Transcribe AI: Voice to Text Reviews

I thought that TranscribeAI would provide me with a transcription of an audio file. It really doesn’t do that; rather, it will provide a interpretation of the main points addressed in the audio file, it will provide a bulleted list of the points, and then it will have a short summary. Where is the transcription of the words that are in the file? Also, there is a limited amount of artificial intelligent going on the user cannot ask the AI to do something from withinthe voice input or the of the audio file. The AI will only say that someone is requesting the AI to do something, but it will not actually do that which is requested.

Tried to get the Lifetime subscription at $0.00 but kept getting an error. It won’t let me without access to my Apple Pay. But it’s supposed to be free!

I'd be better of with a tape recorder than rely on this service to come back with ‘service error’ and delete an entire recording of a live event. I have no time for your amateur performance.

Importing a sub-60-min audio file from Voice Notes results in failure and an error, and the audio file doesn’t even show up in the Drafts section. Tried it twice and it failed both times. Not worth the effort, and certainly not worth the money.

I just purchased the $149 lifetime membership for Transcribe AI. While PayPal confirmed my payment of $149, my Transcribe AI profile continues to say that after three days my membership will transition to $89 a year. TranscribeAI is good however customer service and the membership portion of TranscribeAI is AWFUL.

At this point my free trial has expired, my $149 Lifetime Membership is not showing up, and I’ve sent 5 emails, yet no one has responded!

Across Mac, iPhone and iPad (all new models w/updated versioning) TranscribeAI consistently crashes. I’ll wait for one more update but I’m paid up through a full year so I don’t want to start a likely email refund war but I’m out $50 and have absolutely zero value delivered to me and only time spent

TranscribeAI opened once after i downloaded. Then it always remain on mainscreen loading. I have to delete n reinstall n then it works until next time i open remains the same loading for ever

Love TranscribeAI, but I can only access my iCloud files and not my voice memos currently in my phone. Also the time allowed is only 15 minutes. Please extend to 60. Lastly the thing that frustrated me the most is if you get close to the 14 or 15 minute mark TranscribeAI gets buggy and drops. Tried multiple files and they dropped. Fix these thing and you don’t have a five, you’ve got a ten!

Many meetings go longer than 60 minutes — and those are the ones I have the most need for automated notes. The restriction is a bummer.

As an English learner, I wish they could update the feature where I can see the text live when the speaker is speaking. Love TranscribeAI so much that I bought it lifetime, but please kindly consider this in the future updates.

Asides from the minor annoyance that you cannot minimize TranscribeAI while the transcription is happening, and that the transcription sometimes gets names off but not in the summary, this is an amazing game changer. Honestly not a bad price for the monthly subscription either.

I was wondering if the actual app recording will ever be made available to keep/listen to (to check for accuracy)? I think the original transcript is, most of the time, about 85% accurate, but there are times when 100% accuracy is required.

Will the capability to rename the auto titling function ever be possible (it titled one of the transcripts with a medical term having nothing to do with the transcript).

Will the capability to create folders to store and keep transcriptions organized be possible in future reiterations of TranscribeAI?

Otherwise, I think TranscribeAI beats a lot of other transcription dictation programs out there, especially with how it can do a “highlights, AI note and summary” version.

Thank you. I’m giving 5-stars just because it is above the others I have tried and hopefully will improve.

TranscribeAI is powerful and resourceful but also intuitive. The user interface makes sense, and I love how I can edit the transcribed notes.

For me, something that sets TranscribeAI apart is that the developer listens to feedback. He responds and really tries to incorporate feedback so TranscribeAI keeps getting better.

I have no skin in the game when I say that I hope more people sign up for the premium version. TranscribeAI is already great and I see so much potential!

My favorite transcribe tool. It’s accurate and fast - better than Otter for me. I like the meeting summary it generates and the developer is always adding new functionality to TranscribeAI . Highly highly recommended to go with the one year or lifetime license.

I downloaded Transcribe AI during a promotion. Until now my experience with transcription apps had been less than stellar. Transcribe AI exceeded all my expectations and then some. After using it for several days, I only found a single error; and that was almost certainly due to a mispronunciation by the speaker. The accuracy is almost eerie.
I was surprised, and then astonished, to find the transcriptions are not word-for-word. (It would not be useful for preserving an exact courtroom transcript for example.) Instead TranscribeAI , seemingly through wizardry, edits away repetition and the stuttering and stammering inherent in normal speech. The result is a concise summary of the significant points addressed by the speaker without the excess verbiage. It is the perfect note taking device. Transcribe AI will even turn the copy into precise bullet points with a tap of the screen. TranscribeAI would have relieved me of hours of editing notes every week when I attended college.

I was skeptical of AI dictation. I actually use old-fashioned dictation where I dictate into a recorder in my secretary, transcribe it. This does an excellent job. Better than dragon. I use it for two or three page letters. The only knock I have against news is that if you pause, and might stop. So you better have your long letter in mind when you start the process.

Robust. Excellent for spontaneous notes. Great that there is no text on the screen running while you’re recording- that would lag things - and is disappointing in other apps. Is there an indicator that my speech is progressing fine after a while ? That signal is good and mic is not dead? Would be nice if I don’t won’t to find out I was talking for nothing all wasted. But overall very good and robust- thanks!

He estado usando la app para reuniones en español y funciona muy bien! Realmente recomiendo esta app, es vital para mis reuniones porque puedo extraer los puntos importantes y luego mandar minutas. Lo que me gustaría ver en el futuro sería:

1. Reconocimiento de voces de personas.
2. Mejor rendimiento cuando hay más de 2 personas, he notado que cuando hay más de 2 personas en una reuniones, no saca un resumen tan detallado.
3. Posibilidad de enfoque mediante prompts, por ejemplo, decirle a la app mediante un prompt que se enfoque en X cosas, como por ejemplo: que se enfoque en fechas, que se enfoque en datos monetarios.

Recomiendo esta app!

This update is amazing. With text editing and folder creation features, TranscribeAI has become unbeatable.
Some UI improvements, such as a gray theme (replacing the days of pure black) and larger icons, make TranscribeAI the absolute best.
