I don’t know why this wasn’t stated, this is the most basic level of information anyone would need to know about Smore
Smore allows you to choose between 2 “cities”. Florida and New York. 🤔🧐🫠😵💫
There’s something very interesting with the weekly lottery. For the past two weeks, the same person won the lottery both weeks. I’m concerned and confused with how the lottery works now. Is there any randomization or is it just through favoritism? I will be keeping an eye on future weekly lotteries.
They advertise to New Yorkers with free events on other platforms. Smore is just a waste of time and they want to collect data. For instance making Smore basically useless unless you give full access to your photos, lame…
I’ve been getting ads for Smore for ages and decided to download. NOWHERE in advertising, Smore Store, or Smore itself does it explicitly say that events are local to NYC (and near Jersey) only. I have no idea why people are giving S’mores 5 stars and saying “great idea!” when they can’t even use it. If you can’t expand to other cities, at least be up front about it.
At the start it asks for a ton on data, like location. I thought ok that’s fine, until it didn’t show me any locations near me. It showed random things to do in like NYC or Oregon. Wow I wonder what it used my data for then?
Also when it asks for what you are interested in, it gives you barely any options to pick from.
Overall, the only thing Smore does it scrape random places of interest off google maps and pastes it into your feed while stealing your data.
This is a fantastic idea but this only shows things to do in NYC I live 4 states away. This is a grab for personal data from users. Don’t want to use the word scam but doesn’t deliver on what you would expect from their description at all.
Well Smore is advertised as though it would be able to find stuff near you as in like any state and city... WRONG it only is for NYC not even the rest of NY or any other state i'm going to have to delete but if there's ever a day you guys add western NY to here or even other states i'd gladly redownload but as of right now im disappointed that it was falsely advertised :/

Failed to specify in ads that Smore was only for New Yorkers. Advertise better.
Most of the Events and Activities are centered in New York City..
Smore seems to only show you or mostly show things in New York. I live 5 states away from there and it shows nothing in my city at all. All the “neighborhoods” are New York neighborhoods. Shows absolutely nothing for anywhere near me. They make it look like it’ll show you SO MANY THINGS and even in the places it shows sometimes there’s nothing to do at all. Smore says it’s been around for 12 years and if so it’s sad it’s hardly built up anything to show me.
There should be filtering by state and city. There should be filtering by distance. There should be filtering by nearby location bigger than 2 miles. That’s all you get for “nearby activities “. It only shows you 2 miles which where I am isn’t even to the city yet.
I don’t live in NYC, more that 7 hour drive away but all I see is posts for Brooklyn and other nyc related events? Looked for a way to filter to a local area and couldn’t find a way to do so. If it’s there it’s hidden
The idea of Smore is really good but i feel like it should be more broad then just New York City. There is also the fact that there are not enough users to keep an active feed

It’s a great idea but not everyone lives near or in New York. I feel like if they added more cities it would be better!
It’s good for getting ideas on things to do or look for, but as most listings are in New York and there’s no option to sort by location (other than searching keywords, if you’re lucky) it’s not as useful as it could be. Would love to be able to find local groups, experiences, etc in at least major cities. Hoping Smore expands to add this feature.
no near me or geographic features
The experiences all list how far away they are but there’s no way to sort by distance. One after another there will be like a store 3 miles away and a random Costco in Kentucky. I’m really only interested in stuff a mile or so away from me. I can search my neighborhood but it still confuses me how little search customization there is
I live in pa and it only gives me new york things. Can you do more Philly things/recommendations
I’m enjoying s’more so far, I love the hidden gems that people are uploading. I just wish there was a feature to search locations and dates further out. Maybe like a filter option? Overall great app though.
Just concerned for my privacy and data usage. So far seems fine, but asking for my phone number, email, and location is a bit concerning. Smore also seems pretty new, not too many ratings yet so far, don’t know where to place my trust. But, having all the things to do in nyc in one app is pretty cool.
Smore is great for looking for new places to hang the only reason i gave it 4 stars was because there isn’t a ton of people on Smore so it makes searching for places on the search bar kinda hit or miss.
I got Smore from an add yesterday and I’ve been finding very useful for finding ideas for fun activities. One thing I may suggest tho, is an option to filter posts by location.
I love how it shows you such amazing places you wouldn’t even think of going and there’s just so many hidden places that is fun and to your liking. I really recommend it it very useful when you don’t know what to do and very simple to use, it shows information of where and people also show you a review how it went and what it looked like for them.
