I signed up over a year ago with the installment plan. The initial contract stated I would get my $240 back at the end of paying off the installment plan. Out of nowhere my installment plan was “closed” and it was switched to a credit building plan. I had payed off my installment plan and never signed anything or agreed to switch plans. When contacting kovo they stated that they never had this agreement and when I look at my initial contract it somehow it all crypted in the app so you can’t read it. I know what I signed up for because I would never agree to paying $10 a month and other reviewers have stated this as well. If you are going to go back on your initial contract then screw with the evidence then LIE and say that never existed I can not trust your company, and no one else should either. My credit score didn’t change drastically, if at all because of this app after paying $240 that I was promised I would get back and never did. Due to my husband dying I’m a single mom of 4 and really was looking forward to the extra cash for Christmas this year. Closing one plan without my permission, lying and saying it never existed when my app has proof it did, then signing me up for another plan that I never agreed to is deceitful and fraudulent. AVOID THIS APP AT ALL COSTS.
Customer service representatives mislead you on the terms

I was skeptical about Kovo’s installment loan. I reached out to a representative before signing and agreeing to the terms because I wasn’t completely sure how it worked even after reading the contract terms. The representative I spoke with assured me that at the end of my contract, after all of my payments were made that I would be receiving my $240 back. This is definitely not true and I was wrongly misled. So you essentially pay $10 a month for them to occasionally report your payments to the credit bureaus. Two of my reports show they haven’t reported a payment in almost 4 months. Avoid their service since there are plenty of other options that all you more flexibility.

Honestly I started but I right away canceled just by looking at the 1 star reviews and what happened to other people. I went ahead and canceled the same day I opened it. So idk if it works or not. However while closing it stated that later in the future if I wanted to open an account again it said can’t and will not be able to. I was hoping I would try it in the future but I guess not so I just canceled. I’m sorry kovo but I didn’t like your 1 star reviews and those bad experiences
