Finding an ad-free news app, website..etc is rare these days. The concept of Otherweb is great, however as an IPad user the UI/UX design could use some work as I found the images to be a little too big and overlapped with news “cards”. The option to listen to news is great and the summary is awesome since it makes it easier for me decide whether an article is worth reading. I think there’s a lot of potential with this app!

I really enjoy using Otherweb. Easy to use, flick screen left & right. Otherweb is all you need to keep updated current events/technology/science and more.
I also like they have a nutrition label of language and news resources. Using this label to determine if I would like to share an article to someone.

I love how Otherweb is add-feee and junk-free, it makes reading the news easier for me. I can choose between reading it myself or listening to it, I am able to put my phone down and just listen to it which is super helpful. It covers several news companies as well.

I’m looking forward to giving Otherweb a try, but I can’t even get started! At least one of the modal windows in the intro guide is too big for an iPhone SE (2G) screen, so the button to advance past it is placed off the screen. Hopefully the devs will fix this quickly, because Otherweb sounds like a great idea. I’m giving it 4 stars out of optimism. 👍🏼

Great brief articles, no stupid ads but wish there was a menu screen to show the articles available instead of having to search thru each page.

This is a great app! Love the ability to listen to articles while I’m working or cleaning. There is a “nutrition label” basically grading the article and indicating how many sources there are. Easy navigation and clean interface make Otherweb a winner in my book.

Pretty simple app, you can swipe left or right for articles you like or dislike. You can read or listen to articles. Nice look, not as boring and old-school as most news apps.

I’ve used Otherweb for a couple days now and I’m really impressed with its ad-free and user-friendly interface. The bullet-point summaries, audio readings, and links to full-length articles are great features that allow for adaptability in my busy schedule. I definitely think this has the potential to become an app I use daily.

I am loving the this app app!. I mostly avoid news (not a good thing to do, I know) because of the crazy length of most articles and because of the biases. I desire objective news. And I avoid news articles because of all the ads….sometimes a crazy amount of them. I like the summaries, which let me decide if I want to read the in-depth articles. I like staying informed, but life is busy…..
