Account lockout 3-5 business days!

January 16, 2020
The web portal team contacted me by phone and email today. It’s been 10 business days since I reported the problem below. I informed them that after reporting the problem below with logging into this app using mac iOS and iPhone, I WAS ABLE to access the account I created by using Microsoft Windows Explorer browser instead of Safari iOS. Fortunately I did not have to wait the 3-5 business days for them to get back to me! After logging in using Microsoft Windows Explorer I WAS able to Confirm my email account. THEN I was ABLE to login to the iPhone this app app. The this app iPhone app has been working smoothly and is very easy to use and navigate!

[January 2, 2020
Unacceptable! Just started with this app yesterday, January 1, 2020. Their web portal was down and still is. I Created a new account, but experienced an account lockout. Called them. They said their web portal is down. They will submit a ticket to the web portal team and the web portal team will get back to me in 3 -5 business days! I haven't been able to login to even use IBX ! It allows creation of your account, but once you create the account, it requires email verification. The web portal sends the email to you, you click confirm and then it goes to a web page that says ‘error forbidden’. Then your brand new account is locked out and will take 3-5 business days for the web portal team to get back to you!]

Terrible interface

Using saved passwords to sign in does not work. You must manually type or paste the password in. I enabled Face ID and it never asks me for it when opening IBX . IBX does not support any iPhones with a notch. Content is displayed under the view of the notch. The X button to exit most screens is hanging off the top right side of the screen (barely noticeable and can hardly press it). I was able to add my card to Apple wallet last year, but this years card doesn’t show the option to add. App is very dated looking, picture content and some icons are fuzzy, and the entire interface is NOT intuitive at all. Please simplify it, optimize it to work with all iPhone resolutions, and get the button layout fixed. All the money I pay for this insurance and they can’t afford a knowledgeable app developer. SMH.

Worthless

I tried to select a primary care provider on the this app website using Safari on my iPad. It kept giving me errors and wouldn’t let me do it. So I downloaded IBX on my iPad to try doing it that way. When I try in IBX it says “this service isn’t available on this platform” and then lists the platforms it is available on, which include “iPad app” and “iPhone app”. I am using the iPad app and obviously that doesn’t work, not sure what platform it thinks I am using, but IBX and the this app website are horrible. The only thing I have been able to do on them is to set up recurring payments, which of course this app wants you to do. Setting up service is another story entirely, this app evidently wants to make that as frustrating and hard to do as possible.

Could be better

Right off the bat, IBX is disappointing. The login screen doesn’t support password managers (neither apple’s built-in solution, or 3rd party managers). My health information is the most private data I have, and I’d prefer to keep it safe using a complex, unique and safe password. Once you do manage to log in, no support for FaceID or TouchID.

Inside IBX itself, the interface is slow to load, and feels outdated. Needs to be more responsive and the the design needs to be updated to match the website and/or modern app standards. UHC has been a leader in the mobile app game for insurers, and this app should take a page from their book and rebuild IBX for 2020

Information not up to date

IBX looks decent, but that’s where the positives end. IBX is just not useful and does not have up to date information on your claims. When I use IBX to search for claims, it says I have none, even though I’ve gotten numerous prescriptions through their health insurance. The Price-A-Drug feature is broken; try searching for any drug, it won’t find it. Prices for drugs are also inaccurate and not current. Totally useless. But what can you expect from a terrible insurance company that charges you exorbitant prices for drugs you need just to stay alive?

Recent update broke PIN & Auto-Login

IBX is serviceable, however the most recent update seems to have broken the PIN Login & Auto-Login features for me.

I’ve repeatedly set these options in the Device Settings, and have uninstalled/reinstalled IBX several times to clear IBX data and start fresh. I’m running the latest iOS (14.6) as of this writing.

IBX seems to set up these features on first run after reinstallation, but I always get an error message “System Unavailable - Please try again later…”, and then must login w/ User Name & Password.

Additionally, if I disable Auto-Login and try using *only* PIN Login, it tells me my PIN is incorrect, even after I’ve setup and double verified the information.

this app, will you please review & resolve this issue?

Worked fine until update!

With the new update I am unable to sign into the payment options. My account has been locked for a week now even though the message says “wait 15 minutes before trying again”. I’ve tried multiple times to talk to a representative but I’m given nothing but 3 different help numbers that lead me to the same place. No one seems to work at this affiliated ‘customer service’ company. Highly unprofessional and I will be enrolling with a different provider next year.

Terrible — No support for Face ID

This this app app is frustrating. It requires you to log in with a password every time you want to use it. That’s not too bad, except if you forget your password, it’s even more frustrating to reset it because it asks for your ID, but it is not clear what numbers on your physical card are needed to be entered. And heaven help you if you try more than three attempts too close together in time — you are locked out for 15 minutes.

Come on, this app, spend some money on a good developer and add facial ID support for us forgetful users.

