Hey geniuses Before you ask customers to try out the mobile deposit app you might wanna make sure it works. I take a picture of the front and take a picture of the back and I get a blank window with and x and nothing happens after that. I close the window with a little X and no transaction history is found. How about a progress bar or a countdown timer or something to tell me what it’s doing? Fail, Moving on to another bank.

Update: finally got it to work after three tries. Had another bug, results window was only 1/8 screen height but figured out how to scroll that little window to hit the submit window.
After 4 days it finally says pending.

Would have been faster to use the atm. Ugh

OrrstownBank, might just be for me, but it’s extremely buggy and glitchy. Every time i log in OrrstownBank says I need to register my device; I look at my bank several times a day, and it’s problematic when I need to keep registering my device, ironically it doesn’t always work. What I mean, is when I go to the page to register my device, if I go back to the login page it’ll take me to the register device page again, but if I go back to the login AGAIN it’ll just let me through, but that also means I have to put my information in several times before I can actually access my account. Not to mention OrrstownBank does not have a lot of features the web page does, which is understandable but there are certain things I’d like to do on my phone, that I should not only have access to via PC. It’s an okay app for just seeing your current balance, but OrrstownBank lacks a lot of basic banking functionality features.

The system is less then ideal. Lacks enough electronic payments. I have some payments take two weeks to clear and that’s to blue cross and Aetna. Gets to a point that it’s better to write a check which is disappointing. Don’t trust your bill payer. I had one payment sent on BP and rejected both times. Verified correct address with company and still returned. Finally wrote a check. Prior bank BP was 5 stars unfortunately they closed offices.

Not to_undervalue the level of convenience this has added to my life. As far as that goes, OrrstownBank is wonderful.

It does concern me that when I open OrrstownBank often times it will open to the place where I was last in OrrstownBank , before prompting me for my password. During that time, I can see my account information and the last four digits of all my accounts. I’m pretty sure I could screenshot that before it goes to the password request.

I also have noticed that taking photos of my mobile deposit checks gets kind of glitchy at times. Canceling the photos I’ve taken, or not gearing up the camera.

The most concerning thing for me is this new thing that happens when I mobile deposit my checks. After I make the deposit, it off and tells me there is some sort of error, and I am asked if I want to continue or not. I called about it. I was told it is a new thing that they are working on and shouldn’t be of any concern to me. But I don’t know when it would be not a concern to me When I am getting a message saying my money might not go into my account. I don’t know too many people that wouldn’t worry when that kind of announcement is made.

I’ve had the mobile app for years and recently received a little five dollar check from People’s to promote the “new” mobile deposit feature. I see that the screenshots here in OrrstownBank Store show it, but it’s not actually updated in OrrstownBank . There’s no update available either

Other than that, I like OrrstownBank . The financial tools for budgeting and whatnot are neat

I have used other Mobile Banking Apps that in comparison are far superior to this one. I have tried multiple times to deposit checks, with no success. I am able to view my balances, and not much else. I wish they would update, streamline and enhance OrrstownBank, as I believe it could be quite useful. Until then, I will have to schedule-in stops to the Bank. *sigh

I’ve been able to navigate OrrstownBank very simply for years with no issues or confusion. It really helps with having a disability and not being able to get into a local branch often. I’m still able to do the majority of my banking with ease on OrrstownBank . Very much appreciate OrrstownBank ’s consistency of having a smooth process. Thank You.

OrrstownBank is so easy to use. Only one problem I have is linking to another bank. I think I need to go in and talk to some one.
Any time of the day I can get my balance. Just had a massive car bill, the first ever. Thanks to Peoples app, I was able to watch my account and have the money for repairs.

I stopped using this bank about a year and a half ago because the mobile banking part was terrible. In bank service was great but I couldn’t deal with having issues checking my account and doing all the things other banks can do on OrrstownBank ! But I just started using it again a few months ago and it’s great!

The only reason it’s not a 5 star is because the last couple weeks OrrstownBank hasn’t let me direct deposit my checks.

Local bank always best. Many reason why should we deal with local bank. But here is one simple one, anything issue you need to deal just stop by at bank and manager or Vice President always there to help 🙏 and not many phone calls or wait in phone for hours and hours think for sec and open account in local bank. Thank you

I am satisfied with OrrstownBank as long as you are done updating every time you update is when I need access to my account and Visa card which both are out of operation for me when you do updates. Do you know how frustrating it is!!!!! when I go to get gas and need to have access to MY money I have in this bank and you with holding my funds from me when I need it most I am to the point I’m about to leave all together!!!!!!!!!!

Our Family joined PeoplesBank upon our arrival in Southern Pennsylvania in 2004, following my retirement from the Maryland State Police. I had forgotten how friendly banks "used to be and the quality of personal interest, insight, guidance and care their employees offered." PeoplesBank is the type of Bank that offers those services and care on a truly personal and family levels!

PeoplesBank has given our Family such marvelous service and we thank Those employees who provide those quality and personal at the South Hanover location!

Use OrrstownBank all the time, no problems! The only thing I noticed is sometimes it takes awhile for transactions to actually “post” to my account, not sure if that’s an app or PeoplesBank problem 🤷‍♀️

Peoples Bank is fantastic, easy to work with, friendly people to do business with. In all of the years I’ve been banking peoples is the only bank where they know your name without looking at your account.

I don’t need fancy. Just need to be able to view my accounts, transfer when I need to and deposit checks— all in an efficient manner. With OrrstownBank, I can do all that. It may not be the best banking app out there, but for daily-life necessities, it does the job.

I’ve had no problems with OrrstownBank although it will disappear from my phones app page I just need to go back to Apple Store and put it back on my phone. I can deposit checks from anywhere right at the time a check is given to me. This feature alone is huge. Thanks People’s Bank for giving your customers a great option, and so much more!

OrrstownBank is really great and easy to use and the display is always easy to navigate, however I would like to see the symbols again, I knew where my money was going and what kind of expenses I was sending my money too!!!

I love OrrstownBank . It’s very easy to navigate. I can look at old transactions, transfer money and I love that they give you a heads up about when they’ll be updating. I haven’t had any issues with my direct deposits.

I have yet to find fault with OrrstownBank . I deposit checks and have no issues. Sometimes it’s lagging on updates on balance.
