Question

How do you add friends on NPSParksApp ??

Some info but seems designed to sell its products

Try searching for attractions at Yellowstone and it takes over the screen to sell you a tour for $395 and pushes it by saying “availability limited”. Don’t want guides that are just trying to sell me the developers services

Blank (no content)

Why do I see nothing? Each section has headers, but no content below that. Just a blank white section ... Does NPSParksApp require "geo-tagging" not available on the iPod Touch?

Wish it were better

Crashes and freezes frequently - does not geolocate and would be nice of it were interactive and more informative. Could also include National Monuments and more. Basically a map of NP

Needs improvement

Preplanning your trip months in advance doesn’t seem to work. NPSParksApp only registers activities to see & do near you. I was trying to plan a trip to another state.

Too much

I only want to keep track of which National Parks I have visited, not monuments. It runs very slow.

Maps don't work

All I wanted the Ap to do was show me interactive maps but each time I tap on maps it quits the Ap.

I also wanted to use it to find out about Yosemite but all I could get it to do was help me build a check list of things I could see there before it would give me any kind of overall context of what to look for or do there. It reminds me of a lot of other Aps where you pretty much have to know what you want without the Ap in order to have it help you with things you already know. And I get the impression that I could spend more time figuring out how to use it than I'll spend hiking there.

Trip dates don’t sync correctly

After saving my trip dates and activities the listing of my trip on Upcoming Trips has the dates beginning the day before and ending a day early. Trip start is the 17th, Upcoming Trips has it start on the 16th. Kinda confusing.

Missing important site(s), like Monticello!!

Missing important site(s), like Monticello!! And, Add feature doesn’t do anything.

So so

Can't provide feedback from NPSParksApp errors out every time

Maps aren't clickable for the parks

Can't turn on use my location later

On wifi still kinda slow to load

Pics beautiful

Like tab options

Have to pay to get all features

Can't find a complete list of the parks

Needs some improvement

NPSParksApp has promise but is incredibly rough. My biggest frustration with it centers on the automatic, non-optional, refresh every blasted time I change screens. NPSParksApp is apparently intended for use in national parks which don't have data or cell service most of the time. An option to cache or save ALL data locally required for a trip would be earn this another star.

Freezes a lot but awesome app!

Love it!! Already made my bucket list!

This version is better than the last one.

I'm grateful that is new version is out, as it is much more workable than the last one. I appreciate a way to track what we've seen and what we have yet to see. The information concerning each site is always helpful. And, the what's near me flag helps us to make certain that we aren't passing up something that appeals to us.

Like this app, but has a lot of room for improvement

So far I have found this good as an inventory of places I've been and some places I want to go. I do find the data focus limited and not really great for trip planning (application focus vs information focus).

Trip planing made easy

Planing to go NW this Aug/Sept and NPSParksApp has almost all the info. needed to plan a successful trip.

Too many plus good

Demasiado bueno

So Many Parks!

I love to hike so NPSParksApp is helpful when checking out all the great hikes around the U.S. I've added quite a few to my "to do" list and can't wait to tackle them all.

Recommended by Park Ranger

A very simple and easy to use app that links directions to the sites using Apple Maps. It also has a fun way of checking off sites you have been to.

Thanks

Very well documented thanks

Lots of great ideas

Love just getting on NPSParksApp and quickly finding places to eat, landmarks and easy hikes. Takes the guess work out of finding all the hot spots.

Garbage

Doesn't work as advertised, checks places off on its own and just looking at NPSParksApp will give you a headache due to its horrible set up.

National Parks rule

Nice app
