MetaMoJiNoteLite should be taken off Apple. In my opinion it’s a fraud. They are no longer supporting it yet they are taking your money.

I believe that there is a big bug with MetaMoJiNoteLite . When I switched two opening files, it crashed. Then I had to reopen it, and what I found is ALL new update notes and pages I added in one file disappear although the auto Sync is on. The technical support web is unavailable, so is there someone can help?

I would use MetaMoJiNoteLite, but after creating an account and signing in, it was not accessible to VoiceOver. The buttons that spoke only said button. Some things were skipped over.

MetaMoJiNoteLite really could be amazing. I first started using it like 7 or so years ago. So this review is very long coming. lol be used it on and off mostly because taking notes smoothly is really difficult. When I first started using it, I was using it to take hand written digits notes (paper is just annoying) during school lectures. I first downloaded on the very first Microsoft surface that was produced, with one of those basic rubber stylus pens. I found often that MetaMoJiNoteLite would freeze, and not respond to the pen or my touch. This makes if really hard to take notes without having to stop. And I often missed things the Professor would say because I was fighting with MetaMoJiNoteLite to respond to me. I figured that it was because of my older Microsoft tablet model and the basic stylus pen that I was using. Now, 7 years later, I have an iPad Pro and am using an Apple Pencil, yet the same problem. If freezes, stops responding to the pen/ my fingers, and continues to glitch out. Notes that should take me no time at all, end up taking me hours... I love a lot of the features it has like the organization of notes, cloud uploading, the different pen and font options, easy to add documents and photos into my notes, pdf, jpg exports, ability to save drawn things or images as items (comes in handy when you have to keep drawing graphs) etc. but the usability is horrendous, and is enough to make me drop MetaMoJiNoteLite all together the moment that I find another one with just as great features and smooth usability. To have the exact same problem after 7 years I think is inexcusable, and blatant negligence of consumer needs.

I have been using MetaMoJiNoteLite for years now, I use it to draw often. However, my biggest problem with it is that it will constantly crash, and many pages I’ve done will disappear, never to be recovered. Even with its cloud, it still misses many pages. I have reached my limit when recently I had 533 pages, which is over two years, of artwork I had done, and it erased 351 of them, leaving me with 182. That is completely awful, and I refuse to use MetaMoJiNoteLite anymore. I am sticking to hand drawn work now. Thank you for the years of agony, Metamoji. May we never meet again. P.S. fix this issue as soon as you can and stop crashing. You’ve last updated a year ago. Why not now?

I just opened MetaMoJiNoteLite on my iPad Pro and it looks very small, and then I realized it hasn’t been updated in 2 years.

it’s free, which is awesome, but some features lack more than others. that so-called lazer feature isn’t there and the zooming in and out has never been more of a hassle. it works, but it’s not that good. I like the calligraphy pen, the type of “paper”, sand the whole website feature but that’s probably it.

A good app, very simple, useful, yet extremely outdated at this point and is begging for an update since iPhone X. Yes, it’s been four long years. We would like an update please. We use MetaMoJiNoteLite for business but may be forced to move elsewhere.

Hi! So I LOVE MetaMoji Note Lite. But it’s really, really limited. There’s barely any colors, there’s only two pens and there’s no option to get no ads. I really love it and it’s great for school and just general purposes, but please continue to update MetaMoJiNoteLite.

I love it! Using it for all my engineering homework this quarter and my TAs duly appreciate it.

Writing: A+
All the drawing tools work flawlessly. Wonderful resolution and low latency.

Importing: B+
Easy to import, crop, and then write over pictures... As long as they're saved on your iPad. I am primarily a Google Drive user and it's annoying to have to download my photo to the iPad first. Wish I could import .pdf... Looks like the paid version allows it - I'm about to buy!

Quick options to email as attachment or upload to Google Drive. B rating because the emailing doesn't always work, and thus once made me late submitting an assignment...

There are many apps out there which enable you to both handwrite and type. I do have and use other ones, but this one’s the best for the usage of taking notes in class. Here’s why IMO:

You want an app that allows you to type most of the time (b/c professors tend to talk quickly, so typing is much faster than writing), but switch to and from the handwriting ability without much lag (for when your professor draws something, or you need to diagram/draw something to make it really stick). You also want the ability to type anywhere your finger or stylus presses on the “paper.” Basically, the lack of lag when using MetaMoJiNoteLite is a big reason I’d recommend it for class, and the speed and ease by which you can switch between handwriting and typing (don’t want to fumble too much when your professor quickly draws something, then goes right back to talking really quickly).

Best of all, the free version of MetaMoJiNoteLite has enough features that you don’t need to purchase the paid version right away; just email the notes to yourself right after you finish a lecture to “back them up.” However, I do really like MetaMoJiNoteLite , so when the paid version goes on sale, I will consider buying it as a show of thanks.

As a undergrad student, MetaMoJiNoteLite is perfect for me. I’ve used it for many classes and is the best note taking that I’ve ever used. Highly recommend.

Great app, many uses. It is a skill writing on your touch screen which takes practice like anything. Syncing is quick and free. Underrated.

This is my favorite free note taking app. I don’t really mind the ads, and it is overall a very good app. I love the feature where you can put your wrist on the screen and it won’t write anything.

It has a lot of great features, the lasso tool, adding text, pictures, items, different kinds of page formats you can use, notebook covers or you can customize your own, and etc. It’s really amazing, BUT to make it even better there needs to be share screen option, and it has to be available on Mac. If those could be added to MetaMoJiNoteLite , then it is the perfect free app.
