Very complicated. Wish to have face recognition
The company has many drawbacks.
1) their unlimited data is not unlimited and you will be throttled after very small data usage
2) they stop allowing unlimited whatsapp usage
3) they are sneaky and do not tell you that you can buy packages on the website,
KnowRoamingTraveleSIMs is deceiving where you can only reload certain amounts in large increments
4) the speeds can be horribly slow and the pricing is expensive for what is offered
I would honestly stay away from them. When they whatsapp for free it was great but now its a different story. Use wifi and save money
Most networks are 3G, at best. But the headaches to use this service are huge. I got the sticker SIM card and it is so problematic I tore it off and threw it away. That they expect you to call or email them when you have a problem is not a good solution if you have no data service because the product does not work. They also have quite a bit of attitude when you contact them for help. I can’t imagine non-tech users being happy with this service.
While my initial experience with KnowRoaming was positive, I have to say that the quality of the network service I received on my last and current trip abroad has been extremely poor. If KnowRoaming cannot ensure that network services work in a given destination it should be removed from the list of supported destinations. Even after following the recommendations of their support staff, I found network services to essentially be unusable. I recommend that users think twice before using KnowRoaming. Instead I would recommend that travelers either purchase a local SIM card (best option) or roam using their network provider. Do not waste your money relying on KnowRoaming.
If you had a physical SIM with KnowRoamingTraveleSIMs, KnowRoamingTraveleSIMs now no longer works. Can’t login. Can’t reset password. Complete rug pull by this company.
I can’t log in with older accounts
KnowRoamingTraveleSIMs could have a way for us to receive SMS and text messages inside KnowRoamingTraveleSIMs for the phone number we’ve got. I don’t think this Sim Card service is valuable, just full of charges, expensive service and no messaging services. Once you are out of your region, you can’t get service or receive messages, then why pay for it? I am very disappointed and I wish all my money could be reimbursed, because KnowRoamingTraveleSIMs is just propaganda.
I have never been able to get KnowRoamingTraveleSIMs to work without endless calls to Tech Support who tweaks settings from afar. And even then it is clunky and not reliable. Never again. The two stars is because Tech Support tries, if you can reach them, which is not automatic, since half the time KnowRoamingTraveleSIMs doesn’t even work once you are abroad.
I use 2 sims in my iPhone. Every other travel sim or local sim from other countries work fine but not this one. It makes the iPhone network cut out all the time, slow connection on main sim when the KnowRoaming profile is installed,... and so many other little things make this too much of a hassle. No thanks
Since announcement of sunset of physical SIM cards Knowroaming app cannot let you access your account and you cannot access online through a browser. Considering they are going to delete all existing credit after sept 1st unless you reload it will expire again in 9 months after the last reload date available on sept 9th. Which you cannot access your account to reload anyway. They also won’t move any credits over to an eSIM. This is a big scam.
Definitely good, but still buggy when it comes to switching between home and abroad, and vice versa. KnowRoamingTraveleSIMs also seems to lock up when activating a data package.
Got the KnowRoaming sticker a few weeks ago. Have already used it in U.S., Bermuda, Colombia, Panama, Ecuador and Peru. Latin America has great connectivity in the cities and the packages are well worth it. I have a VoIP service app for my US number and it works perfectly over the 3G service I get with KnowRoaming so I haven't used the call function yet. I've had no big problems switching between countries; sometimes I have to reset the phone, but no big deal. Sometimes I have to reset KnowRoamingTraveleSIMs before the package starts working and it always takes a few cents off my load so I can log in and activate the package; that doesn't seem very fair haha.. Otherwise, this is one of the best inventions I've seen for someone like me who travels constantly. Yes, $8 a day is a little much in some of the countries, but for no hassle/no registration/finding a mobile phone shop in every country, it simply can't be beat and is well worth it; also cheaper than most or all of the "Global Sim Cards" out there. I still have one for the few countries KnowRoaming doesn't support, but this is my go-to from now on. Bravo.
I’ve used KnowRoaming for data in several countries. At first we had some fails, but I’ve learned to plan ahead and contact customer support in advance, or upon arrival. With a little communication and instruction from customer support (who are quickly responsive) I’ve been able to work through any issues. However I think you need to be a tech comfortable user to do what is asked. I still use them because I’ve worked out how to do some of the configuration (outside of KnowRoamingTraveleSIMs ) and for me that ends up easier (and cheaper) than purchasing a local SIM. Plus WhatsApp is free within 30 days of a balance top-up.
I travelled through England, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, and Hungary over the course of a few weeks and rarely encountered problems at all. And the problems I did encounter were completely expected. For example, on New Years in a densely populated urban space, I had trouble getting decent internet speeds until I moved away from the area of activity, which isn’t uncommon. I’m not sure what everyone else here is dealing with or expecting, but I think it’s doing what it should be. It worked well for me.

These KnowRoaming people know what they're doing! You get their sim sticker and it's like you've got a local Cell phone in any country you visit. Magic! Fantastic support by phone, too. (The problem was all mine but they figured it out and didn't make me feel dumb about it. ) I also use their international long distance when I'm home. Totally seamless.
Stay connected while traveling with calling, data and texts. Much simpler and more convenient than sim swopping on arrival. Contactable on your home numbers with the ability to buy additional numbers in countries that you travel. You can also monitor your usage of your calls/data in real time.
I have been waiting for something like this to come out for ages. I'm so happy that I can finally roam freely and affordably. I have T-Mobile in the USA and I purchased this specifically to use domestically when I travel in areas T-Mobile doesn't have coverage. The data is $8 a day for unlimited, that's a great deal!
