IDEXX VetConnect Reviews

Being able to use IDEXXVetConnect to check things on the go and being away from a computer should be user friendly.
I need to be able to do that while doing other things quickly
Scrolling back through hundreds of results is not efficient.
No real use for IDEXXVetConnect without that.

All I have to ask is, Why? Are the lab results some secret information that only the bravest of us can access? Throw us a bone, keep us signed in or let my phone save the password. Been pretty disappointed in Idexx lately in general…

It’s the Labor Day holiday weekend, my own horse got sick Friday morning, I submitted samples Friday and all I can get from IDEXXVetConnect is that the lab hasn’t received samples. I’ve called and am pretty happy with the phone support but IDEXXVetConnect is a loser this weekend. I have to call on the phone to get any results.

Unreliable. Poorly defined DVM filters. Too frequently does not integrate well regarding Idexx labs and Cornerstone.

I have use IDEXXVetConnect every day of my practice career for the last six or seven years. I use it on the iPad that Idexx gave to me to use as a client communication tool.
A few days ago I installed the new update, and now IDEXXVetConnect is hopelessly useless. Some things that I would complain about are that normal ranges do not show next to the graph, it will not display in landscape mode, so the only previous test you can see are what will fit in portrait mode. You have to click to a different tab to see a summary of all previous tests, which is fine, but when you’re in portrait mode, you can only see two or three results at a time without scrolling.
When I contacted Idexx support about this, I was told that IDEXXVetConnect was only for the iPhone, and wouldn’t work on the iPad. Ironic that it’s working fine on the iPad that they gave me for just such a purpose until the update.
I just don’t see improve functionality on this, rather I see a decrease in usability. Please fix this!

IDEXXVetConnect was great before. Use friendly. Easy to isolate your patients and separate things.
New update has completely ruined the experience. Pending labwork is in the same column as done labwork. Very annoying. There is no option to leave IDEXXVetConnect logged in on your phone so it is constantly kicking you out. The notifications only work about half the time. I’m very displeased. I’ve gone back to just using the website because IDEXXVetConnect is more trouble than it’s worth.

IDEXXVetConnect WAS useful for looking at lab work results on the fly, especially when trying to keep tabs on time-sensitive cases. However, the rewrite is absolutely terrible and makes IDEXXVetConnect cause more trouble than it’s worth — a complete time waster.

No normal values. They used to be there. That are since removed. Why?!

Also, once opened from IDEXXVetConnect , the results cannot be marked as unread, which used to be handy to allow internal communication with the staff to ensure follow up communication with the doctors and clients.

App is slow, awkward, and very disappointing. No fix in sight after complaining about this immediately following the launch of the “new” app we were forced to download. Software is not Idexx’s strong suit.

New version did away with the search bar! One of the most important parts of IDEXXVetConnect . Also if I look at a test for one patient there is no way to see prior tests done on that patient. Old version had some minor issues but unfortunately this version is worse - please fix this your lab is awesome and always does an amazing job with everything, hopefully these bugs will be sorted out soon

“Improvements” on an app should not take away options. Prior to upgrades, IDEXXVetConnect gave you the ability to email clients directly results and document that communication for future reference. Since a few updates, that ability is gone and when you go to send the results you will only be able to send to your recent phone contacts. I’ve contacted support multiple times and zero response, multiple “updates” since then that do not include reinstalling this feature. Maybe there was a legal issue with sending through IDEXXVetConnect directly to clients, but I wouldn’t be able to speak to that because I’ve never had a callback to our clinic regarding this issue.

IDEXXVetConnect does a great job of showing the latest lab results. HOWEVER, withe the latest update, IDEXXVetConnect is now treating EVERY SINGLE test a given patient has EVER had in their LIFE as a brand new test result. Run a test on a 14 yr old patient and you'll have "brand new results" on every test they had between now and 2001. That means waking up to "63 new results" when you only submitted 6 labs. And I haven't found any way to mass unmark them so they stop showing up as new. One. At. A. Time. Or keep track of what the number of irrelevant new tests are so you know when real new ones arrive. Pretty sure I don't need to compare labs on my mobile device badly enough to deal with this bug. Frustrated.

IDEXXVetConnect was user friendly and intuitive prior to the newest update. It is now difficult to see prior lab results and hard to tell which tests are completed without going to different tabs. Also unable to mark a read test results as unread.

Before it displayed the complete vs the pending tests in two separate tabs. Now it’s all together , so if a test is pending for several days you have to scroll to see if these tests are still pending. We have twelve doctors in our practice, ‘all complete’ and ‘all in process’ is useless information, I only want to see my tests.

You used to be able to turn your phone to landscape view to see the results with the normal range and they took that away. Now you have to click on each individual result and then click on result values to see the range. Why????? They also took away the ability to search for a patient.

I can’t find a way to search for a specific patient. Also, I can’t find a way to view all tests submitted for a patient. So, if I find the CBC result, there is no obvious place to also see the FUO profile or culture that were submitted, without scrolling and just looking for it, since I cannot search. Please correct this.

There are certainly improvements in appearance and ease of viewing. Unfortunately the removed the integration with cornerstone so you cannot email the results to the client as you used to be able to do without knowing their email address. Search functionality was also removed which now makes IDEXXVetConnect less desireable. I agree with previous reviews about iPad functionality; app is not keeping pace with utilization of mobile devices.

Improvements have been made but I am still signed out every day and therefore do not get notifications. On newest iOS and app.

I love IDEXXVetConnect! It works smoothly and Consistently. That being said it would be helpful if there was a way to set all of the results to read or to be able to "star" or "flag" certain results to reflect back on at later times.

This does a good job of displaying recent Complete lab work. That brings up the first problem, if one of the submitted tests takes days, you won't see any evidence of your submission until ALL are complete. I guess you'll be revisiting the web interface anyway! Next, the web interface gives you all the nice trending data, guess they couldn't agree how to do that. Now if they could fix those problems...

Is there a possibility to have an updated version compatible with iPad and iPhone X, XS and big screens in general?

It will look more better than zoomed tiny displays.

Results in my back pocket while I chat up a client. The future is now
