Black Rock Coffee Bar App Reviews

They dropped my order off at the wrong location, didn’t respond to my text after, and on a call I got a refund but no free coffee voucher back, so that was cool.

Black Rock has been in business for a few years when I lived in Texas and just now came out with an app. Ironically, when Black Rock tries to do something innovative, I lose all the points I’ve accumulated which is egregiously frustrating because the product is good but the system isn’t and it’s happened twice. Black Rock needs to reach out to whomever developed Dutch Bros app and pay them to update the UI.

This is probably the biggest L of blackrock, no where close to being a net positive.

1st issue - it use to be 10 purchases(did not depend on what size you purchased) would get you any size drink free, that has changed and cost you double for “any size” drink via BlackRockCoffeeBarApp

2nd issue - your “bolts” expire after 180 days(before BlackRockCoffeeBarApp your drinks would never expire)

3rd issue - lots of cases free drinks do not transfer over to BlackRockCoffeeBarApp using your phone #

BlackRockCoffeeBarApp is more of a way for the company to squeeze every penny out of you to make sure you keep coming back.

I know people that have lost over 25+ drinks because of this switch, I’ve personally lost 3 that I yet been compensate for.

Why make your system so complicated to understand, ooooo my “bolts” are about to expire let me get my calculator out to figure out how many I need for a free drink🤓! Simple BR use 1-10 points.

I’ve spend well over $1000 on YOUR coffee and this is how you repay long term customers, by providing a half baked app that was created to scam us and increase your cash flow. Give me a break, I would much rather go to Country Coffee than support this hot trash.

I wonder if BR will respond to this, probably not…

I used to love BlackRock but the environment and quality has changed a lot in the last 2 years. I noticed this especially after they changed their system and app. I went in to get a free coffee after my app “stamp card” was full. When I went in, the employee told me that they changed their app. That was a little weird but didn’t bug me in the moment so I just downloaded the new app and made my order. I asked if they would convert the points to the new app so I could get the free drink. They “converted” the points and then told me that I would have to get 2 more orders before I get a free one. I immediately showed them the previous app and how it told me that I have a free coffee. The part that hit me the most was not the money or the benefits that I lost. After I showed the employee the issue, they just looked at me with a cold face and said “nope the new app says you need to buy 2 more”. This shows a lack of honesty and integrity from BlackRock overall, not just that, but also the quality of the service. This wasn’t just a one time that the service seemed depleted. It doesn’t feel as friendly anymore like it used to. It’s a bummer for sure.

You earn points much slower, ordering ahead of time does nothing because the baristas only make your drinks when you get there, and I can’t use the weekly discounts they offer so I have to order and pay anyways when I get there.

Please have some form or way to get a manager to permanently verify an account if their eligible or promo. Like student/staff discount.

Blackrock changed BlackRockCoffeeBarApp and its rewards system. I was hoping their new app would be better than an old useless app. They out did themselves, making new apps and websites even worse. Yes, there is something beyond useless.

This swaps been horrible. Trying to play Dutch bros way at least they figured it out before the release. BlackRockCoffeeBarApp and Dutch bros belong in the trash together. I expect better from black rock.

Slow, can’t redeem free coffees, time consuming to use. All around bad time. I require enough caffeine to feel like a ford ranger. Night shift, blue collar, young male, living off speed, nicotine and caffeine. A FREE MEDIEM ISN'T WORTH THE 2 EXTRA SECONDS. If BlackRockCoffeeBarApp ALLOWS you to redeem it. In fact I couldn’t redeem my XL and got told “oh well”.

Just saying black rocks lucky I wasn’t poor today or there would be problems. If I’m poor it’s cause of my 3 drink a day “MINIMUM”. Be like toast and do butter.

I’m a regular black rock customer and I have a lot of points, but I can’t use any because as soon as I go on BlackRockCoffeeBarApp it says paytronix error 4?? I’ve been waiting a week for it to go away thinking it’ll be fixed, but it hasn’t. I tried deleting and redownloading and everything but that message won’t go away and it prevents me from using BlackRockCoffeeBarApp . I miss the old system where I could just redeem my points through my phone number. The baristas said I can’t redeem my points unless it’s through BlackRockCoffeeBarApp now. Which doesn’t even work for me 😭

Love the coffee, hate BlackRockCoffeeBarApp . The login system returns an “other server error” every time I try to login, it doesn’t save your credentials. I can login if I reset but then next time get the error again. I know another coffee shop that uses the same backend and it’s the same story there.

No matter what you try to do, count on this freezing and requiring you to force close and restart.

I was really looking forward to the new app. It looks great and seems more functional. However, I always order a raspberry mocha in store and when I tried to create an order for the exact same thing on BlackRockCoffeeBarApp , the raspberry syrup was not available. Pretty disappointed I can’t order this through BlackRockCoffeeBarApp even though I can get it inside.

I know BlackRockCoffeeBarApp just launched but things need work like the settings page and the location picker are confusing!

I’m liking BlackRockCoffeeBarApp and it’s easy to use(and long overdue) but the only thing I want is nutrition information right on BlackRockCoffeeBarApp when looking at drink. The Dutch Bro app is better in that regard.

Love there energy drinks but when I go in and the girls are wearing such short shorts there checks are hanging out I don’t love it! Wouldn’t bring my nieces or kids here for sure! Put some clothes on please!!!

It’s very quick and easy to order ahead but I did notice I don’t have any points anymore. All my point are gone.

BlackRockCoffeeBarApp is okay, much better than the last one that would freeze up. It would be nice to set a default tip so you don’t forget… also the ability to review orders. We have sometimes that the staff and drink are stellar and other times that you walk in and the staff ignores you for 10 min before coming over to help.

Ever since Black Rock opened in Tucson, me and my bf love the frozen purple galaxy energy drink., luckily theres a BR 1.2 miles away, and we go every Friday and pick up drinks for some of the office folks, I'm never disappointed at Black Rock.

I’ve been going to black rock for one year and a few months and I’ve loved it . I used to go to Starbucks a lot not gonna lie but not anymore ,black rock coffe is the best , they have so many drinks to choose and etc.. For the people who haven’t tried Black Rock you guys should definitely try💕💕

App is easy to use and coffee is PERFECT.

Been going to this black rock since the first day they opened. I love the fast and smooth customer service they put out. Will always be my favorite spot.

We just had one open up near us.
I don’t like coffee so I got a chocolate chip no coffee. It was delicious!!!!!

I used to be a Dutch girly but once I tried black rock it was on a whole different level 🫶🏻 I’m happy they finally have an app. It’s so much easier to get points and no problems.

My coffee order is always good no matter the day which is so important to me because I hate an inconsistent coffee!!! The staff is always friendly which makes black rock the perfect start to my day

Coffee and food are delicious, but mostly love coming here because the staff is always so kind and friendly!
