I’m giving it a 1 star a few reasons. I really couldn’t tell what all PhotoEditor could do and so I paid the full price for everything. Once I did that the shop page acts as if I still needed to buy separate items and when I went to change to the main page it prompts me to watch a video to remove the watermark. Excuse me? I just paid $6.99 for that (EVERYTHING). Strike one. Ok so I import a pic to edit and add a basic filter to. Even tapping ORIGINAL which should restore the image to its original state destroyed the original imported image and smeared it with this weird foggy layer - it’s awful and makes filters unusable for me where other apps work just fine. Strike two. Next I tried the magazine layout because that could be useful for some things I might do. Each layout has a template with words across but I couldn’t figure out how to edit the default text so it says useless things like PICLAB and never in my life would I need your app name on any project I’m working on. Strike three. DONE. I’m not asking for a refund because of my own idiocy. Don’t make my mistake thinking buying it will make it more useful. These guys obviously never tested this before shipping it out or don’t care what customers think. Either way enjoy my $6.99 - you deserve this review

I touch the text to bring up editing features like the three bubbles for shadowing and it no longer shows the shadows of any color on any color font! You can’t put letters on same color backgrounds anymore and when you use this feature it saves the top left portion of the text only??? What happened to PhotoEditor? I didn’t pay money to have all of the features unlocked only to be screwed in an update! And it’s not a hiccup because I deleted PhotoEditor and reinstalled it - in the immortal words of Yukon Cornelius...NOTHIN’

Well, you said you fixed the shadow effect for the fonts, but no! This recent update did not fix the issue that is most frustrating to me. And for you to give a response to say the problem is fixed is very disingenuous. I hope people read this and don’t actually pay money to unlock features if they’re only going to be changed or messed up and developers can’t even figure out how to make a small fix. Especially when it used to work just fine! Very disappointed 😔

I’ve been using PicLab for years now. I love their features and think the variety and number of stuff you get from the package deal is awesome. But I recently got a new phone (iPhone XR) and the different screen makes it so some things aren’t accessible, such as the “Family & Friends” sticker folder. Additionally the ability to add shadows to things has just completely disappeared. I’m only giving two stars to bring this to their attention partly because I’m not sure where my mobile message to support went but also because I’m hoping that this is seen ASAP!

Other than these minor glitches it’s pretty awesome, although the inability to have shadows does make it harder to complete a lot of projects involving pictures with text &/or sticker overlay.

Hoping a fix for these issues might already be in the works, and if not then I really hope they will be soon! The one sticker folder I can live without for the time being, but the shadows I can’t given the type of projects I use PhotoEditor for. I don’t want to go anywhere else but I may have to in order to complete my projects 😔

I’m really bumming out because PhotoEditor has been my best friend since 2013!

I tried to add “National GO Red Day” to a team work photo and every time I save the photo, the word “Day” part gets cut off from the pic. Not sure why this is happening, since the text is all within the photo frame. This has happened to several photos where Happy Birthday would get cut off when I try to add my own text. I love PhotoEditor but hate that how this always glitches with the text feature.

Another issue is that I purchased the full sticker package and can’t select the last option “friends and family”. I have the latest iPhone and surprised how I’m unable to select it.

I was using an iPhone 5s when I got PhotoEditor. I paid to unlock everything. When I upgraded to an iPhone 8 plus (using the same apple id) I redownloaded it and restored purchases but it didn’t work. I contacted apple support and they told me to contact developer. As adviced by apple support, I contacted developer and it took them forever to respond. I decided to just pay to unlock everything again and didn’t bother wasting time waiting for their response. 5 months after, the sticker pack won’t download. The borders that I previously downloaded one by one have to be redownloaded again. This is very disappointing.

Support is a joke. I purchase the $6.99 unlock bundle a few weeks ago. After purchasing I was still unable to use the premium features, it just kept asking for me to pay again. I sent WeHeartIt support numerous emails including screenshots and actual screen recordings from my phone that show I was logged in with the Apple ID I used to buy the upgrade but still unable to use the premium features. The purchase also shows under my Purchase History. After a few emails back and forth and then sending the screen recording and another follow up email, it’s been five days now and “support” has completely stopped responding. I would not recommend upgrading to the paid version of PhotoEditor because if you have an issue getting what you paid for, WeHeartIt support won’t be able to help you.

