I opened FlightStats for first time since Apple updated their new privacy rules. App asked if they could track. I asked app not to track.

Next was presented with a page stating they use advertisements to keep app free and to accept or ‘not now’. Click not now

**what happened following left a bad taste**

Proceeded to take me to a further page we’re I need to accept the tracking ( all selected ‘share’ by default). I have ability to deselect all, but it’s cumbersome and confusing. Additionally when you into enough screens you have only ‘Accept’ to get out. Otherwise you have to hard kill FlightStats to not be forced to accept.

The number of companies that the show as partners appears to be over 400, I lost count halfway through and many of these partners are all over the globe. It was difficult where these partners came from. Was not able to see if it was OneTrust or if it was Cirium/LexisNexis

I wanted to see if I could change settings. As a test I selected 1 partner to permit tracking with and entered FlightStats . I was able to make changes to cookies, however the list of partners was randomized and seeing one or two while scrolling was difficult without knowing what the name of the ad partner was.

3. Will delete this app and find a different app

I have been using FlyStat for several years now and it has been very good for the most part
I import highly perishable goods using airlines, with shipments from all over the world and I have to be able to see and know exactly where my cargo is at all times.
I do like that it remembers my airline and flight numbers as They are the same most of the time from our regular suppliers making it much easier to look for the arrival time.
The reason why I gave them 4 instead of 5 is because I have on a few occasions had incorrect information about the flights arrival time however it is usually the problem is brief and I do report it to them.
For the most part I truly like FlightStats and it is my first go to for fight information and I recommend it all the time to others

FlightStats is fabulous! Gives you a lot of information and works like a GIS with different layers, e.g. weather. Happened to be helpful tracking my family’s flight from Florida to New York so that I could see if they will not be caught up in a bad storm. I got information on diversion and delays...how much longer to arrival...all around great app. Not too technical, but if you know aviation terms, highly recommend it. Very, very happy that I have it.

So disappointed. I thought this was a decent app - until my flight was delayed and FlightStats didn't update. Even hours later, it still showed it was on time. A month later on another trip, it didn't show my flight being delayed at the start of my trip. At the end of the trip, I had delayed AND cancelled flights. NONE of them were marked as such. FlightStats is very unreliable! All it is good for is finding flights. Don't expect it to update and give you correct up to date information though! I could see being a little late updating, taking into consideration the time it takes for the info to get around, but hours later?!? Worthless.

If you travel by air this is one you need to have handy I really like FlightStats The only thing that I would change is to have the local time zone on it. let's say I was tracking a flight with family member on it and I was in Eastern time zone and their flight was actually off the West Coast or from Hawaii I'd like to see it show both time time zones the originating flight time zone and the times zone I'm actually in
This is a great app

I just downloaded FlightStats a couple hours ago because I was picking up a relative at the airport and I knew that the flight was behind schedule and I didn't want to leave the house too early. On my phone, FlightStats showed that the flight was delayed and gave me a fairly decent approximation of when the flight was due in. However, when I pulled FlightStats on my watch it showed me the original flight times for the flight never correcting for the delay. I hope they fix this in the future updates of FlightStats.

I learned about FlightStats from a ride sharing site to review incoming flights. The layout is nice and simple. Unfortunately, it suffers from providing irrelevant confusing information. It will layout some of the same flights as originating from multiple airlines. It may show one Delta flight as Aeromexico, KLM, etc. you can tell it’s the same flight by arrival time, flight number and subtext underneath. It just creates unnecessary confusion. There is no Aeromexico or KLM at my airport. No other app does this. I’m deleting it. Not useful for me at all. I’ll stick with using flight aware, a far superior app.

Downloaded recently even 2-3 others as well in past ten (10+) years several more, and I always come back to FlightStats for its simplicity and ease of use, no busy or cluttered look, gives me instantaneously what I’m looking for in just three (3) selections; whereas, others took too long, too many options that lead to no where but my frustrations. As a traveller entire life, FlightStats maintained its status.

