How can you announce iOS 13 compatibility without testing Dark Mode??!! It’s a main feature of iOS 13 and miCal is COMPLETELY UNUSABLE in Dark Mode. There’s white text on white backgrounds everywhere. I can’t see what buttons do, when creating a new event and editing the start/end time I can’t see the date/time rollers AT ALL. They’re still present, I can manipulate them, but I have to guess at their location and their value. miCal is normally great but this update was really phoned in. Fire your tester that certified it was compatible with iOS 13 because they’re stealing from you.

The feature I used to love on miCal was the multiple reminders you can set for an event. Within the past few months though the reminders disappear at various later times.

For example: I set an event that’s 2 weeks out with 8 reminders and then save it. I look at the event later and all but one of the reminders have disappeared. The one remaining reminder is random (anywhere from 5 min to 3 days). I’ve nearly missed appointments due to this more recent flaw.

This used to be my favorite calendar app but I may need to switch to one that’s more reliable.

The calendar views and options are great. This is definitely better than most calendar apps, especially if you need a detailed month view. But, WHERE ARE THE NOTIFICATIONS? Notifications are turned on but do not work. Unless I’m missing something, you have to use the notifications from the stock calendar app. That creates unnecessary steps and makes miCal unusable. I contacted support and didn’t receive a response. Deleting until the notifications work.

I absolutely love this calendar app and I have been using it for years. I have encountered one of my first issues and it is driving me a little crazy...all of my birthdays are showing up on the list a day before the actual birthday. They are not that way in the calendar, but the list shows them that way and the reminder comes through that way. I am not sure what is going on and I’m hoping this can be fixed

miCal is on par with Fantastical 2 and for less than half the price. It's the natural language input, the multiple calendar views, the smart reminders inbox, the customizability, the MONTH VIEW widget, and more. It's so easy to use and so cheap, you won't regret buying it. The only thing it's missing is a view of the reminders in the widget and the natural language input doesn't seem to work for reminders?

I really loved the other version before this newest IOS update. But I use this more than any other app, it’s WAY better than the calendar that comes with your phone (the best feature is that you can add multiple alarms for events) - it will take some getting used to, I guess, since we never have a choice. I hate that all the apps we love have to keep changing. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it....

The iPhone calendar just didn't get there for me. I wanted a calendar where I could legibly see my entire month & all aptmts, similar to the monthly pocket calendar I'd used for over 30 years. this app not only has a full month view, but several other views to suit your need. The alerts are extremely customizable, where you can put in # of weeks, # of hours, & # of minutes. An aptmt can be copied when you make your next (Dr) aptmt, retaining all info incl the location map. The color each aptmt as it shows on the calendar is also extremely custom-izeable, with likely millions of color choices. So holidays show in 1 color, birthdays in another, Dr aptmts in yet another, etc. Too much to list everything. I've tried a number of other calendars - this app is the winner!

This calendar is indeed full featured and allows me to keep track of all my appointments and reminders extremely well. It's not entirely as intuitive as I would like, thus the four stars, but they keep making improvements.

ATTENTION DEVELOPERS!

I love being able to write or call directly to anyone whose name shows up with a birthday reminder, phone icon included right in the item bar. ***Why not include the same feature for any appointments that show the name of a person or business? THIS would earn an immediate five star upgrade!!!

Update 2021 - lost a few things with the recent update and found that there is no way to reach app support there website domain is down - Very disappointed.

I am also finding that in the widget section there are random events that are only showing up there and NOWHERE else. It’s very frustrating and APPLE said to contact customer support but they’re nowhere to be found in miCal.

Update 2019: still an amazing app
Will there be an option in the future to take pictures and add them to the notes section when scheduling an event? Would be helpful with birthday parties/invitations etc.

Have been a user for over 5 years - can't live without it! Colors are my savior since I'm a nurse, care giver & mother I can keep everything organized.

I’ve been using this app for years. Easy to link Google, Apple and other calendars to this app along with GameChanger etc. what I love the most about miCal is that, in the 30 day view, you can see the events for each day, whereas in the iPhone calendar, all you see are dots. you can also create labels that are private or for sharing, which I find extremely useful.

My only disappointment is that there is no laptop app, but once I figured out that this app can sync with the default calendar on my MacBook I was so happy! I've been using miCal for years and I love it. I loaded the moon calendar not realizing it was in German and couldn't figure out who "Vollmond" was and why we were meeting once a month. Other than that, no issues, no complaints. Highly recommend. 🤓👍

I use this app entirely because it has a great monthly view. Most of the alternative apps show you a month with dots under the days that have something to scheduled. This one shows you the actual things you have scheduled! It is great. I love that you can easily set the color of an event, to make some stand out or to show different types of events. It doesn’t search my contacts for locations the way the regular Apple calendar app does (that I can find, anyway), nor does it let me set travel time the same way as the Apple app. But I use it anyway because the display is the best there is. I have been able to move away from a paper pocket calendar because of miCal.

I use this calendar every day and it’s the best. Apples calendar is complete garbage and this one totally makes my iPhone useable for scheduling. I really hope they keep the updates coming. ***app is freezing. Lot with ios 16. Really hope they get miCal updated or I’m going to have to find something else.

I've loved this author's contacts app, Contaq, for a while, so it was a no-brainer to get this app.
this app covers all the bases —from natural language input to custom colors for events based on the title (e.g., any event with "party" in it is orange)— and then some. Outstanding interaction and visual design. Intuitive and simple to start out with… and as you use miCal more and more, you see how incredibly deep and thoughtful the interaction design is. A DELIGHT to use!!

I’ve use this app off and on for some time now. miCal is very intuitive and a pleasure to use. I really enjoy the various layouts, especially the one that shows a mini calendar, the current weather, your tasks list and of course your scheduled events on one screen. I can easily add a new task or event without too much effort.
Support is good as well. I recently had a question on setting the default layout on an iPad. The developer responded promptly and answered my question. I highly recommend this flexible calendar and task management app.

While in AL, I made several appointments that were to occur in OH. The states are in different time zones. I entered the time of the appointment but miCal automatically changed it to an hour later once we were in the state. I missed the first appointment and was baffled as to how that happened but fortunately figured it out BEFORE missing the next two appointments.

I then went to settings thinking I needed to change something and found nothing regarding time zones. Ridiculous feature...absolutely RIDICULOUS!!

Mi calendar has all my events and tasks all in one quick view. It has alarm reminders that can be set. The only reason I gave it a 4 was that when location is turned off I have to answer a question 3 times before it will let me get to my calendar Hopefully they will fix this soon

I have been using this calendar for years. Very user friendly, lots of options to organize anything and everything in your life. You can share calendars with different people and they can share back. I have a calendar just for me that I don’t share with anyone. I mostly have my medicine on there. I have a calendar just for the dogs that I share with my spouse. I have a calendar for the kids sports that I share with their aunts, uncles, and grandparents. I even made a money calendar to track when bills are due and when I get paid. Just try this, you won’t be sorry!

I've been using this app for years... It seamlessly syncs and the user interface is so very intuitive. I cannot imagine using any other calendar. I occasionally look at other calendar apps but have not seen any approaching the sophistication of this app.

I’ve been using miCal for years and after the recent IOS update I am not able to add my cal to the privacy settings to allow access to my calendars. It doesn’t show up at all. Tried to click on app support and nothing comes up. Can’t seem to find out how to mail anyone. PLEASE HELP! I don’t want to use another calendar app.
