several years for buying cars and tools across the West. This has been a great tool that works best on my iPad. I particularly like the features that allow me to find items by type, location and keyword and then sort. The notification feature has allowed me to be first-in-line when an item gets posted. Solid performance at a bargain price.

Update: App and saved searches are working again. Thanks.

Have updated the with all the fixes the past few weeks but still will no longer search for my custom searches. Was a great app but as of now it’s unusable. Just want to use my custom search template not a “popular template”. Will change star rating if you guys tell me how to fix it so I can get my custom searches to work.

If you had saved searches in the past they are still there!

You can restore access to them if you install a search template (a data source) that CSmart is able to migrate your old searches to. You can choose to install the popular templates from [Search > Find Templates Online].

Get CSmartClassifiedsFeeds. It’s very good. Tried other Craigslist search tools but deleted them. This is by far the best. Very clean search and display interface very much like the actual Craigslist. Other Craig’s apps either didn’t work, had terrible display, too many irritating “features” or limited function.