This is the BEST, most superior photo editing app I have ever used, except that text import bugs are not really fixed. I have complained for years, but the problems persist. You cannot copy and paste text without it being absurd to edit. It comes into PhotoEditor in a long vertical column, each word stretched out. When you try to fix this, it goes into an enormous horizontal configuration. When you try to fix that, it freezes, or deletes text or you have to do all this manual manipulation which takes forever and usually won't give you the prompts you need to get it done. I normally would go directly to tech support, but after doing this many times, the problem is still there. I am extremely frustrated. I've tried using other apps instead, but none are as good as this one minus this problem. Please fix it!!!

I got PhotoEditor for free a few years ago and paid the extra $6.99 to unlock everything.

It’s a bit expensive to unlock everything at first, but it’s my favorite app for editing photos because of how many stickers and filters they have to choose from, and because of how easy it is to restore purchases.

My only complaint would be that they removed the FRIENDS sticker package from the updated app. I understand it may not be as trendy anymore or there could be copyright issues, but I really liked being able to slap Joey’s face and catchphrase on my photos.

I had already purchased the expanded features and was attempting to modify a photograph. When I tried to remove the watermark, it took me to a screen requiring me to buy the features again. I could not recall how long ago I had purchased the features, and thinking maybe my purchase had expired, I agreed to buy the features. Luckily the Apple store indicated I had already purchased and asked if I wanted the features for free. I said “yes,” but when I went back to my picture, it wouldn’t let me finish but instead I was again taken to the purchase features window. I tried to close out and go back, neither of which did anything, and then hit the “redo” icon and it said my prior purchases were “restored.” Why would I need to restore something I have already purchased? What an incredible waste of time.

If you are interested into some filters and fun customization things for your pictures then download PhotoEditor! I’ve been using it for a little less than a year and I’m so addicted! I’m still learning how to do the cool filters but overall it’s a good app. It does have some in app purchases but it doesn’t pop up all of the time (unless if you are using a filter it might pop up) like some of the other picture apps I’ve tried. So if you don’t like it well... Everyone doesn’t need to like PhotoEditor but it’s good for me

I am having a very difficult time trying to add a text box to a collage. I would add one text box and be able to change the color of the text just fine, but when I add a second box, I am unable to change the font color or font style.
Also when I finish editing a picture and save it to my phone, the result looks different from what I see as my final product. Text boxes not showing up or randomly placed on the picture not anywhere near where I wanted it.
Long story short, there are a lot of bugs with this, and if someone can respond to this and fix the problem that would be appreciated. I paid for PhotoEditor and it would be nice if it worked properly.

I often download whatever is touted to be the latest and greatest app. But for photo editing, PICLAB is the one I always come back to for reliable results. It is intuitive to use which helps us non-techies!!😄 If a bug pops up after an update, the support staff gets it fixed in a reasonable amount of time which is important to me in apps I actually have paid to use. I really enjoy sharing my photos after cropping and creatively enhancing them to suit my whim—thanks PICLAB for giving such a good assortment of tools all in one place!

I’ve been using this photo editor fir a year or so. I only use the basic package. If it was a seamless perfect software photo editor I would likely pay for the top tier photo editor. It works about half the time. Which means 50% of the time I have to re-do a photo edit or close the entire app and start over. I will say I’ve been able to get some cute edited photos of my grand babies using the basic package - it just took me a few tries to get there. I’m retired software / firmware training specialist so I feel my expectations for users is reasonable.

Iv had PhotoEditor for years & have been using it for years but all of the bugs, issues & advertisements have gotten worse slowly & slowly & Iv came to the conclusion that I can no longer stand it. I cannot save anymore photos from PhotoEditor, every time I finish editing a photo & try to go save it to camera roll.. an AD pops up & when the AD is done my screen goes black & stays that way till i go back to the home screen. I have a brand new phone & tried reinstalling PhotoEditor . Still does it everytime. Also, the watermarks got bigger & takes up a 3rd of my photo. I dont wanna have pay just take a word off my photo. No one wants a watermark dude. I just wanna put a border on my photo & save it okay?

PhotoEditor really is fantastic, I've just got one problem: my purchases aren't restoring. I paid $7 for the full upgrade but later on I deleted PhotoEditor , reinstalled it, and even though I logged in it's not working. I click the shop, get told that the restoration was successful, only to be redirected to the shop and thrown into an endless loop of this. Anyone else have this issue? I'm gonna delete and re-download to see if that helps. Other than that, it rocks! 5/5 stars for sure.

