So far I’ve enjoyed the use of the this app. I like the convenience of being able to turn lights on and off, as well as adjusting my thermostats (up and down stairs) without being at home.

Downside is sometimes I have to adjust the AC twice before it actually accepts the change. Or every now and then all of my lights will start turning on as if they are on a schedule daily.

Didn’t even work...

This product doesn’t work. I was given this product from my energy company. I never worked up the nerve to try to put it together and so it stayed unopened in the box for a year or so but amidst this time of quarantine I decided to put it together. I started off plugging in it as Hive instructed it blinks green. I thought that showed some promise so I plugged in the Ethernet cable into my router and the green light continued to blink. I decided to type in my hub ID and all I got for the next hour was... sorry we can’t find you HUB. Wow! I mean really?! I have 2 door sensors, 2 color changing light bulbs and an active plug that are just left to rot because the this app is crappy! I don’t know if it’s Hive or the product, but a pointer to whoever runs this company your product is supposed to WORK!

Glitchy

Worked great at first but now the air and/or heat doesn't kick on when it's supposed to. For instance, I'll have set the temp to 72 for the air con. I'll notice that it feels warm. I check Hive and it'll indicate the temp at a degree or two higher, but no air. The air will THEN kick on, as if opening Hive triggered it to finally work. Then I'll feel the air con but it won't be indicated within Hive . Not good when setting a temperature doesn't actually work. This is a recurring problem and I only decided to write a review after it'd been going on for over a month now. Sadly, I feel like perhaps I should have spent a bit more for another more popular brand that was recommended to me...

Not able to login on the app

I have been having trouble using Hive since yesterday. Looks like a new version was updated and evidently it affected being able to login or use Hive to control your lights. I have Alexa and I’m able to use her to turn my lights on or off up or down but I’m not able to use Hive . It says “ooops there’s been an error trying to log in to your account try again.

Apple Watch App needs some improvement

I love this app. Everything is so easy to set up and even my dad likes it and he hates technology. Hive is user friendly and easy to use. Just one thing, I think you should make some improvement to the Apple Watch app because some of the data that it gives you, isn’t accurate. That’s only like 40% of the time. But the controls work perfectly fine. I’m giving you guys 5 stars everyday.

I meant it ain't bad

I like Hive , very some and easy to use. My only flaw without is that it seems I can't watch my camera live feed if I'm not connected to WiFi. I don't see the point in having a camera if I can only use it while I'm at home.

Silly issues easily modified through software

this app switches time for no reason with no user end opportunity to modify time. Interface in software is non intuitive with heat pump settings not explained. Customer service for the most part is responsive. this app needs to rewrite the heat pump section of the software/manual and give the user more options like changing the time and date, login information. Personal information is required which seems intrusive.

No Notifications

Not getting notifications at all on iPhone even though I used to get them. Followed all this app instructions, all notifications are turned on in Hive and still nothing.
this app’s response? “ If all of this is correct but your phone still fails to receive a notification you will still get this activity captured in a recording so you can check it from your this app app.”
This is NOT a solution! I was planning on adding more cameras but after this, looking elsewhere!

App no longer works

Just updated Hive to the latest version and it didn’t remember my hub device. Tried to add my device again but Hive doesn’t recognize the ID (yes, it was correct)! The customer service is only available for a few hours a day and they don’t specify what time zone they’re in, so I have no idea when I can contact them! It’s also frustrating that they don’t give me the option to just email a representative. Why not?!

Can’t control thermostat with app anymore

My AC/Heater has been wacky for the past fee days. I’ve tried adjusting it with my app to no avail. I’ve tried adjusting it manually to no avail. I tried updating my app to see if that would help— nothing. As I’m trouble shooting it, I found on their website that they whole thing has been discontinued and that Hive no longer works?? This is ridiculous!!

Works good on iPhone. But not on Apple Watch

What’s good on my phone. But when I try to use my Apple Watch it will freeze and crash. My get luck to turn a light on. But if your not home and u try to use Hive on the watch. Mostly like it won’t turn the light on even tho is shows it’s on.

Schedule throwing NaNs

I cannot use the schedule feature on the thermostat because it keeps adding several time slots at the end of the day. These time slots show "NaN" for the temperature and I cannot override the temperature. I also cannot delete these time slots for some reason. When I reset to the default times and then turn from manual control to scheduled, all of the bogus time slots and NaNs reappear.

Terrible Company

Give has decided to drop all North American support which has bricked any online functionality in the states. Instead of just letting us continue to connect to our devices over WiFi they intentionally locked us all out. Now any NA user will just end up throwing these things out, gotta love more E-waste!

Works well

Hive does everything I expected and works well. I was disappointed that the camera app has to work separately, it would have been nice if all this app sensors were integrated into a single app but it’s only a minor inconvenience.

Slow!

It’s a clumsy App. Slow to load, sometimes it sends notifications and sometimes not!
The schedule is weird too, no option to operate
all the time as a default! You have to pickup the weird times and/or choices given!

Works great, everything is seamless.

Love the one app ecosystem. I can see all my devices from the home scree. The Actions feature works great, my outdoor lights are triggered at dusk and dawn—so cool.

Schedules are a nightmare

Hive constantly freezes when trying to change the schedules. I cannot copy from one day to the next because it goes back to the default schedule for all days. Very frustrating

Even with your latest update 21/3, Hive doesn’t function perfectly under 13.4 lock screen. You must unlock before issuing a quick action request via Siri.

Total rubbish hub, on my 2nd hub now and this one only been on 1 year and now not connecting or recognised, same issue as last one. Don`t waste your money, get a cheaper one on Amazon much easier to set up
