If you don’t subscribe, FeatherSnapCam shows a daily, full-screen ad pushing you to sign up. You have to dismiss the ad before seeing your new photos. Once dismissed, a large ad sits permanently at the top of your photo grid. For perspective, on my iPhone, there is room for only one row of photos at the bottom edge of the display due to the ad. I contacted customer support seeking an option to disable either ad, and they said there is no planned option. Humorously, they said the ads were “to provide easy access for users who may wish to purchase a plan”. I recommend you buy a competing brand of bird feeder, of which there are multiple.
I love the bird feeder and all the activity but FeatherSnapCam is not good. I paired it as soon as I got it and immediately it said, “error”, however it did pair with my phone and internet. I tried to select a plan and add my card, “Error”! I tried to contact the company but you do not have the option to tell them about the error. I really wish it worked, so if you buy this item, you are really getting an expensive bird feeder where no one wants to help you. I already have feeders before this one.
I’m loving the quality of the pictures but can’t keep up with going through them to sort or delete or enjoy. Every time you save some snaps, the main page takes you back to the top of the page and I have to find where I left off going through the pictures and it’s an active feeder!
There needs to be filters to be more user friendly with dates or something so I can go back to the day I was looking through. Or after saving snaps, it takes me back to where I left off. You can’t go more than a day of not looking at them before it’s overwhelming to go through.
I adore my bird feeder. I’d love to be able to add a snap to my bird book and return where I left off while going through my snaps for the day. I have about 400 to go through and after adding one to my bird book, it takes me all the way back to the top of my snaps. I also save videos based on snaps and it never includes the images in the snaps in the videos.
Easy to set up and the pictures are absolutely wonderful. A must have for a bird enthusiast!
The photos are super high definition and the camera catches nearly everything
The setup was super easy and the pictures came in really clear! The only issue I had was all the squirrels came back and cleaned out the feeder!

This has been an awesome feeder for my son and I to learn about our local birds in FL. FeatherSnapCam is very easy to use and setup also easy. Has been out for about a month now and battery is still holding strong.
Easy to use app, amazing picture and video, awesome design, long battery life and a super fun bird feeder/camera to have! I look forward to seeing what shows up on my FeatherSnap every day!
How awesome is it to see the different types of birds in your yard, farm or homestead. 150’ range you may even get other animals you didn’t know were around , had quality and hard to beat options

The FeatherSnap App, is a fantastic companion for the smart camera feeder! I love how easy it was to set up and start using right away. My favorite feature is the Bird Book, which allows you to store your photos and create a collection of bird sightings with the “snaps” that are taken at your feeder. You can also earn badges such as “first snap” and “first bird book log” which I got right away after my first bird was recorded at my feeder. It’s so interactive and engaging. I really enjoy getting alerts directly to my phone and being able to share my high quality photos and videos with my friends and family.
I haven’t ever been overly interesting in bird watching before, but after having this feeder for a few months, its a new hobby! Trying different bird feeds to see what they attract, watching the birds change through the seasons, and saving the images to look at later is so much fun. The camera quality is great and FeatherSnapCam has some fun features like badges you can earn to show your progress :) The feeder itself may be a little pricey for some, but it’s so worth it for the experience.
I’ve used a few apps similar to this for other WiFi enabled bird feeders and this one is by far the most intuitive and feature-rich. The images and videos are crisp and clear, the AI is really accurate, and the badges make it so fun to get more birds to your feeder. A great companion to the FeatherSnap feeder.
I just received this bird feeder as Christmas gift. It works really well. It took a few days for the birds to come. I can see the feeder anytime on my phone or IPad while I sitting inside the house. Pictures are clear and good. And you can download the picture if you want. There is also a live feed view, so you can watch and hear the birds. Very nice app. And feeder.
Watching the birds was what I enjoyed the most, now I can watch them live with a camera while the birds are eating from the feeder, it constantly changes itself with solar energy and the feed chamber has an easy to open structure, which allows me to fill it easily when the feed is finished. My kids are favorites they want to look at photos of birds that come to the feeder everyday

Fantastic app, I use in conjunction with Merlin to help identify birds the AI hasn’t learned yet. Hopefully the devs will continue to add birds to their database, like the Flycatcher and Phoebe. It would be great to have a zoom/crop ability when saving snaps to bird albums. The birds would be ‘full size’ when viewing thumbnail pics in each album. For most pics, you need to zoom in to see details, and have to do it on each pic. A zoom/crop/save feature would put FeatherSnapCam over the top, thx!
I was a bit skeptical at first but after using the feeder and app, the entire experience has been wonderful! Pictures and videos are clear and the camera sends both to FeatherSnapCam within seconds. I can receive a notification at home and now have the chance to look out the window to see the birds actively eating. I can also use the live feed and watch up close when there’s a visitor.
Highly recommend FeatherSnap to anyone!
