Completely not ok to shut down FirstBankonthego . I couldn't even see my balance, I was out of town too. Warning would've been great, or be able to still use my app over the weekend!!!

Time to switch banks

Would give zero stars if possible. They shut down our access to our accounts for three days with no warning. They also have gotten rid of their in-person customer service, so if you go into their building you’re just talking to a screen.
Within the first 10 minutes of making my new account and trying to use this new app I got over 50 error messages. The old app worked fine. Why fix what’s not broken?

App is unusable

I am a current member of this bank and when I go to use FirstBankonthego with my login credentials I end up sitting at a frozen login screen forcing me to close FirstBankonthego and start over. I can login perfectly fine on the website, but when it comes to FirstBankonthego u can’t even access account without having it freezing and locking up.

Pitiful

First Bank DID alert its customers that the system would be down on the 23rd and 24th.
I enrolled this morning about 7:45 am. It’s now about noon and I still can’t access my account either on the computer or on the new app.
So now I’m into my third day without access to my accounts. Not what I would call a ‘Better Banking Experience’.

uhmmm … deposits

maybe i missing something but where’s the deposit function? that was what made the banking ‘mobile’ for me - i can wait til. get home to me computer to check balances and the like. maybe i’ll go discuss with the people at my branch… ohhhhh yeah that’s right! there are no people at my branch anymore. Almost 50 years as a business and personal account holder - i think i’m done.

Awful Company Practice

What bank takes down their current app and their website completely without any warning on a Friday and won’t have the “new” app up until Monday? In what world is it acceptable for a business that handles our money to just block our access to our accounts for three days? Any respectable business would have the replacement up and have you swap to it once the current one is down. How is this bank THIS stupid?

One child can’t log in, can’t transfer funds

All information correct, dob, ss and acct number, they have “escalated” yet still unable to log in. He is in a different state in college, and I can’t transfer funds between any accounts, even the accounts that have the new app set up. Frustrating to say the least. Plus after a transaction, can you put the balance to the right? We can verify transactions but not balance after each one. Trying to figure out holds on deposits.

Unnecessary transition at inconvenient time

I have no way to access my bank information from my phone. They shut the original app offline on a Friday and put up a new one 3 days later. Then the kicker is they can’t even enroll you because of server traffic! Terrible handling and policy.

Update: they updated it and now my face ID stopped working, very cool!

Doesn’t Even Work

I’ve jumped through their hoops of 1) not having access to my account online for a whole weekend 2) signing up for the new system (which we should automatically be transferred over to, but instead: this??) 3) the fakeout of this supposedly happening a month ago and and then them postponing it. And now, FirstBankonthego just doesn’t load. I’m stuck with an error message on my homepage. Same thing happens on a browser. Restarting FirstBankonthego puts you back at the neverending loading screen after you put your login info in. For something as important as banking information, this really is unacceptable. It makes me worry about the security of our accounts, if their tech team isn’t even capable of this.

Does not work day one

So my bank decides to make you re enroll in a new app that doesn’t work (when the last app worked great). Finally logged in after jumping through all the hoops to be greeted with a page that says “No context found.” No help offered, just want to be able to check funds, pay bills, etc. Wish I could give a negative star.

Failure- guess I’ll look for a new bank after 25yrs

Nothing but issues setting up the new account. Got that accomplished and now after it accepts the login it spins and has a failure. Both on app and computer. So much for paying bills and accessing MY MONEY.

Let your customers know your going to take access away

I got a letter in the mail about the change of apps and 3 days with no access ON THE FIRST DAY WITH NO ACCESS. Why wouldn’t you give your customers appropriate notice? If not just to avoid cranky customers??!

Using the app

I can’t login to my account on FirstBankonthego how are you going to update and say time for update when FirstBankonthego is already updated!

Vast improvement

It’s finally a well-designed, iOS-friendly app! Though I think there are still areas for improvement, this is so much better than the last app and I hope it’s only up from here! I hope they do some user testing to work the kinks out, but overall, thankful for this change.

Notice was given

We received significant advance notice via email and US mail on two separate occasions that banking would be down for the weekend. While not ideal to not have access for three days, we planned accordingly and managed it without issue.

Love this new web site!

Awesome new web site. I’m looking forward to exploring all of the features!

New app and new online banking

For those previous reviewers that said no notice was given perhaps they were not reading their email or checking snail mail. I received regular emails, snail mail and alerts when logging into my online banking for WEEKS advising of the changes and the dates the system would not be available. As with any upgrade one can expect hiccups when going live. I experienced a few but was rectified within a few hours. So far the new app is working perfectly fine and has several new helpful options.

New First Bank app

Thanks for providing detailed instructions on signing into the new website and then deleting the old app before installing the new one. It was simple. Thanks, too, for providing (via a large yellow notice) that this change was to occur on Monday morning. Good job!

It’s fine

Really didn’t see a big reason to switch apps but I was able to switch over in about 60 seconds. No complaints.

Finally updated!

The bank has been notifying us for months about the upcoming update to the website and mobile app, and after a significant delay it’s finally released! So far so good!

New Banking App

Plenty of notification. Loaded the new application as instructed. It was easy to load, easy to use. The multi-factor authentication makes it save and secure. A real winner. Nice job First Bank.

Launch went great!

Received plenty of notices of the conversion and was afraid it would be a hassle, but to sign up for the new website and download the Mobile on the go app, took less than five minutes. Great job making this painless and it was overdue to upgrade the platform. Can’t wait to test it out.

Great App

Live the new, very user friendly. I must comment that I received a lot of communication about the change.

Love it

The bank gave notice to emails, bank statements, mail, and also on the website. If you looked at your account everyday, then you were alerted. It’s not the banks fault you failed to pay attention. Other than that the new mobile app is great. I love the new app and I’ve have had no issue with it.

Not too bad

The bank had been warning their customers for months about the switch over. Unless you’ve been living under a rock you should have known.
Anyway, it was odd to have their system down for the weekend but I never had a single issue with using my debit card so I didn’t even notice.

A much needed upgrade

The new user interface is super nice and easy to navigate. They’ve added a lot of new features and the ease of access while keeping end user security in mind is amazing. Looking forward to all the new updates.

Yes not being able to access ebanking over the weekend was annoying but they had all the phone support online and was easy to call in real quick for any questions or requests.
