We have tried everything they suggested, resting, we’ve uninstalled and reinstalled DDLock , made sure only one phone was pairing, stood close, etc. Nothing works!!! Very frustrated because we bought the lock and drilled into our custom mahogany doors and can’t use any of the functions. The little scanner doesn’t even work.
It connected to my smart lock very quickly. I would love to change my rating for this, but it is not convenient that DDLock doesn’t show if the door is locked or unlocked. I actually am considering ordering more expensive locks with a different compatible app because I hate that this feature is missing.
App is user-friendly, but it needs (requires!) an upgrade (emailed company about this) to show lock status. Initially I thought a work around was to view the lock records, but if someone manually locks or unlocks the door, it’s not on there. Should be a straightforward push…
The lock is ok , DDLock appears ok , but does not send status notification which is turned On - on DDLock and phone . DDLock does not indicate that the lock is open or closed, unless I'm missing something, hopefully the developer has this on list of bugs, or consider updating DDLock to show users how they can be sure the lock is locked or unlocked via DDLock. I put a new batteries 8 months ago use this door every single day multiple times a day and the battery level still says 75%. The lock is slowing down so I know that the batteries are probably getting low, but DDLock is not letting me know that the batteries are losing their charge.
DDLock and lock were very easy to setup. However there were no directions on how to lock the door from the outside using the keypad. Also, I am not getting push notifications of when the door is locked or unlocked. I agree with most reviews the Home Screen should state whether or not the door is locked or unlocked when opening DDLock . The Face ID required to open DDLock hardly works. If you use the Face ID to open DDLock , then close DDLock , the Face ID is not engaged if you reopen DDLock . Makes me feel a bit unsafe knowing DDLock can be opened without a passcode/ Face ID.
Over all DDLock works great and does a very good job at making sure your locks and app syncs up for effortless functionality.
I have the smart lock Wifi and Front door lock and the only recommendation i have is the home screen lock icon, i would say that having the lock icon show unlocked or locked would bring an extra sense of security to the home owner. Even having the lock wifi linked up, does not always give the correct notification that it is locked or unlocked. For example if you manually lock from inside the house and hit the gateway icon to see if the door is locked, it wall say “LOCK-UNLOCKED” when clearly it is locked. Please make update for the lock icon to actually show real time.

DDLock worked great with my Zowill DK07 smart fingerprint door lock till today December 3, 2023. Then without warning the door status sensor no longer recognized was there and working for months. Tried replacing the ds2 and lock batteries, deleting lock and gateway from DDLock , and even reinstalling DDLock . Nothing. Just gone. Door lock functions still work eg finger prints, pass codes etc but now the auto lock when the door is closed when sensed by the DS2 absent.
Would really be beneficial if the lock on the main screen showed if it was locked or unlocked. Not being able to add a quick glance know if the door is locked or unlocked it’s kind of a bummer.
Lots of functional control, but I have to agree with everyone else: the lock status should be shown on the iPhone and Apple Watch both graphically (an open or closed lock icon in green or red respectively) and by simply stating “Locked” or “Unlocked”, and this should be provided by an actual status, not just based on the last action taken.
I’m finding the Records tab is not keeping a completely accurate record of openings and closings.
It would be nice if you could register the Apple Watch and/or iPhone as a card/RF device as well so you could just swipe your wrist by the lock if your hands are full and your fob is in a pocket.
The biggest issue we have is that only one person can be logged into DDLock , and the is no options to allow you to share your login with family members.
Other than that DDLock is straightforward and user friendly.
Similar to other reviews, it would be great if DDLock could actually tell me if it was locked or not locked. Also notifications do not work. Even though I have them turned on I never get notified on my Apple iPhone. Finally I have to upload the data a few times before I finally get recent actions. Ideally, it would be great if the data could get loaded real time and notify me with every action.
It’s a basic but effective app. I’ll re-rate to 5 stars if you allow for auto lock in less then 10 seconds — right now 5 seconds is an option but when selected it throws an error and says the range needs to be “10 to 900 seconds”
DDLock works well so far. It looks like some of the previous complaints have been addressed by the developer. It would be great if WiFi vs Bluetooth connectivity was also an option. But it works well!
I have the lock and gateway all set up so that I can control with Alexa (which I love). I also like that it has records of who is unlocking the door and with which device. I really like that it’s on my watch but it looks like I can only unlock and I can’t see what the status of the door is on either the watch or app. It would be really helpful to know if the door is locked or unlocked for the remote access aspect! Overall happy with purchase and app
If they can update DDLock to show the lock/unlock icon when activated that would help tremendously. Also provide the options for 12hr/24hr and date format would make it a 5 stars
Easy to install and connect. I didn’t realize it was not wifi connected so I had to get a gateway. Was only about $30 more but seemed weird that it would be Bluetooth capable and not WiFi capable. I agree that it would be useful to see on the Home Screen if the lock is in fact locked. Most likely does not simply because if you don’t have the gateway, it can’t. Click the hexagon at the top right hand corner to see lock status. Or if you connect to Alexa, you can see and control a little easier in that app. Overall for price, functionality, and security, it’s pretty solid.
App is super simple to use and took no time to set everything up. I can agree, the only downside is not actually knowing if the deadbolt locks remotely unless you are at the door which would defeat the purpose. Would love to see an update with the feature
This smart lock and app is the easiest and best one to me so far. Actually, we can check the lock status by clicking the “hexagon” on the right top corner, but it will be even better if the lock status is showed without the need of clicking the “hexagon”. No complaints to me. :p
Works but it would be better if lock status was shown on Home Screen. Also many functions need better descriptions
