Do not waste your money in this piece of fece, paid the five dollars for unlimited imports only to later realize that all you import to MaxVault is also stored in the phone so you don't really get to free up space unless you directly transfer the files from MaxVault to the PC. Would only recommend for password protected folders but do not expect to free up space on your phone...other thing is the touch dynamics of MaxVault are cringe, you need to touch the screen with almost extreme delicacy for not choosing any unwanted files it is so frustrating to say the least...OVERALL not even worthy of two stars, sorry not sorry, need to upgrade their game if they want it to be worth five dollars. Period.

In the past I sang praises of MaxVault to my friends because of it’s functionality. Now I will issue “stay away” signs, because the author, while talented, caved and made this a subscription app, when, personally, I feel it would have sold better at a one time price. The current one time price is also WAY too high. There are features that have been suggested to the author that would bring it closer to being justified, but they haven’t been added yet, or the author just doesn’t care, and wants those people who’ve already downloaded MaxVault and use it to ‘bite the bullet’ and agree to pay monthly.
Time to look for another folder app, since there are hundreds in MaxVault Store.

This is a really nice app and works as advertised on the device. But while it claims to “support” cloud services such as dropbox, icloud, onedrive, and while it can indeed place folders or files into a location in these clouds, it won’t encrypt or password protect the data stored in the cloud. So if the idea is to have encrypted/password protected vaults live in the cloud and be accessible via MaxVault only, MaxVault won’t do it. It would be nice if that was stated up-front in the description. It would be even nicer if the developer would add this feature.

After running MaxVault once, and then either locking my device, suspending MaxVault , or fully closing it, it softlocks my device until either I forcibly shut it off, or the device crashes and restarts itself. It's kind of unreasonable to expect someone to restart their device every single time they want to use MaxVault .

I tried playing with every setting, removing special characters from filenames and within the files themselves, deleting empty files, deleting files that haven't been used in a long time, and even recreating every single file from the ground up, and it STILL crashes after one use.

This is one of the greatest apps ever the only thing that would make it better would be able to search for words or lines in notes as if like if you had a note that said batteries in it or a battery number a list of batteries that you can type that in and find the note in MaxVault just a little better search engine and this would be the best app ever for sure. Keep up the good work

I love MaxVault, it is like a separate operating system.

I have photos and videos that I need to alway store and MaxVault gives me the ability to put them into a file system with folders so I can keep my media very organized.

My only complaint is that there is no home button to take you the home screen. If you are deep within folders it takes tap after tap to get back home. It would 5 stars otherwise.

It’s an amazing app. One of the best i’ve ever used and I hope in the future they upgrade some features. Don’t get me wrong MaxVault is amazing, simple, practical and easy to navigate. I say keep it like that. But also add things such as In-video scaling to watch it fit or full (The shuffle is an amazing feature by the way). Other In-video options that would be cool to have would be right and left side volume and brightness adjustments. Video editing would be an absolute top tier thing to have too. The editing in pictures is incredible and an amazing feature to have (like the text and mosaic blur). It would be amazing if you could add more editing features like these. It would be the complete package.
The only real complaint I have is the vault moving and locking. I would like to lock other vaults without having to lock the primary one. And be able to move vaults to the top or bottom.
Apart from that, incredible app and I hope it wasn’t too obvious to tell that I am a video editor😂.

I love MaxVault, it’s s the most beautiful app in MaxVault Store, i hope to give it five stars but there is only one thing missing “Live Photo “ you didn’t support this type of pictures
It’s sooo important for many people
We use it everyday, but the problem is when I import Live Photo into MaxVault it’s shows me the Live Photo like normal photo
So please can you support Live Photo in your next update

I find MaxVault so useful that I purchased the Lifetime Premium option. It is well designed, stable and truly versatile. However, there are a few features that I find sorely missing: 1) the capability to do keyword searches in a text document, and 2) be able to loop continuously from point A to point B in a video. Hopefully the developer will take notice and add these features in the future. Otherwise, great app!! UPDATE: Another useful feature that is missing is the ability to re-arrange (drag and drop) photos in grid view and have MaxVault remember their new positions. Please add this functionality!

