Problems saving information

I have been using MyQuilts for a year without problems. I have loved the updates and improved functionality. This past week I have not been able to add, edit or save any changes to my posts. I get a pop up that says there have been unexpected errors and to try again. Well I have tried many times again in the last few days and I get the same thing! I cannot find anywhere to report this or anywhere on the site to try and troubleshoot.
Anyone else having problems? Any ideas how to fix it?
I would give the site 5 stars except for this current issue. 😢

Great potential!

There is lots to love about MyQuilts! I’ve been looking for something like this for a while. A few features that would be awesome:

Ability to sort and filter the “my projects” section by various fields (project stage, pattern designer, date started, etc)

Ability to default to not display project as public instead of defaulting to the public setting.

Ability to add categories for project stage and techniques. Already ones I’ve put it don’t quite fit what is available (for example wool appliqué, embroidery, tracking months within a block of the month project)

Consider how to categorize quilts to make, ones that are in the idea stage but no fabric bought yet.

Maybe some kind of project status indicator when you are viewing all your projects at one time? Like a color bar underneath or a badge on each photo or something?

Again, great app! These things would make it an app I would use all the time!

Probably won’t use

This looks like a very nice app. The interface is clean and friendly. There is just one show-stopper problem for me. It is only available on my iPhone. it is not available on my Mac. I am already using a database that I am very happy with. To transfer all that data and photos to a new application using only my phone is really a non-starter. Otherwise, I’d dump my database in short order and use MyQuilts.

Love it so far!

I downloaded this yesterday and added some of my quilts. Two things that has stuck out for me is not being able to see what I have “hearted”. And if at some point you can add a comment section because I would love to tell some of these ladies/men that those quilts are freaking fabulous!!

Good app

I just downloaded MyQuilts and added the quilts I’ve made. It’s easy to use and I have a couple suggestions to make it better: Don’t make Public the default Add Domestic Machine (without FMQ) to Quilting options Have a checkbox to mark the project as Complete Other than these items, this seems a great app!

ETA: The developer listened and has made updates to make MyQuilts even more user-friendly. However, I’m still missing the option to note that I quilted a project on a domestic machine (without FMQ).

Great app!

This is a great app! I love having all of my quilts, in various stages, in one place. I have one suggestion to add to those already submitted: I would love the ability to rearrange the photos within MyQuilts . Mine seem to upload in random order and I would like to be able to re-order them according to stage/level of completion.

So far so good

I downloaded and have been using MyQuilts for about a week. I am hoping that I can get several of my friends to download and add their quilts. I have uploaded 4-5 projects and MyQuilts shows that I have 5 followers. Suggestion to developer: Show who my followers are because maybe I would like to follow them back.

Great app

Recently downloaded, watched the tutorials, and started to add my projects. Very nice. Is there a way to sort projects by date? I couldn’t find this anywhere. It’s looks like the project you last edited appears on top. It would be nice to see older projects added to the bottom of the list. Thanks! Looking forward to the July challenge!

Good app

I’ve finally finished adding my past quilts to MyQuilts but haven’t really used it for tracking progress or looking at other quilters work. I’m just glad to have a place to organize what I’ve made for who. I give away 98% of what I make. With MyQuilts I can more easily see who has/hasn’t received a quilt from me. Thank you!

Let’s get the word out!

I was at a quilt retreat over the weekend. In my class , of 15 quilters, they were discussing keeping a record of all our projects, I told them about the My Quilts app. I was surprised that no one else knew about it! I’m pretty sure that at least three ladies got out their phones right then to get MyQuilts . Let’s get the word out!

Near perfect quilt journal…

I’ve used MyQuilts for just over a year now and love it as much as I did on day one. It’s a great way to journal my quilt making progress from start to finish. I tried pen and paper but having it on my phone works so much better for me.
While it’s still a work in progress, I appreciate that the developers do listen to feedback and do take user suggestions in mind.

Great for a list of quilts you have in progress

It’s easy to add quilt projects to track. I was disappointed when trying to track a BOM project. The options for progress is limited to more of a status like ‘started’, ‘back completed’, binding added’, ‘quilted by’, etc. I was looking to track in my own words like ‘ month 1 complete’, ‘month 2 cut’, ‘rosette 1 in progress’., ‘Month 5 pieces basted’

Love it!

The developer is very responsive to issues. I was getting a black screen on my devices and it was fixed in less than 12 hours. I like being able to organize my current and completed quilt projects. The only issue I see is that, once added, photos appear blown up and you can’t zoom out to see the entire image when you try to look at it.

Wish I had this years ago!

I so wish I had MyQuilts years ago so I could have kept a better record of all my quilts, sewing projects, and handmade gifts I have made through the years.

I am really enjoying being able to record and keep track of my current projects.

Easy to Use!

Love MyQuilts! It is easy to use. I can fill-in as many fields as I want, to keep as much info as I need. I can go back later & add more info. I can add several pictures for each quilt - get that close-up of the quilt design. Image all your quilt projects in one place with all of the info you wish you had at your fingertips!

A must have for quilters

I love MyQuilts! It is the first time all my quilts have been documented together. It’s easy to use and Kileys challenges to add your quilts has really helped to get my quilts in here. The feature to browse other quilters projects is great too. I love seeing all the quilts in progress and embrace the community of quilting MyQuilts embodies. 🩷🩷🩷

Great way to catalogue your quilts

I stumbled upon Kiley while googling a quilting technique. I saw where she and her husband created an app to keep up with all your quilting projects. It’s FREE y’all! It is the perfect way to catalogue everything from progress pics, to the size and type of quilt, to whom you gave it to. Highly recommend!

Best Tracker

As a retired SQA Manager this is one of the friendliest user interfaces I’ve ever used. I started small with only 3 entries and am looking forward to adding 3 more this year. I have many more quilts to enter, yet I have found that focusing on 3 finishes at a time works better for me. Thanks for designing this tool with the users in mind.

Loving this

Easy to use, really free to use, it has a form to fill out with all your quilty information, can update as needed, lets you see what other people are making, give it a try, just make sure to save it (which I forgot once in a while) love that the update fixed the calendar, now I have to go back and check completed on my quilts, but do try it

Great App to organize Quilting Projects

I have loaded about 40 of my completed, in progress, and “next in line” quilt projects. MyQuilts allows you to upload your own photos so I include photos of patterns, including fabrics needed and include photos of fabrics I might use in the project; this allows me to always have what I need for my project shopping. I also include notes of finished size and any other notes and ideas such as quilting thread color. MyQuilts includes fields for quilting designs used (or plan to use), designer, type of piecing, size category, type of quilting and quilted by. It does have options to sort projects by progress, name, or dates. I sort by progress so that I can quickly see what I need to shop for or work on next as those projects will be at the top (I guess I procrastinate on adding borders since I have several at that stage). Suggestion for improvement : Sorting by progress seems to group all completed projects randomly, I wish the completed projects could be sorted by date completed within the sorting by progress sorting.
Great app that I am recommending to all my quilt friends for project planning, tracking, and showing off completed projects. Next time someone asks about the pattern name, fabric used, quilting design, just check MyQuilts .
