Can’t do anything without it asking for $100 can’t even generate a “free” prompt without having to subscribe. And when you do, expect to only use about as many words that are in this review.

I hate it 😠when you try to use a voice it cost money

The voice cloner did not work and is the only reason I paid for a subscription, if it is fixed I will change my review, they fixed it but, the AI “will not generate hateful content” making it completely useless for what I am doing. Just use a free one online.

Can’t control speed once you set up, and can share with a different device and/or account

I downloaded SpeechLab and the first thing I noticed immediately after going through various prompt walls of the capabilities of SpeechLab was, although promising, it immediately demands that you pay $109 for a year subscription, and since I needed a robust app to provide what SpeechLab supposedly offers, I decided to bite the bullet.

SpeechLab makes you pay for the premium subscription THEN has the balls to tell you that “try being nice” because it did not agree with certain words or phrasing in lyrics that was copied and pasted? Fk off

For the money that it cost, I feel as though the voices should sound more realistic. I feel as though that is the point of SpeechLab … Everything sounds way too robotic.

I can’t believe I wasted $100 dollars on this trash app!!! Lesson learned…read the ratings and reviews for anything online before you decide to purchase them!!! I thought this was a free app until I realize I would have to pay each time to create a new voice!!! Ugh!!!

I downloaded SpeechLab for fun to create voices with friends and after signing up only once you have paid an extortionate monthly fee does it tell you than you need to pay another $30 PER VOICE you wish to add. Absolute joke. The first voice that was “cloned” was also pathetic and nothing like reality. Avoid at ALL COSTS.

SpeechLab is not unlimited. You have to pay for every text you make.

Does not clone voice well at all. Can only upload 1 recording to "clone". Horrible app if I could leave -3 stars I would but I can't.

I saw SpeechLab on tick tok and decided it would be fun to send a Halloween message to my friends so I downloaded it. I typed in what I wanted to say and then looked through the voices and pretty much all of them had a lock next to it and when I hit on it it would sample the sound but then I hit it again and it kept bringing up a premium subscription you need for that voice and i get that something’s are money but as I continued looking all of them up needed a premium subscription for which I didn’t want to pay because why would I spend money on a fun little app just to send a little message. it turns out the only option that is free is one voice option which is Dorothy which I found very annoying cause I want to use a scary voice but this was my only option. I looked down all the options multiple times but everything else was money. this sounded cool when I saw it on tick tok and if I had more free options available I would like it but since the whole point of SpeechLab is to use Ai voices to make a message with it was very disappointing cause you are extremely limited to just one option and I was not gonna pay for an app I would probably end up using a couple times and then forgetting about it. Tick tok makes SpeechLab look good with a bigger variety of options but that is not the case. If you are willing to pay for a premium subscription then you may have more fun without but me personally just wanting to send a message to my friends not wanting to spend any money was disappointing and only kept me on SpeechLab for a couple seconds after then realizing pretty much everything is money this is another tick tok scam that looks better on the add but once you download it it isn’t very good at all.

it’s weak and charge too much a month and don’t have many voices and people i don’t even know on the voices so ya a total rip off don’t waist your money y’all need to get sued for faslse advertisement we’re getting tired of people like you

First of all I downloaded it thinking it was a free trial and ended getting charged.
It does not work!

I bought the unlimited annual plan a few days ago, and now you’ve limited the number of voice generations to 240. 8 days after my purchase. That’s not even enough to do one every day for a year. What’s the point of an annual plan? I’m not happy. I feel tricked and I have been in contact with the in-app feedback. I would never have bought the annual plan if you were going to limit to 240 responses. It feels like a bait and switch. Please change your limits for those of us who paid $89+ for the annual plan. I am a legacy user who invested before the changes. I even paid an extra $29 for the 10 additional voices.

i spent the $20 dollars a month to be able to make a custom voice using a audio, when i got done it didn’t even pop up as an option to use. it’s like i created it and it just never appeared as an option

I like SpeechLab a little when I needed to pay money for $29 and I don’t like paying. I wish this could be a free generated AI Voice app.

The audio doesn’t play through my Bluetooth it goes straight to my phone speakers and can’t be changed. Plus I only get one voice to try out.

SpeechLab only allow 150 words so I can’t make my full story and when I was using it a got a lot of adds and why do I have to use 150 as the limit at least 300 so people can make their full story so that’s why I make this one star (“do not recommend”)

I payed for the monthly subscription and I only get 50 generations. I shouldn’t have to pay for more if I already paid to get 50 in the first place. SpeechLab just takes your money.

Before paying I would like to know what Im getting, I want to know how many characters am I going to have per month, is there a limit? I need to know what I’m buying.

It’s so bad I could use barely anything because I need a subscription for no dang reason y make it free if u can only us 150 and 1 voice

Except for one that I could find, only one Black voice. If I would’ve known beforehand I wouldn’t have purchased.

No trial period… I got this to do voice overs videos for my cat only to find out, SpeechLab thinks the words “I’m a cat” is offensive and won’t generate… 80 bucks down the drain

Pretty decent app. Once you paid for the prescription, you would assume you would be able to do me as many things as you want but no every time you do a story and it generates it and count as one and you only get so many of them before you have to pay again, I could understand if it was to store the stories. I can understand for it to clone of voice to pay for that. But to pay each time you only get so many attempts then you have to pay again plus your monthly fee. Either the monthly fee needs to go away or having to pay for each generation needs to go away. Don’t waste your time cost too much money.

All my cloned voices got deleted, and the limit generations are too low for the price!

The voice clarity is good but I could not find a way to make the voices sound engaging so that I can use them as voice over. Disappointing.

I paid for the monthly subscription and it works about half the time if that. Sometimes it says can’t generate other times the character doesn’t show up. Sometimes when I’m typing it changes to a different language, it doesn’t recognize.

I have spent $110 on SpeechLab and am feeling stupid. It glitches a lot and that was fine but now I am being charged for every "generation". When you create a voice sample it is usually robotic and weird so you have to experiment with punctuation. Well now when you get a bad "generation" and you need to edit it they charge you for it. Every time you edit the same "generation" (due to SpeechLab being sub-par at voice inflection) You lose a point and have to buy 50 more generations for $30!!! I am searching for a comparable app that isn't gauging out it's users for experimenting with SpeechLab .

They need to slow down the speech.
