First, it’s annoying enough that you have to sign up with an email in addition to your mobile number, when the latter should be enough. Second, HotSpotParkingTransitTaxis requires you to enter your CC by hand — no scanning or auto filling is allowed. Third, requiring preloading funds instead of charging per session is even more awful. But charging a “membership fee” on top of all that? Sorry, I’m taking my 30 minutes free parking and feeding the meter instead.

As others have said, your are REQUIRED to pay $2 a month ($24/yr) as a “membership” fee and this is BEFORE you can even add a MINIMUM of $10 to their “wallet”. So paying $2 for 2 hours of parking will require you to add 10 bucks to HotSpotParkingTransitTaxis and then pay $2 per month there after. Basically you pay $10 for 2 hours of parking (5x what it the actual price). HotSpotParkingTransitTaxis is garbage. Do yourself a favor and skip the hassle and HotSpotParkingTransitTaxis.

Spent 20 minutes downloading and entering information only to find out I would be paying $2.00/mo or $20/yr for the privilege of using HotSpotParkingTransitTaxis. Perhaps if you live in a city where HotSpotParkingTransitTaxis is used, you may find it convenient to have it, but it’s a bad deal unless you are using it several times a week.

There is no good reason at all to require a “wallet” where money is added in $10 increments. This is nothing more than a money grab. HotSpotParkingTransitTaxis developers must be paying off some government officials, else there is no good reason why HotSpotParkingTransitTaxis should be used by the municipalities that have adopted it.

No thank you. I’m visiting Peterborough for an afternoon. Its crazy to ask me to load funds to a wallet in order to pay for parking. I will never be able to utilize the funds (min $10) as there is a two-hour parking limit and parking is $1/hr. Shame on your app for not allowing Apple Pay for an exact amount.

HotSpotParkingTransitTaxis is very unclear for new users. Due to its vague process with little instructions, I ended up getting a ticket. I had to search around to finally understand how to add time to my parking meter but only realized it needed to be done after getting the ticket. Save yourself the headache and load up on quarters at the bank.

This is crazy for someone driving through to park once. Also takes like 15 minutes to enter all the requested information instead of just letting you pay.

What an unbelievable ripoff. We are visiting Nova Scotia for a few days. To pay for parking, you need to pay a “membership” fee and then you can only buy a minimum of $10 for parking. That is a joke. I’d rather pay to park in a garage. No other parking app required so many silly nickel and dime fees to buy $1.50 worth of parking. No thanks.

At least 2$ worth of hidden fees, and does NOT allow you to extend your parking session remotely. You’re better off paying with coins.
