I wasted money only to discover you can’t use PhotoRecovery . It makes you disable Face ID for photos and same as another in here I disabled how many times and closed PhotoRecovery and phone a restarted and nothing works. Keeps asking to disable a function that is already disabled. Waste of money and time. Fake reviews for sure.
Leaving another review since the last one seems to be gone now.
PhotoRecovery doesn’t even work. I paid the stupid subscription and every time you go to scan for photos you’re told Face ID needs to be turned off. I don’t even use it. I set up Face ID just so I would have something to turn off, but even doing that still prompts you to turn off Face ID even though it is.
I very rarely leave bad reviews, but this is blatant theft! You sign up, pay the small subscription fee, but then when you try to restore ANYTHING you end up stuck on the screen that prompts you to disable your Face ID! Even after disabling MULTIPLE times, closing out and resetting/reinstalling BOTH apps and even restarting my phone it still DOESNT work! I was so excited to use this service, but now I’m out $3 and can’t do anything but stare at a useless app screen. Beyond disappointed and upset, this needs to be fixed! Wanna request a refund I’m so upset. Do not waste your time, I beg you! This almost feels like a scam! I would give zero stars if possible! Useless!
Can’t actually recover photos that are permanently deleted. It only recovers those that are in your “recently deleted” folder, which you can restore yourself easily without paying for an app. Also prompts you to write a review to “keep it free” once you first open PhotoRecovery (so before you can even use it). I hit “no” since I couldn’t write a review on a product I didn’t use, so I was prompted to pay $3 for a weekly subscription. And all it could do was go into my recently deleted folder which is very easy to do on my own 😂 if you want this for photo recovery, don’t waste your money!!!
PhotoRecovery only recovers photos that have been deleted within the past 30 days.
Save the space on your phone and do not download PhotoRecovery if you are looking for long term recovery (photos deleted more than 30 days ago, like I am.)
Go into your Photos app on your phone, select the Albums button, scroll to the bottom and select the Recently Deleted button. Boom! Photo recovery without taking up app space on your phone.
PhotoRecovery does exactly what you can already do on iPhones and possibly androids too, which is go into your recently deleted photos and restore them yourself without paying anyone to do it. If you’re like me and need photos that have been completely deleted whether on purpose or accident then this isn’t the place to look.
Don’t waste your money honestly, if u have an iPhone jus go to recently deleted in photo albums. I hate when people write false reviews because I rlly had hopes of recovering back old photos and videos and all they did was pull up photos and videos from my iPhone recently deleted which I could’ve done, when I’m trying to recover videos and photos deleted from recently deleted🤦🏾♀️. Lord just wasted 3 dollars!!!
I paid for a week of premium membership but PhotoRecovery still doesn’t do what it’s supposed to. It keeps telling me that I need to turn off Face ID even though I don’t have it on and don’t even have the option to turn it on or off. Complete waste of money and time. Don’t bother with PhotoRecovery . I doubt it would work as advertised even if this issue want popping up.
Like several other reviewers, I’m stuck at the “Disable Face ID” stage when I never had it enabled in the first place. Stupidly thinking it would help, I went through the hassle of enabling Face ID and then disabling it, still to no avail. I was unable to use PhotoRecovery for its intended purpose, so it gets one star. But hey, the developer suckered me out of a couple bucks so he’s probably happy
I typically don’t write app reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience with this one. I downloaded PhotoRecovery in hopes of recovering some recently deleted photos. Unfortunately, PhotoRecovery was misleading—it prompted me to make a payment to proceed, which I did, but even after paying, the recovery feature didn’t work. It repeatedly asked me to disable Face ID, which was never enabled on my device to begin with.
The only somewhat useful aspect of PhotoRecovery was its ability to identify and help clean up duplicate or similar photos (as long as you don’t close out of PhotoRecovery … annoying)… Overall, this felt like a waste of $2.99… :/.
This feature resembles the restore function available on an iPhone, providing users with the ability to recover lost data. However, I would advise against purchasing the Pro version, as it unfortunately did not assist me in retrieving my cherished photos.
I don't know if this is the developer's fault or not. I searched PhotoRecovery store for "sd card recovery" and this came up. I was asked to pay $3 a week to "try" its features. I did that, and then it turns out that it charges you either $3 weekly or $30 for a lifetime subscription to access your own device's recently deleted album. This is as close to a ripoff as I've ever experienced. I assume there are some people that search PhotoRecovery store for help with finding recently deleted photos instead of Apple's support site, and I feel incredibly bad for those folks if this is what they get. If you need help cleaning up your phone's files, I guess go for it, but be aware that taking full advantage of PhotoRecovery's features also requires you to disable FaceID or TouchID.
Seems to do the trick, however, when I am removing incomplete contacts, as I select them they change names or numbers. When I reselect them they may or may not change back. I am fearful that I will remove contacts that shouldn’t be, without knowing.
PhotoRecovery pops up a deal every 3 mins asking to write a review to keep it free. after you have to pay for PhotoRecovery to do something you can do by yourself.
PhotoRecovery has been wonderful to me. I’ve been creating lots of pictures with this since plenty of years with you, and with PhotoRecovery picture app
Google photos deleted all of my pictures for the past year and were unrecoverable. I’ve been in tears for hours thinking I lost my memories and videos and pictures. BUT PhotoRecovery SAVED THEM.
Thank you for PhotoRecovery! And free no less! It helped me recapture a photo I took of my art with a high quality camera I no longer have. A fantastic ending to my day!☀️
I lost very important pictures of a message conversation between me and my father and my father is no longer here, so I am very grateful for PhotoRecovery because it did recover every single photo that was deleted accidentally
I’m still working on trying to find ones that just got deleted but saved 88 from weeks ago
This is a pre-slick program. I thought I lost all that old pictures I had on my phone until I use this program. I didn’t know where they were.. but found them with us thank you thank you thank you
