Updated Review: Flash drive suddenly stopped working, every time i insert into my phone or ipad i get a pop up in Chinese that there was an error in connecting the drive. Now i have no way of accessing all the files i put on this thing. I dont know what to do at this point!
Old Review: haven't had any issues with UBackup and usb drive. It's pretty straightforward to use and move photos/videos over, i needed it to move media from my phone to my ipad and it's perfect for that.
Just wish there was a way to back up media to specific folders i made, they just all save to the flash drive and i have to copy them over to my folders which takes a long time to do in when it's over 1000files.
UBackup is so flawed and never works correctly! I bought a thumb drive to download my photos off of my iPhone and asked that I would use the garage app to download them. It will only download one photo at a time and gives it a long random name which is useless for storing and saves photos by the date last modified which will make it viewing the photos out of date in sequence from when they were originally taken on the phone. UBackup is a ridiculous waste and time to use and download photos and videos off a phone!
I selected the photos to be saved/shared on the this app, but the photos will not transfer to the this app flash drive.

UBackup gives me sc*m & ha*cker vibes. How did it instantly get access to my photos videos & how did it delete everything from my phone w/o the permission of Apple? Something fishy is about UBackup & I don’t recommend downloading it!!

And it will not let me open my pictures and my videos and play them now on my phone or computer
Initially it would save files but after backing up my photos and videos suddenly it was 0 tb when I bought a 1 tb. Definitely not buying from them again. I emailed the email on the support but no reply either
Purchased the usb drive from Walmart under the assumption that it was a usb drive that could connect to my iPhone but it is not that. What it is is a physical version of the iCloud and now I can’t get my video from my ps4 to my iPhone wasted 20 bucks for a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist
Keeps telling me to insert usb drive, even usb drive is already inserted. Started out working fine, then everytime I tied to download, kept getting that notification. I’m very disappointed because I have so many videos I would like to keep without having to buy a whole new phone with more storage.
The videos and photos in the first phone's memory have been moved to the computer. After deleting the videos and photos in the folder in the USB flash drive, I inserted it into the second phone. Why can't the photos and videos in the phone be transferred to the folder of photos and videos in the USB flash drive? Why can't they be used repeatedly?
It won’t play some of videos I uploaded to the drive stick it even shows the video on their app put when you try to play it from clicking usb it doesn’t play ? It plays when i click on my phone option and I can’t find any info why it plays some videos and some it won’t. These videos are on my iphone that I loaded to this stick . Waste of money and waste of time trying figure out how to get it to play my video
It will save the jpegs, but not the file types and as soon as I allowed UBackup to communicate with the jump drive, I got a scam text telling me to call a number before $143 was charged to my Apple ID.
I bought a jump drive that would connect easily to my phone to save pictures, and the drive required that I download UBackup. Oddly enough the makers of UBackup also make UBackup for a different drive that I purchased for the same reason. That drive and app don’t work either. Beware!!!!!
Didn’t work from the first day I got it.
I backed up some of my big video files i had saved on my phone and it wont load them when theyre partitioned in the USB, Ever.
Am I backing up to an app or to the usb device I bought online? I genuinely cannot tell
I've got thousands of images I need transferred out of a phone I need sold. I transfer up to 3,000 images at a time. I copy them to a folder and then delete the old ones. I've reached half of the strange and not it is struggling to delete the old images. It can old delete 5 at a time. To delete 3,000 by 5 images at a time is insanity. It started out great, but now it's utter trash.
The only reason I don't give it five stars is because I'd like to be able to change the file names. I have a workaround now, but it's kind of a pain and wouldn't be necessary if renaming in-app was possible.
Works perfectly with the flash drive I bought. Kinda slow transferring to other devices but I’m still happy.