A laughable app

I suppose interns have to start somewhere, but maybe on a less important app? The design abs bugs are terrible. None of the components are native and it shows. Elements fall off the page, lose focus, or otherwise are unresponsive. The custom drop down form menu breaks half the time, and a custom implementation of back and forward is clearly unfinished.

They say in the startup world that if you’re not embarrassed by your app on launch you waited too long, but blue cross is no startup, and y’all should be embarrassed by IBX.

Mobile site better than regular website

I had many problems/fails using this app online on my computer. After downloading the mobile app everything worked great! Haven’t had any problems so far. Easy to use and navigate.

They deserve to be sued

Basically based on a broken system. I have PPO with vision and dental. My app only shows vision. I am unable to login on their website to get my Rx member ID because their website does work properly either. Needed my prescription urgently and now their customer care timings are over am I will have to wait until morning to figure this out. The healthcare system in the US is BAD and non-functional for this and many other reasons!!!!!!!!!!!!

This app does not work!

IBX does not work. Not on my iPhone nor on an iPad. I have called Blue Cross numerous times over the past 6 weeks and have been told each time that info of my problem has been passed to tech support and it will be fixed. It still has not been fixed in 6 weeks! What’s the point of IBX if I can’t see my billing info or pay my bill online! Extremely disappointed!!!
Gave IBX one star only because zero stars is not an option!

By

More trouble than its worth!

IBX is a pain to use! Forget about using the password app with it. You will need to type in your password each time. It also doesn't work with Touch ID. There are also multiple errors while opening the claims overview. Probably the worst app I've seen in quite awhile. It does seem like IBX was developed by a 5th grade computer class as their first project. Not what i would expect from a multibillion dollar company.

App from 1997

IBX is clunky, slow, and encounters an error when trying to automatically log in. I swear IBX was developed in 1997 given the interface. It amazes me when apps are this low quality in the year 2019. If you’re feeling nostalgic for dial up quality online experience or if you love staring at “Please Wait” while endlessly waiting for IBX to load then you’ll want to download IBX.

Pretty fn useless

IBX is handy for displaying my Insurance Card, but nothing else. Am trying to find a Primary Care doctor and IBX can’t find one within 25 miles; even though there are dozens within five miles of my location.

There’s a specific doctor I’m looking for but i can’t search by name or by medical system (UCLA). I can only search by specialty and i get no results within 25 miles. Sheesh!

Needs a LOT of work

I just downloaded IBX today and I’m already close to deleting it. Every time I try to search up provider information, or just regular functions in IBX it says “application error”. IBX is supposed to be for on the go convenience. It’s very inconvenient for IBX to not work. I’ll update my rating when I can actually use it appropriately.

Can’t even get started

I’m trying to register for an account with this app Mobile so I can pay my bill on time, but every time I get to the email verification stage, it says the system is unavailable, so I can’t get past it. Is something happening because I’d really like to actually be able to use IBX to monitor my health insurance but you’re not making it easy.

By

Barely useful

Somehow IBX manages to be less useful than this app’s call center or website, and that’s a tall order. Provider search alternately does not work at all or gives back unhelpful results; “my benefits” section tells you NOTHING about your benefits; navigation is maddeningly difficult. And somehow it’s probably better than other health insurance apps.

By

Recent changes caused major battery drain

IBX can no longer be recommended especially if you use apple health with it. Turning apple health integration on causes the application to crash a lot. Additionally it drains the battery like there's no tomorrow. Additionally, the doctor finder is useless if you are not within the Pennsylvania area as you cannot switch it to national blue card PPO.

By

Absolutely terrible

IBX is completely awful. It doesn’t let me register a profile with it after I fill in the appropriate information and when I try to proceed to find medical services in my area, the map freezes then states there is nothing available in my area. I find that hard to believe since I live in San Diego.

Excellent App

It's nice to be able to check on billing and approvals in one easy place instead of making phone calls & shuffling through papers.

By

Outstanding app

Outstanding app I couldn’t find my health insurance bill so decided to use my app instead worked out great

By

Awesome

I am a subscriber to this app and I love the efficiency and effectiveness of the mobile site. I can see everything in detail and it’s easy to dispute something that I see.

By

Awful.

Used to be easy to use, can no longer pay my bill on IBX , and can no longer use my debit card. IBX is saying I owe double my premium as well. So frustrating, and I can only pay with a debit card. Don’t understand why there policy changes, it’s literally impossible to pay my premium.

By

Good app for on the go.

Good app for on the go in you need your card, nice to see the claims come up and what you owe to the provider before getting the bill in the mail!

By

Five star App!

Easy to navigate; information available right at your fingertips.

By

Good on the go

Really helpful to access a copy of my card and see quick claim info. Less helpful for details on my benefits

By

UI

Please, update your application for iPhone X resolution.

Seriously???

I’ve gotten to actually use IBX all of 3 times while it has been downloaded. Each and EVERY time I open it now, it will act as if it’s loading then crash. I’ve tried so many different tactics all of which have failed. 👎🏽 it’s a no for me
