I have to say, I’m extremely impressed. I’ve been out of therapy for a while now, mostly because I can’t afford it. I still plan to go back at some point, but I’ve been struggling with my OCD for so long on my own now that I need support.
I’ve been using my personalised ChatGPT in crisis moments up until now, and it’s been somewhat helpful, but after just one conversation with this I can tell it’s leaps ahead as an OCD aid. The natural flow of conversation, the level of empathy it provides and the way it targets and breaks down problems is amazing. I truly feel like I’m in a therapy session. I think this will be an amazing tool even in therapy, which I really hope therapists would recommend to their patients. The gaps in between sessions can make it really difficult to stay on track and even manage crisis moments when the therapist is out of reach and I think it would make ERP so much more effective. Even when I do go back to therapy, I’d still use this. I’ll be keeping an eye out for any unhelpful responses, and if I do spot them I’d be sure to contact the team.
Honestly, thank you for this. I’ve been losing a lot of hope lately, and having something like this will help keep me on track and get me back into therapy eventually.
I know Choiceful is still in beta, I’d love to know if there are any plans to develop Choiceful further and add more features besides the SOS chat. One important thing I notice it’s lacking at the moment is a chat log. I want to be able to return to a previous conversation, read through it again and even continue it at a later time.
Major kudos, I can’t wait to see how Choiceful grows!
