Needs improved error messaging

When a file is unable to be converted, there is no error and saving results in a file that has zero byte size.

With improved error messaging SpatialMediaToolkit has a lot of potential.

Promising app with some bugs that still need to be squashed

The 3D rendering came out a lot better than I thought it could, and the latest version now offering a lot faster rendering was sorely needed and greatly appreciated. However when attempting to save a rendered video:

— if the original was opened as ‘hidden’, your newly-rendered video will not be able to save back to the hidden folder as well, and doesn’t save anywhere for that matter despite leading you to believe it saved successfully

— if the original video was saved out in the regular photo library, the newly rendered video will save as the same 2D video instead of the desired 3D video. So now you have two copies of your original 2D video. The only way to get past this is to save it to ‘files’, open it, then save the video back to your photo library.

Pretty Amazing

Pretty amazing program. Fantastic to be able to convert videos to spatial video. Only issue with the Mac program is that it would be good if it preserved the date of the original--it saves them all with the current date.

Great tool already does so much!

it does the wonderious task of converting my old side-by-side or top-bottom 3D to Apple's new spacial format.

suggestions for features. support for MP0 files. Batch processing would be increidble. thanks for all the great work, i look foward to future updgrades.

Great tool, needs some improvements on macOS

1. It takes longer on Mac Pro with 24 cores, than on AVP. Just because app uses single thread to render the video.

2. App does not remember setting between Cross eye -> Wiggle when you move cursor on timeline of the video.

Fails when trying to convert side-by-side videos

This works great for simple 2D photos and media, but once the video gets up to about five minutes or more or you’re trying to do something like converting a side-by-side VR video into a spatial video the rendering just flat out fails. This happens repeatedly and it doesn’t matter if you have premium or not so I’m canceling my sub.

Great app

It would be greater if we could select portions of an image to bring forward or push back to correct depth.

Like Magic

As a 3D movie fan for almost 50 years it's a dream come true to see just about anything in 3D. And it's not the terrible fake "3D" of yesteryear but depth map-generated 3D that must be seen to be believed.

Amazing!

I never imagined this could be possible! I’m turning some of my oldest, dearest photos and videos, into spatial versions. Thank you so much for creating this amazing app. It’s well worth the yearly subscription!

They added the side-by-side features!

I’m so excited that they added the side-by-side features I was looking for when I purchased this. I was surprised they were not included. Great stuff!

Best app for Vision Pro

As a photographic artist, having the ability to view images in three dimensions is an incredible tool to relive some of my favorite captures. I’m really looking forward, as SpatialMediaToolkit continues to improve, seeing how good the AI can get.

It works like magic!

As soon as I saw demos of spatial photos and video from Apple, I wanted more. And once I got my Vision Pro, it was one of the most fun things I played with. So of course I then wanted to go back and take some of my “old” photos and videos and see what they would look like as spatial versions. Well, Spatial Media Toolkit gives that to you! You can go through your entire Photos library of photos and videos and convert them. It’s fun and addictive… and brings back even more memories from every photo because the spatial element brings them more to life. Great app!!!

Works Really Well!

This works great. There is still some distortion from the conversion process, but this is a feature I expected AVP to have baked in. I just wish I could load images from files, too!

Really great app!

My only suggestion would be to be able to jump around frames when selecting the slider strength of a video instead of just the first frame. Really helpful for an edited video with different types of shots.

Just what I needed!

Exactly what I was looking for. I have a bunch of old stereoscope photos that I wanted to see in 3D on Apple Vision Pro. This is perfect for that! Also had some fun making Red Dead Redemption 2 spatial images using SpatialMediaToolkit. 10/10 highly recommended

Magic!

SpatialMediaToolkit work wonders, I dont have iPhone 15 Pro to record spatial moments and SpatialMediaToolkit just turns my images and videos into spatial that i just love watching on my Vision Pro. I spent hours just watching those moments again and again and all thanks to SpatialMediaToolkit.

Really blown away!

I thought this was for photos only but when I saw there was an option to convert my videos into 3-D spatial, I was blown away! I realize this is an early version of SpatialMediaToolkit , and I’m sure future updates will smooth out some of the minor rendering issues, but wow, I was skeptical at first, but SpatialMediaToolkit really works! Curious to see what the future brings with updates

Great app, great developer

Being able to go back through decades of old photos and convert them into the spatial format is such a great feature to have.

The developer is responsive, and continues adding in new features, as well as improved results for converting 2D photos/videos into spatial.

This is one of the few Vision Pro apps that I still use. If you have a lot of photos and want to see what they look like with depth added to them, this is SpatialMediaToolkit to get.

Great app but buggy for longer videos

I’ve noticed if I try to render a longer video and I physically walk behind the video it stops rendering and I have to restart and the same thing happens if I go to watch a special video in immersive air stops and I have to restart. If I have an hour long video I noticed I have to break it up in increments to make it work properly. If SpatialMediaToolkit didn’t have these bugs I’d rate it 5 stars and hopefully the dev can fix the issues. I did purchase the lifetime version btw

WOW!

Works great, from the start. Can’t wait to see future improvements of expandedgfield of view, but amazing already!
