DPSS is very helpful for the most part since it saves you from a trip to the offices and from waiting there when needing to present paperwork. The only thing DPSS needs to make it perfect is the ability to receive and view my notices here to easily access them because it’s a bit annoying at the actual website when viewing on smart phone.

For a government assistance app, this is surprisingly easily to navigate. The interface is simple and intuitive, making it easy to check your benefits on the fly. A few extra features would be appreciated, such as being able to start/submit a new application or recertification, but overall it’s a well done application.

App should give option to save login info. Great app to check balance and transactions!

I’m surprised for being LA county I would expect to have better app. But it’s very very simple. Wish it had like your case manager info, doesn’t even have that. Force closes a lot and doesn’t seem that they get the info on the other end of the stick. I uploaded docs and have yet to hear back on my case. DPSS has like 4 buttons and that’s it. It’s very very simple, guess it would help elderly folk with no info in technology but for people my age, you’ll just get frustrated.

takes for ever to upload documents... Doesn’t have an upload meter or bar just a wheel from the 90’s that usually tell you, Device got stock or no internet??? just confusing...

If you are self employed forget about getting any help... They think every self employed person is rich according to them... You have to be homeless and living on street to get any kind of help. If you have $500 on the bank you are consider wealthy?

Burocracy at it’s best....

DPSS is for people who already applied or have an open case. It isn’t for applying. DPSS description tells you what you can do through DPSS and what you have to go to the website to do. As long as you understand that, you’re good.

DPSS is great and so convenient but can we please get options for different languages? I have participants that don’t speak english and cannot navigate this amazing tool to get their benefits sooner than later. Not everyone has a family member that speaks english well enough to help them out and that cuts into out “same day approvals.”

DPSS works for me. I am able to lookup information with no problems. I don't know why other reviewers are having a hard time using DPSS.

LA Municipal and County bureaucracy is awful.

However, even though DPSS looks like crap, it’s designed surprisingly well. Information and instructions are clearly presented.

I’ve had trouble submitting my documents through DPSS. They seem to submit within a month my benefits stopped coming. I haven’t received benefits since November. It takes forever to upload and the workers don’t seem to get the information sent from here. DPSS is either fake or it needs more than a bug fix . Upgrade.

DPSS has saved me hours over having to scan or mail in info. I can also check my EBT balance simply.

I can’t upload documents. The screen will just stay at “submitting documents” and they never submit. DPSS logs me out

This is now finally a decent app and not just a website copy. It works well. Congrats to the IT department. Well done.

DPSS will randomly paste from my clipboard in my phone. I suggest if you don’t want to have an app doing that, do not download DPSS. Otherwise is good if you want quick access to your account.

Bugs not fixed. App constantly force closes

Waited thirty minutes on the phone for someone to tell me to fill an application out through DPSS . Only problem is there are no applications on DPSS .

Could use a simple UI and less graphics

Couldn’t do anything because it says that a primary person can access info or something along those lines

Anytime you try to upload more than one document it CRASHES….guess we shouldn’t expect anything more

I’ve been using DPSS for 6 months and all of a sudden it says “No benefits for this case” I hate DPSS. It’s one thing after the next. Wish I could give 0 stars. 😡

Can’t upload no documents and sar 7 isn’t available

So, entering my case number and being able to login was very quick and easy, great, but then came the issue of trying to upload the information... DPSS won't give me an option to send/take photos of my documents no matter how many times I've tried refreshing DPSS . It asks for me to select a case from a list of nothing which greatly frustrated me. I figured with my case number, it'll already be selected and allow me to quickly take photos and be done with this but it just wasn't so. Despite knowing what my case was about and despite how quickly it verified my identity, it wouldn't let me do what I needed to do.

I am so very glad to finally find a way to get to my benefits without all the drama which previously existed. The real benefit is being able to get my information in on time and in a fashion which really allows my worker to get that information when needed. No more excuses for beneficiaries to say they couldn't find the work or that the dog ate it. Thank you this app for DPSS!!!

DPSS should make your experience easier but how can it if you can’t login?? It keeps on giving me a “connectivity issue” message and won’t let me login in. I dealt with the same issue a year ago and nothing’s changed.

I deleted DPSS and reinstalled it 6 times and it worked once but I can’t login back in. So, I tried my iPad and it worked once again but I’m not able to log back in.

The issue is DPSS itself and not the user. I know how to login in and use it because I have before. This needs to be resolved so it serves its purpose.

Neat application to upload verification documents. My experience was decent, I first had to submit my application online using a computer. I received a request for document verification a few days later. I was able to download the application, log in and my case file was ready for me to upload my documents. The application is a bit buggy but the functionality is there.

What can I say, it's not exactly an all inclusive sorta app, but it kept me from having to walk into their nightmare of an office today. I was able to submit necessary documents from the comfort of my home and that's what it's all about! Anything more complicated would really be over most peoples' (needing DPSS) head, anyways. So given that, nice app. Very functional.
