This is the most annoying app I have ever downloaded in my entire life. Despite not being mentioned in the description, you do have to pay a subscription for all of the features, aside from recipes. Recipes are the only thing you can access free. At first, it appears like you can use it without a subscription, but everything you click on results in a pop-up, trying to force you into the sub subscription. Apparently the developer does not understand that there has to be something I love about Loaflo for me to want to try out the upgraded features. But overall, it’s absolutely annoying. The pop-up that comes up has a little countdown, and you must look at the premium upgrade until it counts all the way down. You cannot just close it immediately. And it persistently pops up. I can get recipes on the Internet. There’s absolutely no reason to use Loaflo. And if there’s no reason to use it, there’s definitely no reason to upgrade.

Loaflo came highly recommended, and I was excited to use it to help perfect my craft.

Unfortunately even after paying for the subscription nothing it working. I cannot chat with the bot, I cannot scan my bread or upload a picture.

Very disappointing and I’m not sure how to get my money back

Loaflo is not free! I was only able to use it once. When I just tried, it is making me sign up for the subscription. 😡

I scanned 3 different moldy starters and it rated 2 of them pretty high and the one that it rated low was only from a lack of visible bubbles. All 3 were different starters from different people and clear pictures.

You get one single scan, everything else is locked behind paywalls. The feedback would be great if I could actually compare the before/after.

When I scan, it says that I have invalid credit. I paid the subscription amount and it says that I have access to all of the premium capabilities. I can’t find anywhere on your app. To fix this problem please help.

I understand that in 2025 everything is subscription based now but for an app that is just supposed to tell me if my starter is alive or not is kind of ridiculous. I should t have to pay for taking a picture of something.. I can just as easily look it up online. If the subscription portion was tied to being able to utilize the journal or other parts of Loaflo I could understand that.. but the whole point of Loaflo (at least to my knowledge) is to be able to scan your starter and that’s it. It should be free because there are a ton of free apps that let you scan all types of things without subscribing.

Paid for it to tell me the same thing every single time I scanned anything. Bought it to help me, and it did nothing. Not worth it.

Loaflo requires a paid subscription, it’s cheap enough so I tried it. For a month straight it said the exact same thing every single time I scanned starter vs discard jar (they look completely different on top). Every loaf was the same score and description. I believe someone started Loaflo as a money grab with little to no knowledge regarding sourdough. Disappointing to say the least, waste of money to say the most. Use google images for free or chat got FOR FREE

The idea is interesting, but there’s no free trial. At least a few days of free trial would be great to see how Loaflo works. And without paid subscription Loaflo allows you to upload only one photo. lol

Please include metric weight measurements in the recipes.

I love Loaflo and use it all the time. Unfortunately, my starter died when I was on vacation.. Now that I have a new starter going, I’m trying to use it again, it’s not able to scan pictures. I tried to do the chat to see if I could get some help, but it doesn’t answer me. I do pay for Loaflo so if it no longer is gonna be able to scan pictures, I’d like to find out about canceling my subscription

I was excited about Loaflo and scanned my starter not realizing I only get 1 free scan. How do I know if I want to pay for it if that’s all I get to try. Pretty disappointed!

Loaflo cool but if you have celiac’s, theres no gluten free settings in the scan section to give you the fully complete diagnosis of your own gf sourdough starter. Loaflo is still helpful but I kinda feel like I wasted my money since I got Loaflo to help me with my first starter in the first place to see if I’m doing ok with it.

Really helpful for anyone who’s into sourdough. All the calculators and recipes are great. The journal is super helpful for me personally. Great app!

I’ve been looking for an app like this. Finally landed on this one and sticking with it. Sourdough is a science and an art. This helps so much

I found Loaflo through TikTok and downloaded it and even got a free subscription. Definitely think this is great to help track my starter because I’m still kind of new to baking sourdough. It’s really fun easy to use. I definitely recommend it.

I've been making sourdough for years but Loaflo is a game changer. And so is their customer service. I was having an issue and they were prompt in fixing it and letting me know they fixed it. Now my loaves 10/10 every time