I have had PhotoEditor several months. I am unimpressed with its functionality. Problems have not been corrected with updates.
Constantly freezes and certain functions will stop working mid use, requiring a reboot of PhotoEditor . (Inability to change the color of the font is the one I run into most often). This closes out anything you were working on without saving it, so you must start over.
I use this for business so it actually interferes with my work and wastes valuable time. I paid for full access to all features, and while I like the options it has, it isn’t worth all the trouble.
I will be purchasing a new app for photo editing. Disappointed to have wasted $6.99.

I had had PhotoEditor for YEARS. Its literally the best photo word/sticker editor out there. I love it... except the new update!! Ugh its buggy from hell. My export’s wording is always messed up (half there, makes it tiny and in the top corner, ect). The stickers are working but they too sometimes are half there like they were erased! I paid for PhotoEditor, and the extras and love it... except now its buggy 😕 please fix and I will leave my better review!

I bought this because I was trying to do a text overlay with my 11 pro max and didn’t want the watermark. However, PhotoEditor is very un-user friendly. If you save a photo with text on it, and then try to continue to edit it, even though PhotoEditor hasn’t been closed and the image is still on the screen, it completely messes up the format and you basically have to start all over. The beauty tool- I’m unaware of what this does because it prompts me to open my gallery or search the web for an image. It’s just such a poorly designed app- there are wayyyy better free ones without the frustration this one comes with. Going to delete off my phone and chalk it up to a $6.99 loss. Hah!

I’ve used PhotoEditor for a few years for everything from organizing photos for my recipes to sales on sites like Poshmark, Etsy and eBay, as well as personal photo editing. I would love to see a few new collage options, especially one allowing for six uniform pictures. Maybe for a future update?

I love PhotoEditor! My friend told me to take a few pictures of her, and so I did. Before she asked me to take pictures I had never used PhotoEditor . I decided to try PhotoEditor out after taking the pics, and they turned out AMAZING!! 😍😍 Even my friend said soon she’d might have to start “paying me” because of how much she enjoyed the pictures. I love using PhotoEditor to edit my photos! It’s the best and my recommendation to any person who needs a photo editing app!

I used to love PhotoEditor, but over the last several months it's gone from bad to worse. I can no longer remove the watermark(video doesn't load), use stickers, and most recently use purchased sticker packs. I've attempted to email them from within PhotoEditor and also through PhotoEditor Store with no success. Meaning that the links to their support page aren't working. I type an email and the send button doesn't work so I can't even send the email. It's gotten beyond frustrating that I can't contact support to get help with these issues. Crossing my fingers I find a solution sooner than later...

I don’t really have any complaints with PhotoEditor. However, there is a particular feature I wish was added. When it comes to choosing borders, I feel it would be a lot easier to increase or decrease the border size based on a number line, rather than having to expand or shrink the border size by only being able to guess what is a decent size. With a number value applied to change the border size, it makes making photos of the same size much easier.

I’ve personally been using PhotoEditor for months. I’ve used it for a lot of things because it’s quick and easy. I bought the pass for everything and it’s just amazing. PhotoEditor is great for simple things you need like some text here and there or some other things that you want to do without buying a whole app that doesn’t work in the end. In my opinion, this is highly recommended.

I enjoyed editing my picture but there aren’t as many options as many other apps that I use for photo editing. It didn’t take long to find out that much of what I wanted had to be purchased. There would be one and sometimes two stickers or sayings that I would have liked to use, but they were only available for purchase of a whole set. And I couldn’t find out if I could color the stickers so they weren’t all white, which doesn’t do much if your background is white or light.

I have been using PhotoEditor for about 2 yrs. At first it worked great. Since the latest update I can’t see the stickers :( I have had to purchase the stickers 3 times and still can’t see them in PhotoEditor . The text edit tools freezes and doesn’t let me go back to edit color ... Why is it so bad? I wish I had the old App. I’m deleting it and getting something else.

I have reached out to support who keep telling me what I already know. However, when I click on the color wheel, nothing happens. Frustrating and will have to find another app to make album cover art. Used to love PhotoEditor, but it’s useless if I can not change font colors.
