You can’t do anything in SITREP besides look at headlines, unless you pay $10 per month. Don’t waste your money paying for publicly available information. X has more reliable, real-time news if you’re looking for open source intelligence.

This initially helped us see everything going on worldwide, putting the information we needed all in one place so we could prioritize events for discussion, but In the this app reports, we received frequent inaccuracies, some small, some large (such as referring to certain well known government officials by incorrect title or position on more than one occasion). Additionally, my group (consisting of Democrats and Republicans alike) seemed to agree, the information we were receiving tended to have a significant amount of political bias, both in the information provided and analysis. We could care less if you lean left or right. We rely on facts and information only. We don’t care about politics or agendas. This was an interesting concept but it seems to have missed the mark. Subscription cancelled.

SITREP is a cool idea. It’s a little slow. The updates all seem to be sourced from mainstream news unlike its claim to also source from social media channels. The use of AI is excessive and becomes repetitive quickly. The same bad prompts lead to paragraphs and paragraphs of useless text. The historical context which is also generated by AI doesn’t seem to include recent history so they’re using a model that doesn’t consume the very breaking news they claim to support. It would at least be much better with Grok as a backend because the historical analysis is always out of context. I think $10 is prob too much monthly even if everything was fixed.

SITREP is just okay, certainly not worth the 9.99 they want to charge monthly. It’s just AI generated bullet points. No depth, no analysis, no links or sources either. Maybe it will improve in the future, but until then, certainly not worth paying monthly. Maybe at 1-2 bucks a month this would be cool.

As someone who has been getting into the realm of open source intel, SITREP and its interface are phenomenal.

However, I personally believe one of the major aspects of open source are, the source themselves and credibility. If sources were included in briefings, I think it would go a long way to validate the credibility of SITREP and would give more confidence to the consumer.

If there were cited sources, I would have no problem paying the monthly subscription, as again the format and interface are miles ahead of anyone else.

Pretty good, although, as a student, I wish you could read at least a couple sentences after opening the alert without paying. Would be 5 stars

Love the application and what it provides, however if you’re going to be an AI Aggregator for OSINT, please provide sources. It is irresponsible to not to.

SITREP prompts you to pay every time you open it, and basic features require payment.

Congrats Artorias on a good launch to a promising product.

This is a great tool for ensuring you are immediately informed of developments around the world.

However, there are some key issues that prevent this from scoring higher:

1. No sources. This is the big one. It’s not excusable to not have sources to click on to read more on each story or verify that a headline is accurate.

2. Missing locations. Some smaller countries (all seem to be island countries in the Caribbean and pacific) don’t currently have intel feeds. But there is still news about these places and a worldwide intel app really needs to have a way of viewing news developments from all UN member states.

3. Impact assessment. Right now, too many things are classified as High Impact. This may sound cruel, but every time an airstrike is conducted in a war zone (ie Israel/Palestine, Ukraine, Yemen) it should not be counted as High Impact. Currently, major strategic developments are crowded out on the High Impact screen by these lower level tactical developments.

If these issues are fixed, ESPECIALLY THE SOURCES ONE, then this review would be 5 stars.

Great app for tracking geopolitics, news, and pretty much anything. I really like the fact you can make a watchlist and can search for topics.

Simply put, nothing like this is available for such a low price.

SITREP is absolutely amazing, keeps me up to date on every conflict from every single country on earth.

I like it, and it’s not one of those intrusive apps scraping all kinds of your data off your device either.

Hard to articulate just how fast, fresh, and curated the alerts feel. this app was alerting on events far before I saw them hit the major news wires…a huge life saver for anyone in the threat detection and mitigation world!

I actually don’t want my competitors to know how good SITREP is, because I think it confers instant advantage over other firms in my field.

SITREP is like nothing I’ve ever seen before and well worth the price. Unbiased, fact and data based news feeds. Totally unique.

I really would like some option around seeing the sources. Additionally down the line it would be cool if there was maybe a different way to view the daily briefing in a more concise manner.

This site is phenomenal.. wow… real time otg intel… and verifiable..