First it was St@sh. Then it it was no longer supported so I had to migrate to a new app. Then I found Photorange but same thing. Hadn’t been updated in years so I knew I needed to find a new app to put my files in. MaxVault IS THE ONE. I’ve looked and looked and looked. Tried them all. This is the best. It’s better than Keep Safe and it’s crazy prices. Everything about MaxVault is on point and gets better and better.

It only needs airdrop support so you can send files from one your iPhone to another or MAC.

After trying no less than five different apps in the wake of the loss of HiFolder, I have finally found the one that provides me with all the functionality I needed: nested folders, File Sharing import, TouchID security, and a decoy vault. The only thing that could be improved, would be to allow full passwords instead of just PINs, although support for numeric passes up to eight digits does measurably improve security over the usual 4-digit option. Besides that, a perfect app for the secure storage of photos and other files.

MaxVault is really nice to store photos and videos. I’m using a iPhone 12 Pro Max, and MaxVault feels a LITTLE bit laggy sometimes.

Also, are you guys able to add some quality of life options where the video won’t pause if you swipe right to skip further in the video? It’s kind of annoying when you have to unpause the video after trying to skip some parts of it over and over again.

Whether with music or photos, I’ve always preferred to organize my files in folders rather than albums or playlists. Since Apple has purposefully made the files app totally incompetent with photos, apps like this app are the only way to go. I’ve tried a bunch of different ones and this app is my favorite.

My only feature request would be the option to auto rename files in folders when exporting to a zip file so that they retain the order you put them in within the folder.
Small potatoes given how awesome MaxVault is but for me that would truly be the icing on the cake!

I am a long time user and MaxVault is near perfect. Of course it’s great for hiding photos and files, but it has some tremulously useful organization features. You can have folder inside folders inside folders inside folder… The tag feature allows you identify photos inside multiple folders and then you can use a “Smart Folder” to display only the photos that have the specific tag! It’s great!

I used to regularly use the share button to airdrop files from within MaxVault . Now it is gone. The “transfer” function is substantially slower than airdrop. Too slow to use for big files. Otherwise I think that it’s a great app.

Developer Response to me was that the share function has not been removed, thus I will clarify. The share button is gone from the action menu, but only for VIDEO files and only using the iPad app.

1st the customer service is amazing and very prompt. I had a minor issue and I was contacted that very day! In today’s world great customer service is a huge plus in my book. MaxVault itself is well thought out and very accessible. The utility and utilization of it is only limited by your imagination because those app is a beast. Way to many features to discuss. Download and place a towel under your mouth because you will drool when you see what MaxVault can do.

I’ve had Apple for 10 yrs. And not one app has ever had me want to take the time to write a review ...until now. App is very easy & simple to use. At the same time very effective & never has crashed on me. That’s UNHEARD of in the Apple world. And it also takes Pics if someone enter if someone puts the wrong passcode in. Importing and exporting is super simple. You can have files, videos, pics. By far my all time most used and favorite app. Good job

I desired a specific set of requirements in a “video vault” type of app, and after trying around 10 different apps, this one nailed them all:

1. Plays wide variety of video sizes and formats, plays vids in sequential order (doesn’t stop between vids).
2. Files can be presented in a clean, text format with minimal thumbnails, and can be reasonably sorted.
3. Creating folders and moving files around is easy and straightforward, and syncing files with iTunes seems exceptionally solid (compared with other similar apps I’ve tried).
4. The UI is streamlined and minimal. There’s also a help icon!!
5. Uses my preferred password format... the dot-square, for input.

Everything else in MaxVault , for me, was frosting... but, if your main needs in this type of app match mine, I can highly recommend it. If they don’t, I still recommend checking it out, overall it seems to be good quality.

I’ve been using this app for over five years. Before purchasing it, I vetted several different apps. This was the best, and remains the best: for securely storing, organizing and viewing notes, media, you name it. The interface is well-designed, providing excellent aesthetics but also excellent control and function. Also the developer frequently improves and enriches features.

My most important function for my needs was the ability to get files easily into and out of MaxVault and to store them safely when in MaxVault . MaxVault was more expensive than most but works flawlessly. I tried 10 other apps and vaults and this was the only one that work clearly and logically. It is exceptionally well designed and thought out. Most importantly, when dealing with important files everything works and files don’t just end up somewhere you didn’t expect.
