A2ZContacts has really messed up my iphone‼️‼️ when i installed & opened it had saved my contacts. ok so i cked out several & found they had been a bit -like ID on a # was changed on quite a few contacts. i opened app again to contact someone & found contacts saved again-BUT DUPLICATED‼️ for heck of it- closed/opened -i am up to 2987 contacts. let’s just say that’s almost 6Xs my contacts. + they are really “scattered” w/in my list. i emailed, got a response fm a donald, tried to explain, email back saying not gonna happen. nxt you got it-not heard fm “donald” r anyone again. there’s no way to fix it nut to go thru every contact. BUT each contact is not saved the same way. now i’ve lost some impt data i can’t get back. i can’t even find a word that can express frustrations.
has anyone had anything remotely close to this bizarre jerk⁉️ i deleted app so i didn’t get 6000 contacts‼️also just discovered it’s duplicated my pictures‼️‼️ my carrier can’t seem to help altho i’ve not talked w/ tech & that’s as soon as i finish this.

There’s too many versions of this particular contact app. One does this, one does that, and each one has a price tag on it. I don’t even know which one I’m reviewing. All the icons are too similar to differentiate between them. I bought and used one for Contacts only after I purchased one to sync contacts between Google and iCloud. Apps need full access to your phone and info in order to work. Backup data is app specific also. I had an issue with my contacts going from 100+ to over 1200+. Randomly duplicated some contacts but not others. Basically, I didn’t have a good experience. I will say that customer service was quick to reply and assist with my issue despite my less than pleasant demeanor. The whole thing could just be beyond my understanding. I’m less knowledgeable about these things than others. Rating based on personal experience only. You may be smarter and have better luck.

It is very efficient at handling contacts and mailing to big groups. I don't mind typing on the I phone as we travel although the message goes below the keyboard and won't roll up so you have to hope you are typing correctly until you finish.
But the big burn that has me ready to throw the phone against the wall is the ease with which the message disappears forever before you are done. Look at it sideways and it's gone. Check the time, answer a call, open another screen, fall asleep while typing and gone. No chance to find it saved as a draft or to save to complete later. Only one choice, start over! Seems like such a basic feature, I don't understand why there is no way to save as a draft.

The “groups” function on iphone is pretty stupid if u ask me, I got a new mac book and only like half my contacts were synced to it while all my contacts remained on my phone. After working with apple support for an hour we ran out of options and they gave up. I did some more poking around and found A2ZContacts. I was quickly able to send all my contacts on my phone to my mac via airdrop and then my mac updated all the contact cards. The 2 dollar premium was easily worth it to send all of them at once. Apple should have already had the ability to do this, but this is a good replacement

If only I didn’t have to worry about notes disappearing…I have to copy all I write, close the contact and re-open it to check to see if notes are still there or if they must be pasted back in.

At worst I have to paste them in 3 times before they stick (when I make a contact from “Recent” calls). At best I don’t have to paste them back in at all. Best results: add notes in edit mode.

The other bug is even bigger: haphazardly erases addresses! It’s hard to tell if this has been fixed because I regularly discover missing addresses but am not always sure how old the contact is. I would say that it happens less often than it used to and I’ve been using A2ZContacts for at least 5 years.

I have been using A2ZContacts for several years now. I chose it because it seems to be the best option for mass texting. However, I have had issues on quite a few occasions where only part of my group is receiving the text messages that I send out. Also, I have put in a request a few times and would love to see an option for scheduled text messaging. The owner has responded quickly each time and said he would be implementing that and just has not been able to yet. Would love to see that in the very near future. It would save me a ton of time and help in creating text on the spot so that they are not forgotten or missed. Please! Please! Please! Add this feature!

Some how I thought this would help sync my google contacts with my iPhone. If it can I cannot figure it out after an hour of trying. The Sync option does not send an entry in gmail contacts to my phone.

I originally gave 1star but I am changing it to 5. I sent an email with my problem. Within hours I got a response. They subsequently solved my problem

The contact that would not sync was in a group called others. I do not know how that happened and I know nothing about groups. (That now is on my to do list). When I moved the contact to the main group the sync worked. Thanks, Support.

I was counting on A2ZContacts to help me send out emails to my google groups. Unfortunately it won’t do this well at all.
My contacts synced well and my groups appear on A2ZContacts . But after using it about 4 times I have found that the emails are not received by recipients for hours after the email was sent.
Support has told me that it is likely something on my end, but I have no other issues with my ISP, Wi-Fi, or any other emails. As I write this I sent a group email an hour and a half ago ( of which I am on the recipient list) and still no email has come through. In keeping with what I have experienced, I’m sure that within the next hour or so the message will appear. Annoying when you want to send a group email to your kids sports team with some time sensitive info.
Do not use A2ZContacts for group emails. Very disappointing.

I was using A2Z for about a year. In the beginning it was great. But with each iOS update it became much slower. It performed with a “hangover.” I reached out to the developer and they resolved the issue (a few days later) with their own update. Back in business. However, when Apple sent out an iOS 11 update that’s when A2Z took a 💩on me!!!
Every group I had created was either emptied or severely compromised making them virtually useless. After contacting A2Z again all they said was... yup sorry we know, it won’t happen again. You’re so right A2Z... I have DELETED A2ZContacts . Bye-Bye!!

I have Apple iPad and have a lot of contacts that are grouped. The email software that comes with this iPad does not lend itself to sending email to contact groups. This A2ZContact software accomplishes that, but not necessarily in a seamless fashion. The manual or instructions for using this software is somewhat sparse, but is better than no instructions.

