CT Lottery Reviews

I use apps from other states and they are all very fast. Sometimes the scanner is barely opening and it scans the ticket while in the process. This CT app isn’t friendly at all. I have to make sure there are absolutely no slight wrinkles and not even slight glare, then I need to hold my breath so I don’t move for 10-15 seconds and FINALLY it scans. 🙄 If my tickets weren’t over a month old it would probably be faster to look them up in past winning numbers. In fact, it might’ve still been faster, but I was determined to get it to get CTLottery to scan. Please improve the scanner.

What’s going on?

Love the idea of CTLottery to buy tickets for large drawings but it is so so user unfriendly & buggy if you want to use it for purchases. Won’t save logins, you try & navigate & it sends OTP’s & you get an email saying you have logged in & then you try to do something else & it wants another OTP & then you have to login again & since it doesn’t save the credentials, good luck. Offloading it now - make it work how ANY other app works that deals with money & you have a gem. Totally useless as it is for buying tickets.

CTLottery and website are terrible. The security questions to verify my identity isn’t working. First, it asks me to verify by answering random questions, not the security ones you setup. It’s asking street numbers as far back as over a decade up to 30+ years ago where I lived. I cannot remember those numbers. So I failed the 3 attempts. Trying to upload documents instead and there is no place to do it using app or desktop website. Chatted with live chat rep and they kept giving me canned answers telling me where to go to do it, and the option isn’t even there. Deleted app and closed my account.

I will NEVER put my money into CTLottery again, because once you do it’s gone . You need to have good credit to withdraw any funds or winnings , because they go through a 3rd party vendor PLAID to cash out the funds . It’s absolutely insane.

CTLottery either locks me out or won’t allow me to login. I put in my verification pin and receive an email that I’ve successfully logged in but the screen just asks me to enter my pin over and over again. I can’t check my tickets.

I’ve contacted the developer several times about this issue. It’s extremely frustrating when you can’t login it sends you all the information you need and then when you hit enter, it just says you to a white screen multiple times a day.

Ever since they change the scanners on the lottery tickets to the long barcode it is near impossible to scan your regular lottery tickets… it takes over 2 minutes to try and get the reader to scan the lottery ticket… it’s another scam by the lottery system to make it harder to scan your tickets in a timely manner… until they change the long barcode you will have a lot of trouble scanning your tickets

After asking for multiple forms to authenticate and creating an account, they then want a front/back photo of my SS number, previous years W2, previous year W9, etc. Too much trouble and requesting too much info. Deleting.

I was prompted to upgrade app to newer version. New version is down. Should not have released updated app before testing. New system has been a boondoggle since it’s release last year.

This new app that took forever to be released if just straight garbage. It will never scan the tickets to see if they’ve won. Using on an iPad Pro m2 and and iPhone 15 pro max with great cameras. It never works which makes CTLottery completely useless for me.

App outright fails to open. Appears a lucky few get some benefit out of it, given the imbalance of high and low star reviews (weighted to low). A pure high profit scheme for CT, the lottery should have a functioning and high-quality app.

The previous application is 100 times better than this new app. It’s virtually impossible to scan a ticket. Absolutely useless. Bring back the QR code scanning ability at least it works!

Nothing loads or scans. Don’t bother with CTLottery just go to your closest retailer 🥱

Won’t work on my IPad

Scanner worked a few times - now just says errors!

Seems to work ok on my I-phone, but like others have said, it freezes to artwork of tickets on the I-Pad…… after the amount of time it took to get this mobile app out, you would think it would have been well tested.
P.S. just looked at the website and they are apologizing because they are saying the scanner is now having technical problems, DOH

CTLottery is not working well. Somehow I need to be connected? I just want to check which games are out there and be able to check my tickets at home to verify winnings like the old app did. As it stands when CTLottery opens on my iPad it only shows an artist impression of two scratch cards with a heart and nothing further. The old app was more efficient. So I guess I’m not happy with this new app.

I’ve tried to download over several days. Nothing seems to help. Has anyone gotten it to work on an iPad?

Typical Connecticut work they probably over paid to get CTLottery done and it doesn't load.

I was traveling around the country I passed through Connecticut I bought a few tickets in different places the reading was very bad it is very bad

While it’s nice to have an updated app, it would be better if it actually was accurate! I would caution everyone not to rely on the first scan. Scan the ticket again, you will likely get a different result.
I scan a ticket, it says it’s a $2 winner, scan again, it’s not a winner, scan again, it’s a $10 dollar winner, etc. I took the tickets to the scanner at the retailer and found what I believed to be winners were not!
Non winners were! What’s up Lottery, I can’t be the only one who has noticed this! I hope you didn’t pay CTLottery developer a lot of money. You need a refund! Fix it!

I cannot get CTLottery to scan any tickets with iPhone 15 pro.

It works ok with iPhone 12 but can’t focus with iPhone 15 pro.

Why doesn’t the mobile app mimic the CT Lottery website? Why do you have to bounce back and forth between pages to see a full explanation of a particular game, its results, numbers drawn, next drawing, potential winnings, etc. (EX: Look at the TX Lottery site) Why is Fast Cash wagering a secret on the CT Lottery mobile app? It’s not listed with other games. It’s hidden in FAQ.

Would be great if I could actually scan my tickets. Doesn’t matter what I scan I get an error. And I’ve made sure it as updated. Probably bug issues.

It won’t work good with the iPhone 15 pro, you have to pull the phone away, on the pro max works great… but need to fix for the pro

Decent app. Does what it says. For those using an iPad and thinking CTLottery isn’t loading, you need to hold the device in portrait mode in able to see and access the next and skip buttons.

Very frustrating to have to wait so long for CTLottery in order to scan tickets but I have to admit it was well worth the wait. I have used a few app from other states and and I have to say it’s one of the fastest scanner I have used. So far no issues.

I think that would b a great idea especially for seniors like us when we can’t get out all the time ?

I like CTLottery. But it would be better if you could scan your tickets to see if you won like you could do with the old app.

It took five months but it's finally here. It scans my tickets quickly even the slightly wrinkled ones that I had laying around since the old app stopped working.

CTLottery is 100 times better than the old app. Scanning is super fast and it’s layer out in a really easy to read format and it is organized well. It took a long time to get the new app, but worth the wait and work they put into it.

I would like to see better odds on high limit scratch tickets. I bought a $50 scratch ticket, and didn’t even break even