After my FlightTrack app ended I was in a quick search for another that would give reliable flight stats. It was working OK despite being not as user friendly so I added a star. Then after looking at flights on a particular date I couldn't check any other days. The scrolling menu kept reverting back to the same date. Maybe I could reinstall but if that happened only after a few days, I don't want to deal with it at the most inopportune times. I just uninstalled it and am looking again. Made me miss the flawless FlightTrack even more.

If the airline wishes to keep its stats high for a specific flight and not get dinged by the airport or sued by companies for wasting peoples time (frontier is a great example of such despicable practice as they don’t update all of their flights delays) all they have to do is not change their departure time and FlightStats will never know of ANY delays! Hence the question, why would anyone pay for data they can easily get online from google? The delays reported are not real data, nor is it accurate or relevant? I am at the gate of a flight that is delayed by 2.5 hours and FlightStats says I departed from this gate on time :(
Not worth the time.

Great app for accurate and real time flight information. Usually more accurate than even the airports and I always use it to track friends and family coming to visit, or for my own travel plans. Easy and simple to use and no annoying ads or pop-ups every time you open it. Would highly recommend.

It’s great, FlightStats is really reliable and easy to use. I’ve had FlightStats for several years now and it hasn’t given up on me till now, I can’t search any airports, I search up Kord (Chicago O’Hare) and nothing shows up, then Kpwk(Chicago executive) still nothing, Mun(Munich) nothing and I did this servers times to many other airports and nothing shows up, I don’t know if it’s broken or something but I really desperately need it, please fix this 🙏

I have used Flight Stats for a couple of years, and it is the most useful flight tracking app available. It's information is often updated faster and more accurate than the airlines own apps. I have used it to monitor tight connections and make plans to reroute travel as travel situations were unfolding in real time. Thanks!!!!!

FlightStats is awesome and they have very easy and simple option to track the flights of your dear ones plus you can search through by the airport. They updated FlightStats time to time to fix the bugs. I would suggest to use this aap to track flight because it’s has updated information.

It’s disappointing that FlightStats can’t even get basic information correct.

Do a search for flights arriving at an airport during a specific hour and the times of flight arrivals are all over the map. They’re not ordered by arrival time, they’re not order by arrival airline, nothing makes sense.

If you do a search for arrivals from 5 to 6 PM, for example, you get flights arriving at 3 or 4 PM or 7 or 8 PM, it does not give you flight info for flights arriving between five and six.

Last week old version stopped working- mid travel it said my flights were non existent. So I downloaded new version. Lack of being able to save upcoming flights and ads at both bottom and top of screen are app killers for me. No option to purchase ad free. Previous version was perfect - always on top of delays, easily readable and programmable w future flights - and NO ads. FlightStats is now in the trash. Better options out there. Too bad.

The "trend" or "stAtus" or "change" graph with colors is immediately confusing. Make it simple for people who have not taken statistics in college. Just use 4-5 levels each named something like "quick" "medium" "some delay" "creeping" etc. It confuses to have both numbers and colors. And is 5 low delay or high? Label the numbers with "quick" on one end "slow" on the other.

Also, you have no email address to mail suggestions to on FlightStats .

If you work in the industry as a Pilot, Flight Attendant, or even on Ramp! FlightStats is the most reliable app I’ve found to keep track of all flights! It’s always on time you can track by aircraft number and flight number. This is like a personal operations agent in your hand! Know when and where your flight is with confidence and ease!

I was waiting to board a plane
I knew was originating in Jakarta and scheduled to land at my location (SJ52) for boarding and return to Jakarta (SJ53). When I noticed that there was no plane at my gate, I checked FlightStats. It said that the flight from Jakarta was "On-Time," but had departed at 3:48 pm and would arrive at my location (250+ miles away) at 3:50 pm. Really... 2 minutes later. I could do the math myself and see that this plane was not "On-Time." Furthermore, it wasn't true that the plane would land 2 minutes later. If I use an app to help me with my flight plans, I need one that is accurate.

We get a ton of guests and use FlightStats constantly to check arrival and departure times & statuses without even having our guests flight number. We don't drive to the airport without first checking FlightStats, and it even shows us how many minutes out the flight is. Sooooo very glad I found FlightStats!