It does what it claims it can do and one can not therefore beat up the software author in that arena. I am pleased also with the privacy terms and conditions especially and therefore I would give it an excellent review just on that note. Would you want third-party people capturing your contact names and related information? I certainly don't.

I have been desperately trying to segregate the over-synced contacts of my 5 email accounts synced with my best friends 9 email accounts, 8 phone numbers and 5 physical addresses... to ABSOLUTELY NO AVAIL! (I’m his POA while he’s ‘away @ College...’) I have been exercising extreme tenacity for 2 straight weeks, yet my attempts have proven futile. I am EXTREMELY frustrated with this crap app! I had intended on making a purchase of a subscription had A2ZContacts performed as described! I, instead, will be searching for an alternate app that will suit both of our needs, in lieu of paying for this underachieving excuse for an app. Thank you for wasting my valuable time and even more valuable patience. 🤬 sadly enough, I am unable to give it the appropriate rating of -⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is one of those Apps that I use over and over again. I communicate with several large groups and being able to send messages quickly and efficiently and effortlessly is a truly a blessing. A2ZContacts integrates with my contacts so I don’t have to manually add them but I can if I choose. The only limitation on the the number of recipients is with my carrier but that is easy to overcome because I can set the number of recipients A2ZContacts does all the work for me. Great app. 10 stars in my book.

I have come to rely far more on A2ZContacts than on Apple’s address book app. A2ZContacts makes organization into groups much easier. I have it synced to the gmail or google cloud. Just make sure your not also syncing your Apple computer address book to the cloud at the same time. If you do, you’ll get a lot of duplicates, and in my case old outdated info that gets merged all together with this address book. It’s still a little confusing at times as to how to set it up and add new names to groups, etc. But once it’s done it’s easy to use.

Just started using A2ZContacts and I already did an in app purchase to ensure that it lives on. If you do group emails and/or texts, this will be an invaluable tool. I already have the google content sync app which works flawlessly. I just push my iOS contacts which are already synced with Windows outlook into my google contacts which I do use with some google apps. I have encouraged the developer to do an analogous Calendar Sync app. These apps are well thought out and intuitive. I highly recommend them.

You will not be disappointed with A2ZContacts. I searched long and hard trying to find one that served my needs. I don’t need many features, but this one is perfect. It offers many more features than I need and that’s a good thing. I might need them in the future. Grouping is my favorite feature. The screen layout is another, it’s so easy to use and make entries. I have used A2ZContacts for many many years and absolutely love using it.

This is a well written and stable app that fills in so many things missing in standard iPhone contact app. Includes things like when the contact was actually input and defining groups for your contacts. I use it for business contact list where I can sort and prioritize contacts into groups. I don’t know how I would operate without these basic functions. Great job on A2ZContacts!

I like A2ZContacts. It solved my problem re sending group emails and I subscribed right away so I could establish groups of up to 100. However, it has a few bugs. In the send email function, it allows editing of an address but often sticks. The nice thing is it seems to save the changes, but it is necessary to reboot A2ZContacts to finish the email. I read this criticism online before I downloaded A2ZContacts , but I also agree with another comment that said that person liked the privacy policy. So far, it is a good guarantee of individual privacy.

It’s still my Apple Contacts replacement, and it sits on the first page of my Home Screen! The PRICE IS much more than REASONABLE, so by paying this “almost free” amount, you’re just acknowledging the fact that developers need to eat, too!

They release TIMELY UPDATES (new OS, etc …). They release TIMELY BUG FIXES. They release TIMELY NEW FEATURES. And, as I mentioned before, their yearly subscription price is VERY, VERY, VERY REASONABLE, to the point of being almost “free”. I would still subscribe, even if they doubled or tripled their price!

They are also ETHICAL, in that they ARE NOT “hit and run” app developers! They DO NOT leave their users “high and dry”, after the first release! They are also in it for the LONG TERM (as far as this VERY HAPPY USER can tell)!

ALL of the “ A2ZContacts IS GREAT” features are there (and then some), so:

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I use A2ZContacts every day to save time communicating with my team. I set up groups and by using their Contacts Sync app, everything, including my group changes, is synced with my Google contacts. Changes in GC reflect on my iPhone and vice versa. My favorite feature though, is the merge feature. It allows you to send completely personalized mass texts and emails using templates so you don’t have to retype frequent messages.

When I sent a note to the developer about a problem preventing me from sending a message to more than 5 participants at a time on my iPhone, Donald got back with me within hours with an explanation, and with his plans for correcting the problem. Then he made an update to A2ZContacts and let me know by email about the update. This was a great experience! Thanks!

I like A2Z quite well. It falls down on one issue. It’s ‘slightly’ ackward to bring up a group or work with groups. I have another app on my phone that does groups slightly better, about one click less cumbersome. That’s not much to complain about but it’s not zero either. Alas he other app doesn’t work well on my iPad so here I am. Happy, satisfied, but just a little disappointed.

I’ve had A2ZContacts for about 4yrs, and what I love about A2ZContacts was that the way I can manage all my contacts (more than 1,200) is very simple... specially the groups!! Not even Apple has this feature on their iPhones and iPads.

Even though I’ve had it this long, what made me write this review was that last nigh I had a concern, and in less than 24hrs I had my response!!

This feature has performed as I would have expected for a very long period of time. Getting in touch with a group 34 golfers with a touch of a finger is a real time saver and maintenance free. I received this ap as a “heads up” from a fellow golfer and have appreciated the benefits ever since.
